SOAD are one great band. I love their music, but i think their first album is the best, toxicity is also good, and the third album was good as well, but not as great as the first too.

I don't know the name, but their latest record is genius! Underneath the Hardcore-Metal-highly political-angry-etc facade, there are some really, ridiculously cool things going on in the music. Like, armenian folk songs and stuff! These songs would be very difficult for your average rock band to cover.

SOAD are brilliant. Saw them at Reading last year, they were great. After SOAD it was 'tallica's turn, and some of the SOAD boys came out and sang along to Metallica's songs, they were great.

Their self titled album is fantastic, one of the best albums i own. It's pure genius. Toxicity i was dissapointed with. There are some good songs but the album as a whole was a complete let down imo.

I was never a massive fan, I'd only heard the singles. But then I heard the, at reading last year. AWESOME! It was one of the best performances I have seen, easily the best out of all the big mainstage bands that year (yes, even Metallica)...

Yeah, they played 3 new songs at the gig I went to. 'Cigaro', 'Holy Mountains' and 'Kill Your Rock 'n' Roll'. Cigaro is mad, Holy Mountains sounds like a more intense and longer version of Aerials, and sorry but I've totally forgotten what the last one sounds like! :LOL:

SYSTEM OF A DOWN have announced a one-off special intimate live show on the 4th April 2005 to showcase new material from Mezmerize / Hypnotize, the forthcoming 2-disc set of which Mezmerize is released on May 16. Tickets for this show at the Astoria are £22.50 and go on sale at 9am on Saturday 12th March 2005.

I thought steal this album was a bit...well...shit...has a few decent songs on it...but I'm hoping that was just a blip, cos they were the songs that DIDN'T go on they're other albums... Just discovered this thread and considering I'm a huge system fan its about time. Gonna see them on 3rd june in london which will be amazing. In the new Q magazine i read today, they got four stars for their gig and it also mentioned that matt bellamy is a huge fan of them. I knew he was but apparently they were also a big influence for him on absolution, interesting. but anyway, my favourite system tracks are probably deer dance, spiders, aerials, suite pee, mr jack, i could keep going. No band mixes heavy metal with melody and feeling more than them

people keep talking about steal this album like it was a real studio album, it wasn't, it was just the stuff that didn't make it on to the other albums. the way the album was presented even gave the impression it was just for completists. There are a few standout moments, innervision should have been on an album and mr jack is part of their live set at the moment. Speaking of mr. jack, if u have itunes music store, go to celebrity playlists and click on daniel bedingfield....dont ask, just do it..

I don't think it has been leaked. I downloaded something that was supposed to be mesmorize, but it was just a collection of b-sides and cigaro. BYOB was't even on it. Still a good download though, I didn't have those b-sides.
