that oughta do it. maybe you could rent a season or two at your local video store...video stores here have Oz.

anyhow, the show is fascinating, it's the best HBO ever had to offer. and HBO is wonderful

however, I started watching it during the 3rd or 4th season, i believe.

Good as ever, nothing special, but it had to be a bit bland so that the audience could be reminded of what went on previously. Should be interesting when Tony's cousin is in it next week. Steve Buscemi could be really good in it and is mean to be from what i've heard.

Shit didn't know he did some of the directing. I always wondered what he did with his time cos he doesn't do a great deal of acting despite his talent.

One thing i've always wondered though is why they change the director per episode. I can understand changing writer. But dunno what a change in director would do. Having said that i've never seen anything wrong with the direction, so if it works it works i suppose.

theo ne where paulie and christopher end up in a forst in the snow chasing a guy was directed by buscemi, apparantly so were others, but i'm not sure which ones...

i never found it strange, guess it's just nice to have a variety of people behind the control of it.

I'm getting Sopranos withdrawal symptoms.

Season 6 is not being shown till 2006 :(

I just found out that Christopher is Carmela's nephew and therefore only Tony's nephew in-law. They never mention that.

These being shown on channel 4 now are the 12, then there are the 6 more to come that haven't been shown yet. They split the series, which was why one or two cast members got a bit thingy about pay. I seem to remember they said that since it wasn't being shown as one series, then it was two - and if it was two, they should have more money. Or something.. I get confused.. *shrug*

First episode of the new season was awesome. Left room for a bunch of potential things to happen over the remaining episodes - gonna be great to see how they tie it up all before the end (as well as to see what doesn't get tied up :p ). :D

Same goes for the second episode. They are setting up for some pretty interesting ends to some storylines. Can't wait to see how it all unfolds. :D

Oh, and it's likely my favourite show on at the moment. Since Dexter isn't on currently. :p

It'll be interesting to see what happens to Chris, especially after the end of the last episode. So many different things could happen with so many different results. Ack, and there's only 7 episodes left. :p

There's only a few more episodes left, and still a TON of loose ends to tie up and/or leave with a proper resolution. There's a hundred different ways that everything could turn out, and I can't wait to see where exactly Tony ends up by the end of it.

If you're talking about the fourth last episode of the series, then yes I saw it. I thought it was great, like most of the episodes thus far.

I like how they're bringing out as much of the bad side of Tony as possible, so as to set up for however the series ends for him, which isn't looking too good at this point.

Oh my god. This season is just too much. When the credits roll at the end of the last episode TV will be offficially dead.

You're right about Tony's bad side, THAT scene was one of the nastiest things we've ever seen him do. And just when I'd finally got that bit from American History X out of my head. The NY-New Jersey tension is simmering nicely and I'm glad Carmine seems to be on Tony's side.

Yeah, I'm liking how things are setting up between the NY and NJ families. It should lead to a hell of a conclusion. I just wish they had made Phil Leotardo's becoming tougher a little more gradual, but it's still been done pretty well.

This last episode may have been the best of the season thus far, and that's saying something.

He didn't disappoint. The way it ended was pretty much perfect given the history of the series.

Just sucks that the show is now over and done with for good. :indiff:

In terms of badasses, I'm still taking Al Swearengen over Tony.

Just started watching season 1 about a week ago. What an incredible show, I'm in love with it already. Between this, The Wire and Breaking Bad, I'm gonna be sorted TV-wise for a WHILE.
