of course they're happy. They are brining in the cash and don't moan about the setlist because they play SMBH every night anyway :p

The end of that article makes me happy... maybe the break won't be as long as we thought :awesome: (Although hopefully it's long enough that they are able to "recover" and be nice and fresh for the new album :))

Why not. Fans are fans, it doesn't matter which way they find about Muse.

It's definitely better than people finding about Muse through Twilight and deciding that they suck. :D

Cheesy? As a Twilight fan I thought that neutron song was cheesy. A ripoff of Queen. He tried to clean it up but it's too late. It's just like Paramore. What's with these ungreatful little ******* bands? Twilight makes them famous and then they give us their asses to kiss. The cat's out of the bag. Muse used Twilight to get their music out which they did. Made millions and now wants to try and dis Twilight and distance itsself just like Paramore did which is why I don't follow their music anymore. Fans need to take a stand and start dissing them back. I hope they aren't used for Breaking Dawn. Time to move on Steph.

lulz.

Oh my jesus, look who it is.

I'm so happy that Tom is getting a little bit of recognition. He looks so happy too.
(that or they obviously needed a third member to take chris' place while he's busy with Buster)
But still. Its nice to see his face next to those two every once and a while. lovely pic.

Yeah, we all know the first film was crap. Matt says it was pretty good. But fans are fans. Who cares really?!

I thought it was pretty okay. Does that mean I'm wrong? :)

yes. fans are fans, money are money.
Twilight gives Muse many new fans. Until this film is trendy they are more popular, but to be honest... I don't like this fact that Muse music is in twilight.
I know is good for they because Muse is popular but this all saga is crappy. IMO

There is nothing wrong with Twilight fans finding out about Muse through the movies and then going back through Muse's back-catalogue... it's just they all seem to know SMBH and Starlight and complain when we all mosh around to CE.

I hate the way this article seems to suggest Muse were some unknown band until the Twilight films and didn't exist before The Resistance.

It's not like they had 2 number 1 albums or anything.:p

Chris' comments are completely being taken out of context when it seemed he was debating with himself whether it was a good idea.

There's nothing wrong with having your music in a film. Some film soundtracks are amazing and I'm sure the majority of people, myself included have discovered songs and bands through films.

The issue is becoming synonymous with a particular series of films and the effect that'll have in the long term and it could be ultimately damaging as they are seen as the "Twilight band" rather than Muse.

But obviously Muse can't come out saying they are unhappy with the association, especially if there's more films and there may still some contract on the go, just to be cynical and also, pissing off Twilight fans wouldn't be nice or good PR either.
And whilst it may be winning them new fans, it could be losing them fans just as easily. NSC & Plug In Baby both reached number 11 in the charts I think, Plug In Baby came out at a time when singles sold more than they do today...

"Loads of young fans come to our gigs now who say, 'We heard that song from that film,' " he told MTV News' Tim Kash after the AMAs. "And that's great. We're happy with that."

Sure you do.

Bellamy also said that he's fine with the vampire flicks. "The first one was pretty good," he told Kash. "The second one I only saw a bit of it. A guy kept taking his shirt off and showing his muscles, which was getting a little cheesy."

I can almost imagine him trying to watch that, haha :D

That is true fans are fans, it is just a bit odd (to me) that NSC is one of the top singles. I suppose, it's recent, but still...

Either way, I haven't come across many twihards since I've left high school. "Twilight" is a swear word at university and my tutor nearly kicked me out of the class after uttering the title and Stephanie Meyer.

Wow. I love it...*is going to try to get a ban on the word 'Twilight' at school* :D

Join my class. Honestly, I'm on a mission with my pupils. Whenever one of my pupils says that she likes the Twilight books/movies I tell her to read Bram Stoker or to watch real vampire movies. I'm a bitch but I mean well.

Yeah, school is a wee bit different to studying an Arts degree at uni (and your tutor is studying their PhD in English).

As long as they love them for their music and not because they remind them to edward - why not?! If I had children I would appreciate it if they would listen to Muse instead of hip hop and flat pop music  Muse in any case better for their mindset.

Actually I only know one twihard my age. The rest are 40+ year old women. :erm: :wtf: :stunned:

It kinda sucks though, because twilight is my favorite time of the day and now it has a bad association. :chuckle:
