Finnish music has always been like that, it has just become mainstream lately (as in finnish bands getting famous outside their home country), thus spawning lots of crappy melancholic goth bands.

Yeah, I've heard a lot about Finnish music being very depressive and melancholic because of your culture and all of that, but yes, the bad part is that it's become too fashionable, and now you find a bunch of clones singing about the same things. :rolleyes:

The Rasmus are becoming like that, and I hate it. I like Into and Dead Letters waaaaay more than Hide From The Sun. That album was a total flop.

the 'dark style' of the rasmus is a lie, they are rock, the lyrics probably are similar like lyrics dark.
please listen "days" (2001), any change from the rasmus in this song?

Gods I used to love this band... I absolutely adored them.
Then I came here, properly discovered Muse, and somehow it ended quite quickly. Odd. :LOL:

Anyway, I do still sometimes listen to their old stuff (been listening to Peep and Hellofatester again lately), and it's still great to hear it again :happy: ... I got a friend of mine, who only knows some Dead Letters and Hide From the Sun stuff to listen to Peep (I let her borrow my copy), and she said it was great (hilarious, as well).
I've been trying to get her to listen to Muse as well. She got as far as saying that they're brilliant live, but that she still doesn't really like their music... ah well... I'll give her some time.

I should listen to Dead Letters again... Especially after having 'Guilty' pop up in my head for no specific reason.

Although I love their last album (and certainly don't find it repetitive), I do think it may have been a tiny bit rushed.

I was wondering if anyone got their latest album, Black Roses. It apparently came out here in September and I had no idea! It was popular in Finland anyway...

I've heard the first single and it's quite good, a bit different!

I had a listen to a few of the songs from their new album before it was released in September, unfortunately I wasn't impressed. I don't think I'll be buying this one. :(

But I didn't cos it was 16 quid. 16 QUID! FOR A RASMUS ALBUM! IN A ZAVVI THAT'S CLOSING DOWN!!!

They had about 20 copies too!
