Wembley Stadium DVD (11.9.10) + Casino de Paris

Hey all

Im going to be putting together a multiangle DVD/Bluray of Muses second night at Wembley Stadium (in the same way as the royal albert hall dvd i edited last year) made up from HD footage of the performance. Id planned to make a DVD of the gig before the night and have the entire gig shot on two HD angles and as hoped, theres a huge selection of HD angles from the night that are up on youtube so there will be plenty for me to work with.
I've began editing today but wanted to ask if you have footage from the second night at Wembley Stadium you would like to donate to the project then please do, the more footage to work with the better the finished product will be! :)
Everyone donating footage will ovcourse be credited and the finished product will be uploaded to musebootlegs for free download.

Thanks for taking the trouble to do this. I wish I had taken my camcorder so you could have used the footage. I have never recorded Muse but do record other bands. I dont want anything to spoil the gig. Last saturday was the best gig of my life. I am old (45) and have seen many bands in their prime, (U2, Sex Pistols, Prodigy etc) but nothing compared to this gig. Trully brilliant. Far better than last week at Manchester. Thanks for the click track recording too. What do you use? I use a Sony MD recorder but am thinking of getting an Edirol R09.

I've uploaded a sample of the DVD, the complete intro / Uprising.
It's all coming together really well and I have a further few more edited since Uprising, but wanted to uploaded this just as a teaser.

The sound on this clip wont be the sound I use on the finished DVD, when all the clips are edited I will be layering it with the best audience recording audio.

The editing is going very well, I've just today finished Citizen Erased and yes I agree that angle really is fantastic, and it does feature for plenty of Citizen Erased.

To download the finished DVD, you just need to be registred on Musebootlegs and have a normal torrent client programme to be able to download them :)

MTM has been finished for ages now but its not being put up for download like the others straight away, atm I cant give a set date or anything when that will be released because its not exactly up to me atm without going into too much but when its ready (which really wont be much longer) ill be updating the MTM thread.

As for this project, im just working at it till its finished and as soon as it is ill be forwarding it to paul to host on musebootlegs along with some other dvds ive completed at the same time.

You're takeabow19?! As in takeabow19 from the "Matt Bellamy Is The Music Man" video? :LOL: That was one of the funniest things I'd seen in years XD Absolutely love that video...Haha! Anyway...The teaser video...One quick question...Well there be a fade in on the intro (just one of those small things that always seems to grate with me when there isn't XD)? But hey...I can't complain whatever you do =) I love that you can really see the rain which made that performance so special...I have to say that some of the camera cuts do seem a bit sudden though...Especially when it goes from a still camera to one being held by someone jumping around...chrisf3000's video seemed more consistently smoother somehow but I guess this is only a teaser...And I know the pro-shot videos change camera angle a lot...And it does work really well during the riffs at the end...But maybe in the earlier parts of the video like the intro and so on it could be a bit steadier? Whatever the end result though I can't wait to see it through in what will be much-better-than-YouTube quality =D

The start of that vid isnt the start of the actual DVD, theres an intro ive done which features the stadium, people queing, shots of the memrobillia inside the stadium, overshots of the stadium etc. so it dousent just abruptly start like the teaser vid.

I like to keep the pacing going throughout the song suited to the atmosphere of the stadium and song pacing to keep that fast paced adrenalin going while watching it. Theres not much I can do about a camera angle being steady or shakey as Im just working with what I can. cheers :)

Oh cool...And not at all...I completely understand...I just meant that like...In the intro bit where momentum hadn't really built up it...Maybe a fade between the camera angles might have been a bit easier until the full flow of the main song kicked in...During the protest and so on...At the moment my eyes just begin to settle and then they have to refocus...It's alright when the song gets going though as I'm sort of expecting it then...Only a very minor point though...The overall thing is looking excellent :D What file type will the final video be by the way? Just curious =)

Some of the uploaders may not want their footage converted to avi, but if its ok with them and theres high demand for avi's then i will :)

Liam, will there be any footage of the support acts from the 11th? I have fallen in love with I Am Arrows, White Lies, and Biffy Clyro since seeing them and would like a bit of their set on the dvd just for the memories.

I appreciate all the hard work you put into this sort of stuff so very much, and I wish you good luck with all your projects such as the Teignmouth gig dvd, Casino gig dvd, Muse the Movie dvd, and of course the wonderful youtube spoofs! (I still bring out the RAH dvd sometimes to watch again, awesome job!)

I might alter the bass etc before rendering it all but I might leave it as it is because when you watch it back in surround sound it sounds near enough perfect and you can alter the bass etc yourself.

I wont be able to feature any of the support acts on the DVD because the more footage I have the more compressed it becomes and I want to give the footage as much air to breathe as possible to retain the quality as best it can be, sorry.

Hey all

Im going to be putting together a multiangle DVD/Bluray of Muses second night at Wembley Stadium (in the same way as the royal albert hall dvd i edited last year) made up from HD footage of the performance. Id planned to make a DVD of the gig before the night and have the entire gig shot on two HD angles and as hoped, theres a huge selection of HD angles from the night that are up on youtube so there will be plenty for me to work with.
I've began editing today but wanted to ask if you have footage from the second night at Wembley Stadium you would like to donate to the project then please do, the more footage to work with the better the finished product will be! :)
Everyone donating footage will ovcourse be credited and the finished product will be uploaded to musebootlegs for free download.

Also (I thought id mention this here instead of creating another thread) ive recently completed a DVD of the casino de paris gig;

Just a quick update, the videocard problems are fixed now so im back editing, and am about 3/4 done now.

edit: the quality in the youtube vid is nothing compared to the full resolution edit. Id compressed the snippet alittle when uploading to youtube so it hasent done it any justice picture wise in the above clip.

I feel that the Friday night deserves to be stuck up for, so here goes. I went both nights, and after having an awesome time Friday I was looking forward to seeing it all again on Saturday. Saturday was obviously better, almost entirely down to Citizen Erased and Bliss for me. But I was excited I got to hear IBTY live for the first time, and aslo some of my all time favourites such at B&H and New Born. Seeing both nights was a great variation of songs and absolutely worth the costs of both tickets, I don't regret going Friday at all.
I'm really glad you guys decided to include some of the extra songs from Friday night on the DVD, it's all looked amazing so far. Thanks again for all your hard work!

But that was my exact point...I've never seen a Muse crowd so dead as in that NSC video...And I don't think I've ever seen a Muse crowd bouncing so much as in the Bliss videos from the 11th...I was just saying that the scale of the difference is staggering :LOL:

But yeah...The 11th was incredible...From Biffy being awesome...To the MTV Exit video straight after and singing along to that whilst assuming it meant they wouldn't play it in the show...to the rain starting the moment Uprising began...to the teasing opening notes of MK-Ultra and realising that they were going to play it and that it potentially signalled the beginning of an amazing night...to recognising the arpeggios Matt was playing on guitar and thinking "*gasp* I think it's Bliss! I think it is! Oh My God!"...To recognising the first drumbeat after Hysteria and screaming with ecstasy...And then the opening notes of Ruled By Secrecy later on and nearly crying with joy...Special special night...Plus of course the rest of the show which was amazing anyway...And I can't even include MOTP in my list of special moments because I spent most of it trying to get the security guys to give me some water...And it was only 10 minutes in! XD

I feel that the Friday night deserves to be stuck up for, so here goes. I went both nights, and after having an awesome time Friday I was looking forward to seeing it all again on Saturday. Saturday was obviously better, almost entirely down to Citizen Erased and Bliss for me. But I was excited I got to hear IBTY live for the first time, and aslo some of my all time favourites such at B&H and New Born. Seeing both nights was a great variation of songs and absolutely worth the costs of both tickets, I don't regret going Friday at all.
I'm really glad you guys decided to include some of the extra songs from Friday night on the DVD, it's all looked amazing so far. Thanks again for all your hard work!

I agree. I went to both nights too and Friday was just as good and full of surprises, IMO. Saturday had Bliss and RBS (I couldn't care less about CE), but Friday had B&H and IBTY and those two songs alone made the night mega fantastic :happy:

Yeah I'm sure it was still an amazing show...I was listening outside for about 3/4 of it (I didn't get to Wembley till the end of Guiding Light)...I'd have loved B+H on Saturday...I was actually hoping for it after MK Ultra and so was somehow disappointed when MOTP started which meant I couldn't enjoy that as much as I should have done sadly...And if you like the newer stuff then I'm sure it was a great show anyway...I personally was never much of a fan of I Belong To You and so on so I wasn't bothered about missing that...Obviously it just depends on your personal preference...I personally would have chosen the 11th over the 10th every time...But that's just down to which songs I personally like most...I'm sure 10th was great...Although I was disgusted by the number of people leaving the venue on the 10th after Unnatural Selection...And they kept on coming out through the encore and stuff too...Through Stockholm Syndrome, Plug In Baby, etc...None of them were smiling and you could have counted them in the thousands...I knew people who wanted to go and couldn't and that made me pretty angry to be honest...But I get that has to be accepted now...We need some kind of test for people to book tickets to Muse shows in future...A timed quiz or something XD

Altogether this set will feature every song performed while at wembley stadium (all songs from the 11th, and the bonus songs of the additional ones performed the night before. Songs from the 10th kindly edited by Agenthal).

I havent watched it through in full yet so what I'll do is burn a test copy to DVD and watch it on the HD tomorrow night with the surround sound to make sure theres nothing I need to adjust in the editing, then I'll author it with the Interactive menus and get it out there for all you lovely people to relive it.

Benit is working on the DVD cover (many thanks to him) so as soon as I recieve that I'll put that up here so when you've got the DVD you can print your own cover art for it.

Thanks for designing a cover, it looks great. I've just finished watching it all through, Im really really pleased with how its turned out. The sound was brilliant, its crowbi wans bootleg upscaled to a 5.1 surround sound mix so if you have a surround sound system then this is a must for it.

Theres not really much more I can say on it as ive edited it myself other than I really enjoyed it and am very pleased with the finished result :happy:

The copys I burnt for myself to watch didnt have the menu as Benit whos making the cover art is working on that too, so as soon as ive recieved the artwork and menu art from Benit then its all done.

Edit: I've heard from Benit now so it shouldnt be long.

DVD Menus are done! This is the main menu edited together from the stadium trailer;

and Benit has forwarded me some brilliant chapter art work for the song selection menu. DVD 2 will feature the additional "bonus features" opition.

DVD cover art will be up tomorrow, so now everythings done... Im going to burn the two fnished dvds, send them to paul at musebootlegs and he will upload them.

Someone mentioned this will be both Blu Ray and DVD. Can you confirm?

Will there be a HD version? If not Blu Ray (is it even possible to burn your own?) or a HD video file?
