Is it just me or has that "Somewhere Only We Know" song been floating about for a while?
I seemed to know all the words to it but can't remember hearing it properly.
ooooo Keane!! I've listened only two song so far, but I'm falling in love with their music :)

Well, after seeing them last night I think I can safely say they will have another one or two big singles, the album will do quite well, and then they'll be forgotten about.
Nice songs, nice guys, just missing that SOMETHING.

Just spent 3 hours in a queue for free tickets to see them on Wednesday night.
there was a hundred and something tickets, but most of them had been reserved (whish we were told couldn't be done)... so with in 30mins, they'd all gone.. and we still didn't have any!!!
they said if people who reserved didn't pick up by two.. we could have them... so there was about 20ish people after 9 tickets
... :D me and my friend got one each! :D

Seeing them on May7 which should be good beucase everyone seems to think theyre really good live. Great voice and I think its amazing that they dont have guitars - only a piano thing and drum kit.

Listened to it yesterday to and thought it was all nice and dreamy and er made me think of nice fluffy white clouds. The only criticism I have is they don't seem to know how to start songs very well, they just go straight in to it and it always scares the hell out of me.

i met both bands, because what no one realised was that the queue for all the keane fans closed when the signing was over so that there went a load of keane fans stopping the killers fans getting there, so i met keane and then was at the front on the killers queue. and yes you did have to force dave and mark to speak to you

I thought Keane were alright when I saw them at T a couple of years ago. At least they sound decent live so obviously don't rely on the recording process to make them sound better.

hello everybody,
beside Muse I’m also a big fan of Keane.
so I decided to open this thread about Keane.
after I heard “Somwhere only we know” in 2004 I became a big fan.
at 06-07-2007 I say them live in Amsterdam and it was amazing (and I gave Tom a hand!)
so everybody can give his opinion about keane en talk about keane here.
or talk about news you heard of Keane or maybe new gigs.
Keane is: Tim Rice-Oxley, Tom Chaplin & Richard Hughes
Albums:
Hopes and Fears (2004)
Under the Iron Sea (2006)

Keane are up there with Coldplay as the most boring music I've had to listen to, it just doesn't go anywhere, it's elevator music.

I'm torn between a few.... Bend and Break, For Your Eyes Open and Bedshaped.
I LOVE Bend and Break, specifically this bit...
'bitter and hardened heart.... ooo ooohh aching, waiting for life to start'. Not sure why, its just, you know, it just really strikes me. Its Tom's pronunciation of those certain words and the emphasis on certain parts of the words! *almost confused myself*.
I like Can't Stop Now too, in a sort of selfish way! (what??)

Hmm cool
Didn't Tim Rice Oxley say that 'Perfect Symmetry' was the best song he ever wrote? Can't wait to hear it. I do hope all the songs aren't like Spiralling though, I didn't really like it that much.

I know but thats Keane's sound. I think its admirable of them to dicard guitars. There are more guitars in Under The Iron Sea, but Hopes and Fears is better.
Bedshaped is beautiful

Yeah that is true...... I have never really listened to the full album I must admit! I'm pretty one track with music and I like my Rock 'n' Roll bands. But this song is stunning so I maye give the album a try and try and open my mind a bit more.
