The Academy would be awesome but they could play there for 2 weeks in a row and it'd be sold out every night. I first saw them in the Academy many years ago - shame they are way too big to play there anymore.

On the M.E.N website it says:

There are no age restrictions to any shows however we request that no children under 14 come unaccompanied and we also advise that no under 14s go on the floor for standing floor shows.

Yes - this is what I want to know - I have exactly the same problems and wouldn't be able to stand for a gig. I too have already booked a hotel and will have to join the scrum on
14 June for seated tickets - I consider myself a true Muse fan too, and it would be nice to have the opportunity to pre-register for seated tickets. Attention the organisers - can you do something about this??! The arrangements for the Wembley Stadium gig were great - allocating a code so we could get tickets - only took me 8 minutes to buy mine!

The one next to the Arena is the Premier Inn - I booked our room last week! Learnt my lesson when trying to get accommodation for the Wembley Stadium gig!

Sadly won't be going this time as ticket prices are just too high :( - totally ridiculous for an Arena IMO :eek:- but here's a tip for those of you who will be trying to get tickets on Thursday.

Try Ticketline and Seetickets as well as Ticketmaster, Seetickets are only good for standing tickets really as they don't give you the seat numbers when booking, but Ticketline does and it's not as well known as the other 2 so you stand a better chance of a good seat :)

the reason people think they are getting charged is because your statement total online will be minus the transaction. However, (at least with natwest) the "total avaliable" column does not have the reduction....

Sneaking over from the LG thread as also annoyed about this. Have spoken to the LG arena themselves and even they don't know if there will be seating available.

I'm going to be 7 months pregnant at the time and so standing isn't going to be easy!! Can be done, but I'd really rather have a seat!

If seating becomes available with general sale I will try, and if I fail I'll be hoping someone wants to swap!

Yes, we know the arenas have seats - I think what we are all complaining about is that the fan pre-sale application process was for standing tickets only - some of us are unable to stand for that length of time for various reasons!

Got the email at half 4 this morning! Seems like quite alot of people got their emails around that time too. If it hasn't arrived yet hopefully it will soon. The original email we got sent confirming our application said that the money would be taken out of our accounts on Tuesday, and then we would get an email on Wednesday. If money hasn't been taken out of your account maybe you haven't got the tickets? Hope you get your email soon tho! :)

My confirmation e-mail came through at three o clock this morning, Im so pleased because I really could not stop refreshing my hotmail account!. I would say that there is still time for other e mails to be sent. I checked my bank online last night and the money was still being held, I used it as a good omen. Fingers crossed!

I am not happy at all about the lack of standing, as others have also said before me, I refuse to sit. I just dont think the seats are worth the price you pay, if they were a lot cheaper than standing then I might consider, but even upper tier seats are £55. Guess I'm also hoping for another date / an extra ticket release.

Haha, sorry! If it makes you feel any better part of the reason I say those seats are so bad is because my eyes are bad so I physically cannot see from that distance! Also they'll have big screens on either side of the stage probably so you'll be able to see them! I personally just hate the upper tier :P

Haha, no problem :-) To be completely honest, it's going to be an amazing experience where ever you sit but I really hate sitting at shows! The only way I'll buy seated tickets for this gig is if it gets nearer the date and there's no standing tickets being sold anywhere.

I still think the gig tickets could be going for less than face value close to the gig - it seems that most of the tickets have been bought by touts. If we just refrain from buying them until October, the touts will think that nobody wants to pay high prices for the tickets, and hopefully lower the prices just to get rid of them.

Yep once they get wind of a big gig the prices shoot up. Birmingham hotels still cheap but I bet the London prices have shot up. At time of pre sale Grenwich premier inn was £52 on the Fri and about £85 on the sat, central Travelodges were around £45.

Think Manchester Travelodges were £19.

The trick is to keep your eye out for the release of tour dates (which is usually a couple of weeks before the tickets released)...then book a room in somewhere like Travelodge where you can book without paying and its cancellable...exactly what I did for Manchester - got 2 family rooms for £39 each!
