No. :( I'm seeing her sson for V festival though so will definitely have seen them by then! I don't like to think of them lying there in her shared house. Someone could steal them.

Mine went missing on the way to me, so I can't get them until after 6.30pm on the day when I can collect duplicates from the box office :( Dreading the tickets having been nicked not lost, and then sold on eBay, on the way to me and having to turf somebody else out of my seats!

Oh no! That's awful! Can't they put some kind of 'stop' thing on them, like with a stolen credit card or phone? The thought of turning up and someone having used them... :vomit: Are they seated or standing?

That sucks :supersad:

Can't seetickets cancel the initial ones they've sent so they can't be used by someone else? So you are safe when you go and pick up the duplicate.

Seated, so if somebody else is in them, they'll have to leave. I have to take the credit card I used to pay, photo ID and the letter they sent to me with collection instructions to the box office to prove I am me. When it comes to it, it'll be bad luck if anyone has bought them, as I will obviously be the original purchaser, so they will have paid money for nothing.:mad:

I'm hoping they did just get lost, but so much of my post went missing in between me moving in and the other week, when the occupants of both of the only flats in the building I would suspect of theft moved out, that I'm not too sure. At least the dodgy people have gone now though! Means my Liverpool tickets should be safe :D

It was the venue itself that I bought them from (the only bastard website I could get on that day!). I'm all prepared to have to get a steward involved if necessary, but I'm sure it's probably been noted somewhere that there could be a problem.

Glad I got seats now though, as they wouldn't have replaced GA tickets!

this gigs becoming so costly now.
pssht, as backstreet boys are playing the m.e.n the same day, thats effectively costing me £80 for not being in work, plus the £40 for the ticket, and the travell isnt even thought about yet.

How you travelling to Sheffield? Pre-book train tickets? Coach?

It will be worth it though, surely? I know the loss of earnings sounds like a bit of a bummer. I also have a job where a day off costs me a days pay.

its just generally a day out of your own city. plus food and drink amounts to alot. darnit.

it sucks, id like sick/not in work pay. hah
mindjooo i do get holiday pay, but that accumulates, on an extra 10% of wage, and gets given to me in august. so thats gonna be SWEET. yo.

Quick question. I got two standing tickets off ebay and they arrived this morning. Now I'm having second thoughts on how legit they are. Do the Sheffield tickets just look very basic with silver "Sheffield Ticketing Network" at the top?
My tickets also have no correlating ticket numbers on the main ticket and the bit that gets ripped off if you know what I mean. And no bar codes, which is a bit strange. The ticket is also a pale plue with a strip of pale yellow at the top. Please someone tell me theirs are like what mine look like.

Thanks :stunned:

Sounds alright to me, sheffield don't seem to go out of their way to make the tickets look pretty or owt :p
Should look like this:

Damn :( I wish I had standing :( I mean, I'm happy I'm going to the gig, but my friend's dad got standing tickets to Birmingham, and my mum wouldn't let me go. It was a horrible feeling knowing there were some standing tickets with your name on it, but not being able to go to it.

Oh well, at least I'm going to the first gig they're doing of this tour :awesome: And there may be hope. My hairdresser's going to it too, and she has standing but wants seated, so during the interval, I might be allowed to swap with her :awesome:

Okay this is worrying me a bit now, when I rang them they said they usually send out seated tickets later and closer to the date but if some of you have them then that's that theory out of the window. I see a few people who are going to Birmingham haven't received theirs yet also. I might give them another ring tomorrow just to check everything is okay.

Why are you worried? They told you that everything's fine, so get a grip!

We don't have any of our 8 seated tickets for Liverpool yet, and I won't worry til October as that's when they're apparently being sent out.

hey, like I said, you know you have an order that's being processed, relax and let things take their course. You have order tracker, use it. The only time I'd personally get concerned if it told me my tickets had been dispatched and on what date, and I'd not received them a week or so after the dispatch date.

Due to the sheer number of tickets they process, they will probably deal with them in batches, this is why people are getting them at different times. Exactly the same thing happened for Wembley, there was a spread over time of people getting their tickets, and it all came good in the end.

You're worrying over nothing, please trust me. Even if your tickets went missing in transit, there are ways and means of seetickets getting replacements to you. You have a genuine order and funds have cleared from your bank to honour the transaction, you have a confirmation email, everything is on your side :)

See you at the gig!

keep the email, keep the bank statement showing the debit, and if you change bank cards before November, keep the old card as they normally like you to produce the card you used to order the tickets if they go missing.

That's all bases covered for you :D

Yeah, and I need to take photo ID with me too, to prove who I am, as mine HAVE gone missing on the way to me, and I'm really not worried, as I can prove who I am quite easily. In fact, I'm less worried knowing they have gone missing than someone whose tickets haven't even been sent, so can't possibly be missing!

I got a seated ticket in the sale but then managed to buy a standing one from a ScarletMist seller. I've just been to the post office to collect what I think was the ticket - "signed for" delivery - but the envelope looked as if it had already been opened and it was empty :(

I've emailed the ScarletMist seller, asking her if the envelope was the ticket from her and, if it was, to double-check that she put the ticket in before posting. If she did then I'll have to start a lost/stolen claim with the Royal Mail and look for another standing ticket :(

Bollocks.

On your ticket does it say blue door and on another something like green door ?
As far as i know, its layed out as one big area, so therefore none of its separated.

Look on the Sheffield website, then layouts :)

Yesterday, DiS caught up with Muse to discuss their new album but Dom let slip details of the live show for their forthcoming tour...

Speaking to DiS, Dominic Howard, Muse's drummer revealed:

"There's going to be some good video usage. We're going to be on some big moving LED structures, so we're all going to be moving up and down at different levels and actually playing quite high up in the air, which is something we've never done. We're going to be on these floating cubes of video *laughs maniacally*. Individual cubes, all like moving around. They're like massive towers and there's three of them with lots of video."
Dom also said that it won't be the standard stage set-up:

"I think we're going to be doing a few shows where we're going to have fans all around us. Not in the middle of the room but we've designed the stage in a way so that the crowd can fit all around us. Everyone's going to have a great view and get the whole show, even if you're sitting behind us, not just the back of our heads. There's going to be lots of spinning around and stuff like that. It won't be as big as U2's tour of hundred and twenty trucks, I think we'll fit it into about three."
But it sounds like this stage show could have been even more bonkers, with Dom grumbling:

"Most of our ideas get shot down by health and safety and it starts out much more ambitious than it ends up being but we're always trying to push it to the limits of the laws. This time we worked with a lady called Ez Devlin who's designed lots of operatics sets and she's been very great to work with, she's very creative, we bounced a lot of ideas around."
Check back later today for part 1 of our full Muse interview where they reveal how they feel about Teignmouth, touring the USA with U2 and discuss their forthcoming album The Resistance.

Read that today on another thread, sounds OSSUM :awesome:

Hi everyone!

I just got my tickets today. I bought them off ebay (I really tried to use Musebay, but I couldn't find any standing tickets) and wanted to make sure they were legit before I posted feedback. They look the same as in the photo that was posted, except they have PLUS £0.00 BOOKING FEE rather than INCLUDING BOOKING FEE and Tickets rather than SEE Tickets (as well as different doors). I know this sounds like a stupid question but I'm completely naive about this kind of stuff and I don't think I can get my money back once I leave feedback.

Thanks!

Really!? I LOVE standing and hate being seated. I'm forever jumping up and down (though i don't push and shove people). I've only ever been seated once (at a Steereophonics concert) and hated it, i didn't feel apart of it at all.

You can just imagine the look on people's faces seeing the stage and trying to figure out where to go. You would need to examine every angle and figure out where each band member would go.

I also have to direct two other people with me where to stand, i WILL be the leader! :p

EDIT: Then again, if the stage is constantly spinning then no-one needs to worry. lol

Would be nice if I could bunk up, and I would happily stay in the Travelodge; I have the last time I was there seeing the Mighty Boosh live, but the price is stupid for one night! Of course if there was three of us then I would go halves etc.

I'm glad you got your standing ticket sorted :D Shame about the false start initially though

We'll have to come and say hello to everyone who's queueing when we arrive in Sheffield :D I'm not sorry to have a seat at that time of year, it has to be said...I'm far too much of a wuss to stand outdoors all day in November!

Rather off topic here, but can't believe you've not got your box set yet, not like you're in a different country   What have the shop said?

Hope everything's going well adoption-wise...I'll have to get the next instalment in November! :D

There might be a hint of sensible thermal underwear in the Sheffield queue! Then I just have to hope that I can find a way of getting it off once inside without destroying whatever shreds of dignity I have left

I've not heard back from the shop yet - I'll give them a nudge if there's no response by Mon/Tue, and I'll open a missing item query with the Royal Mail.

Adoption matters are going splendidly. Getting the house finished will be the last bit before my application goes up to the Adoption Panel, and I've got quotes for some of the work and people to ring for the rest :)

Well...I reckon you need to spend some time adapting some thermals by adding velcro to them, so they can be whipped off, Full Monty stylee, without removing the outer layer. It'll look great, as well as being functional!

Our box sets came via DHL, so it's them who need berating. Surely they must have some way of tracing the package other than with a tracking number. Or PM Sam Sparrow and get her to send you one of their spares before they all go due to other people having issues! Get in before others :D

Good to hear the adoption's going to plan...I'm excited for you (without the nerves!).
