Well, I don't know either why they thought that. I see, it's like, you studied but then when is the time to do the exam you just forget everything and you feel that you don't know anything, right? That happened to me last year, it was horrible, moreover it was my favorite subject.
Well, here in Portugal that subject exists.

    Oh, that's great.
Why your Geography fail was hilarious? xD
Thanks, I really need luck, specially for the Portuguese Literature exam, it will be difficult.

Haha, I think the same is gonna happen to me. I know that I have to study but then I'm gonna be like "Well, I have time to study, so now I'm gonna do something else and then study" and 2 hours later "Well, I still have time to study so I don't need to do it now" xD But I'm gonna have explanation classes almost everyday so I'm gonna study everyday. So, you're in college, right?

I hope you get better soon (:
Well, for me classes are already over but I can't say that I'm on holidays 'cause I have explanation classes in the next 2 for the 2 national exams I'm gonna have.

Yes, hayfever is extremely annoying! I've had to deal with this since I was 10 or 11 years old. You can take antihistamines but I've gotten immune to the stuff by now. I could try some spray - or just stay inside as much as possible, lol. But it seems that so almost everybody is suffering from hayfever nowadays, quite weird.
Ah too bad. I hope, you can get tickets for that other Foos gig!
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are a weird one. I do like a few songs (Under the bridge, Other side, Californication) but in general they're not my kind of band. I've got the Californication album and only like the singles. I think, they're a little too "weird" for my liking. And I often think that many bands sound very samey to me but that might just be normal. It's probably just not a problem if you like the band, though. LOL

Hey, so what was the birthday party like? I'm being extremely lazy at the moment, I just stay inside my flat because of my hayfever. Vicious pollen. But it should be over in 2 weeks, I don't really want to take too many antihistamines.
Oh, I did know The Pretender and Best Of You! So I seem to know more songs by the Foos than I thought. Not bad, solid rock music I'd say. Not bad at all but not the kind of band I'd go completely crazy for. But they're surely a great live band. You should go see them.
Same here! If I was living in Berlin I'd go to many more gigs. The problem is that no band I like ever comes to my region, they all come to Berlin or Munich (quite understandable). And travelling is quite expensive over here, train tickets are ridiculously overpriced, and then accomodation, it all adds up and makes going to gigs quite expensive for me. So I only go to gigs of bands I really really have to see. Or combine it with holidays in London.
If you do like Suede you're lucky, they've released a Best Of last year. Best Of albums are always good starting points. I only started listening to The Smiths for the reason you mentioned as well, because many bands I like have always cited them as an influence. My parents didn't even know The Smiths but they had never been not into alternative/indie rock at all. So I got myself a few compilation albums, they're really good.

Yes, I'm still a teacher. But I'm thinking about moving to another (bigger) town and getting a teacher's permit for another subject (I'm a little tired of only teaching history and political sciences).
I think, Pulp are also playing Reading/Leeds. And aren't U2 playing Glastonbury? That should be interesting, they haven't played any festivals for years, I think.
Haha, you're a gig addict! Awesome. I'm thinking about going to see Morrissey in Berlin in July. I love the Smiths, also some songs by Morrissey (but I only have his Best Of compilation as I prefer what he did with the Smiths to his solo stuff). I've never seen him live and I think, he does play some Smiths songs at his gigs and he's said to be a good performer and singer.
Yes, check them out! I'm very biased as they're my all-time favourite band but I think, they're different from Blur and Oasis. A little more similar to Muse with the melodramatic piano ballads (The 2 of us) and the piano-guitar mix, the odd classical influence (Still life), the changes to a poppier style and more electronics and the singer's voice. But a little "filthier" (and more real-life) in their lyrics and the band's image (songs about drugs, weird relationships, sex, underground stations, telephones, feeling miserable in London etc.)
I've never really got into the Foo Fighters, I only know 3 or 4 songs (Everlong, Wheels). Which others should I check out?

Yes, festivals are so expensive! I prefer proper gigs anyway.
Pulp are just ... Pulp. I've always liked them but somehow haven't seen them live yet, only Jarvis Cocker solo. I just love his lyrics and he's a funny guy.
Well, about Suede, try one of these: Metal Mickey, Animal Nitrate, We are the pigs, The wild ones. If you don't like them, it's probably not your cup of tea. But maybe you'll like them as Muse kind of became my rebound band when they split up, so there must be similarities.
We haven't exchanged news for a while, I've been terribly busy since last autumn/winter. Weren't you thinking about switching colleges or tsomething? Or am I mixing you up with somebody else?
