That applies to UK only though :p worldwide they aren't still that big (I hope they make it with the new album). That said, I'd love them if they were the only opener
Ah me too, I think they're pretty good to be honest

Ooo oo thought of another, The Subways?

For the Arena tour, yes, but maybe not for Stadium gigs.

I think Metric are quite likely, they've supported before and they have a new album out this year.

Could it be Metric although they've already supported Muse before ? My girlfriend loves that, lol I think it'd be she's highlight in the gig if so, she isn't as crazy muser as I

I'm secretly hoping for Pulp  even though they could probably pack out the O2 themselves

They most probably could do their own O2 Arena shows. :chuckle:

The Big Pink ??? Sod off - what a whiny shower of shite

Love the earlier suggestion of Franz Ferdinand or The Horrors ...Loving a band called "Me" getting a fair bit of play on NME :D

I can see Biffy supporting at least once. After all, they will have two albums to promote. Why not do a little promotion with Muse?

As long as it's not The Big Pink again, I don't care.
After they nearly blinded me and bored me to death when they supported Muse in Birmingham, I have seen them as a support act or one the bill at gigs FIVE TIMES. I swear they're stalking me...

Kasabian are far to big to support Muse in the UK, and a large part of Europe...
Possibility for the US, but no way for the UK.

Definitively not !!! Tom say Kasabian is not made for opening a show after the experience with U2 in the US, so you're right ! ;)

I hope its Biffy Clyro...
Saw something kinda interesting in Kerrang! Magazine regarding them:

"Will you be touring later in the year?
Simon: There's a few things coming up, but it'll be announced around the album release, I'm sure!"

It'll be announced means its already planned and their album is being released in August/September which means their announcement will be around the time when we would expect the support to be announced...but its probably just to do with their album and their own touring. Meh, just something I thought about while reading it

He, not them. And no, I honestly doubt that Maynard would be. for one thing he's a bigger musical figure then Muse.

I doubt it will be Biffy, except maybe for in the US or Oceanic regions. They're to big in Europe.

I'd really like to see Broken Hands supporting, maybe if there's more than one support. Caught them supporting Band of Skulls so there's a bit of a connection there already.

No-one can be as bad as The Big Skanky though, so I'm sure it will all be fine, lol

Pulled Apart by Horses again maybe??

I'd love to see Blood Red Shoes support!

My list of possibles: Enter Shikari, Blood Red Shoes, Editors, PABH, Pendulum, Young Guns, Band of Skulls, Cage the Elephant & Biffy Clyro (at least on mainland Europe or something)

Don't rule Enter Shikari out, I'd say. They have nothing on between October and December as far as I know..

Biffy are awesome but I think they're now at the level that they could headline the O2 Arena on their own, so someone else maybe needed.

I still love the idea of Two Door Cinema Club supporting - they are getting bigger but they're still a fair bit from arenas, and I think they have a new album this year.

But as for who realistically could, I don't really have any idea. Just as long as it's not The Big Pink again.

apparantly 'ME' will probably be the support act for the UK leg of the tour http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-M54n0aDm0w .
They've just been supporting 'panic! at the disco' and outside after the gig where people wait at the tour buses for sigs etc they'd let it slip about touring with Muse. It was a friend who'd attended the gig that told me and had overheard it as they were talking to other fans but id kinda dismissed it and hadent heard of them but just looked up one of their vids and saw a comment below the vid about them touring with Muse, so thought it would be worth posting.

Talk about boring the crowd, the whole arena was dead during their entire set in Fort Worth and honestly I could understand why. Passion Pit wasn't so bad, at least they actually got the crowd moving in OKC.

Talk about boring the crowd, the whole arena was dead during their entire set in Fort Worth and honestly I could understand why. Passion Pit wasn't so bad, at least they actually got the crowd moving in OKC.

Odd that our experiences are totally swapped. :p

I was at that same Oakland show and I definitely loved Silversun as an opener. Stuff like a camera flash war got some decent attention from the crowd. I was never a big fan of Passion Pit so I'm kinda glad I got to see the other opener.

They are definitely a good band, and their new album is quite good. The experience was lackluster though and their performance wasn't as energetic, but Ive never seen a crowd so dead. Must be a Fort Worth thing, because honestly the crowd didn't move that much once Muse came on until Stockholm Syndrome. They played MK Ultra too, and the crowd's energy was flat lined. Shame.

On topic as to who id like to support them: Id love to see Two Door Cinema Club, Friendly Fires, or Delphic do it.

Alt-J + Bloc Party + Muse :awesome:

Hmmm, I rather like. I've made it clear before that I cant stand Shikari, but I appear to be very much in the minority.

Maybe LP in the UK? They seem about the right size to support Muse and their new music would fit quite nicely. Plus they've said a couple of times they like Muse, or at least view them as one of the bands to measure themselves against.

White Lies again please? I'm still miffed that they and Biffy didn't support on the Wembley gig I went to.

All I know is that Shikari would be better than Passion Pit again. I think that band bored the crowd in Sacramento, leaving them dead for when Muse came on.

I'd like to see Silversun Pickups support Muse again on this cycle. I'm hoping for it since they have a new album out and really got the crowd going at the Oakland show.
Personally I liked Passion Pit, but I think Shikari would be pretty good. Also, whoever posted that song by ME did sound good, and they would be a good opening act. Overall, I hope Muse have two supporting acts on some of the concerts instead of one like last time. And I would love Silversun Pickups to open.
Jack White might work (and I'd fucking kill to see him live), I've got a feeling Muse wouldn't get him in though :(

Seriously, it needs to happen. I'm going to die of anticipation. Well actually, I'm going to end up busing to freaking Dortmund. Help me, I'm crazy.

I wouldn't mind Biffy Clyro again, they were great at Wembley

Would never want to see The Big Pink, The Streets or DPT again, they were dire

It was great to see local bands at the Teignmouth gigs

Back to the question though, Threshold would be a fab support act. They're a British prog metal group and really know how to get the crowd going and involved.

I love the Pretty Reckless too, Taylor Momsen has a great voice

Kasabian and Biffy are too big to support.

Deap Vally are really cool, they play a nice garage rock (similar to White Stripes if you want). I don't like Everything Everything that much (and I get them :indiff:)

But last time they had Biffy Clyro and I would have guessed that Muse is far bigger by now especially in Germany. Meh, I don't like the White Stripes :stunned:. But on the other hand - who likes the support band? Usually it is something you have to cope with just to be rewared with a Muse concert in the end. I am glad they have only one support act per show.
