I don't think people forgot about the nomination bit last year, since they were nominated for best band, best live, best album, best album artwork, best website, best live event and best band blog. But the problem is that people forget to actually vote when the nominations are done. pity.

Don't much care whether they win anything or not (I doubt they do either, it's just another award won by whichever act's fans press the button the most number of times) so long as I can go and enjoy the ceremony and free beer!:D

Free booze is only for the two hundred or so they let down the front:)

I can't remember as someone else gave me their link for last year's awards, think it was two though?? Seem to remember they cost about £30 each including booking fees.

We did queue from about midday and all of us at the front were given a pass for the front but they also gave some more passes out randomly further along the queue.

I personally shall be queueing again if I get a ticket as really, really want to be down at the front again, it was such a fun night out!:happy:

They let you go in the area which would normally be occupied by the bouncers at a normal gig, the bit between the barrier and the stage, so you are right up against the stage with all the celebs behind you on the raised area (they put in a temporary floor for the awards).

Unless of course you have the cheek to climb up WITH the celebs as though you belong there!:LOL::LOL::LOL:

After people who won the chance to buy tickets last year were sent the link to do so, I don't think enough of them went on to buy tickets because shortly after that the news went out that anyone could buy them. They were on sale through Seatwave, that was the official outlet for both those sent the link and those who bought without the link.

hello! I made an account just to suggest a "strategy" for voting.
I don't know if it would work exactly, but it's just an idea.
Instead of voting 1 for all the other men, skip them, so that they don't receive any votes at all... I always just assumed all those little 1 votes would add up and in a way we're still voting for Alex Turner..
Unless it's calculated differently, :unsure:

my strategy is to open up about 20 tabs, and then have all of them loading one after the other so you don't have to wait for them to load... :p

I'm voting Dom this year! Matt's got the birth of his first child to look forward to, I'm thinking the prospect of winning Hottest Male award is amazingly insignificant in comparison. So, I've switched allegiance to Dom who might enjoy winning this time and who deserves it :D

Yes it has! Of course we have a right to know most of these things, but do we really need to know them at cost of many lives potentially being lost because of the leaks? Don't you think they maybe should have READ ahead what they published? Don't you think that some things in there would be better kept secret?
