In Copenhagen he sung as well, although I did see him bend over to riff out before the singing was completed. At the very highest of the falsetto part ( ~3 minutes in in my player) he doubled-over halfway through the singing, and focused on his guitar instead. That's the only place I noticed him not singing, though.

Anyway, it was still brilliant despite all the fuss about the setlists. You've just got to be there really. The sheer energy was just great. The balloons were fun, everybody was just scrambling to get to the to bust them. It was so hot in there, my shirt was wet through. I can't beleive the cheer that Feeling Good got  As soon as he struck up the first notes everyone seemed genuinely pleased they were playing it. I thought people would be dissapointed. But yeah it was amazing, lots of jumping around and moshpits

Glad you enjoyed the gig :D The energy really is the important thing, I think one of the concerns a lot of people have about a stagnant setlist is that the guys will get bored of it, so it's good to hear they're as revved up as ever!

I'm not gonna lie to you, but i was in seating, and the gig was pretty dire. The guys were full of energy as always, but i've seen the same songs too many times now, over and over and over. Exogenesis disappointed and got the quietest cheer of the night. Also the amount of people that sat down during Guiding Light and Feeling Good just shows why they should never be played again. Right... back... well, I've been back a while lol. Just been skimming the thread for shits and giggles :D
As someone posted, I tweeted that it was the best gig ever... not gonna lie, it was, it was absolutely amazing. The crowd around where I was standing (can't talk for anywhere else, didn't see) really got into it, which made me want to get into it even more hah. Matt was all exciteable running around and shouting haha, Dom was talkative... seemed to like Sheffield  Overall the energy in that place was just... great, I've been to a fair few gigs this year (incl. Muse @ Teignmouth) and this was by far the best, by miles even! The new songs sounded way better in an arena setting (they were always going to), and I didn't mind Feeling Good that much... I would've preferred Cave and Unintended but was never going to happen! I've seen Cave at Teignmouth anyway... aside from all of that, I thought he was singing the majority of Exo, but then again, who says I can tell haha. I seem to be skipping Guiding Light when I play The Resistance, however I think it sounds better live. Oh and Helsinki Jam is getting a lot of love from me and my mate! It's aweeeesome.
Stage set up is awesome, visually it's brilliant, and overall I really enjoyed the whole gig - the band, the singing, the music, the crowd, the visual element, it was just really really fun! I was a bit apprehensive about the lack of change with the setlist, and I'd love to see MK played! But alas, this is probably the only time I'll get to see them this tour, and it was my first time seeing them on an Arena Tour, and I most certainly wasn't disappointed.
For those who followed my tweets, ta, I chose the quieter songs to update so it sorta all came at once lol. Oh and about The Big Pink... I guess they're to some peoples tastes and not to others! I thought they were very Nine Inch Nails'ey at points... they weren't the best support I've ever seen, but not the worst by far. Like I said, average. Most people around me couldn't wait for them to get off tho lol...
Righto... sorry if I rambled. :awesome:

I'd put the reason it being dead was down to tem playing 4 or 5 quiet songs so close to each other, everyone seemed to chat amongst themselves when they came on, especially Guiding Light. As you said hough, Plug in baby and KoC were rockin' :D

Amazing night!!
I loved that we the repeat appearence of;
http://board.muse.mu/picture.php?albumid=1409&pictureid=15399 during Uprising  IT made me laugh :D
I was at the front barrier near Chris and was really suprised at how many cheers there were when Feeling Good began :P
One of the main highlights of the evening was when Matt crouched down and pointed at us at the edge of the stage during Unnatrual selection (i think it was..)
and did anyone notice the "batman" effect that Matt did where he stood infront of the big light at the end of the stage. I looked back over to the rear wall of the arena and it looked like the silhouette effect he did at le zenith on the Hullabaloo DVD.
Now to check how the audio recordings come out..
overall, an INCREDIBLE night and hope everyone else enjoyed it too!!

A fantatic show even if it was a little on the short side (although saying that, they did play everything that I hoped for). From the reports I had read, I was expecting something a little different from the new stage set but it was better than I imagined and very well done, very innovative.
I took my young brother and sister with me for their first ever gig and first Muse experience. They absolutely loved it. I had been promising them for a couple of years that I would take them to the next show in our area (I've seen five or six gigs around the world since the promise was made - oops!) but the wait was worth it. I fear though that any other bands' gigs they go to in future will just not match up to what they witnessed tonight.
Well done chaps and thank you for making it such a special night for my siblings.

Thank you Muse for a fantastic gig !!! I think that's the best gig I have ever been to of Muse. I wish some of you would stop being so ungrateful complaining about repeat set lists. Great crowd too. I was one of those really tall ones getting in your way sorry :). I did make it from about 25 back to the barrier though , good work? :) I have also taken home about half of one of the balloons. Great night and the sound balance was spot on. Embarrassed by some of the people I came across who thought they were some kind of anorak having recently listened to stuff like Citizen Erased. Muse have made many albums please don't just turn up having listened to one or two off the Resistance. Anyway some of us old boys shepherd these clueless newcomers to the back where they deserve. Special mention to the stinky tall man with greasy mullet who kept dropping one for us all. Sort yourself out! Wonderful gig

USoE, Starlight, Unnatural Selection, MoTP, Feeling Good, Unintended even Supermassive Black Hole were all amazing. I could go on but I'm essentially giving a list. The gig had all my favourite songs, except Glorious [my #1], so I'm very very happy :)
I loved the bit with the feather filled baloons, and their 'orchestration' for it. And the glowing piano keys. And Matt spinning. And the power slide. Was also funny watching crowd surfers getting thrown over the barrier, though it's a dick move on the arena's part if they didn't get let back in. I liked how there were more moshers in Starlight than Stockholm Syndrome.

ok, so im back and skimmed through the last 70 pages ive missed (yes im sad :p) to see what kinda stuff your all saying.
right, lets clear up this strobe light thing (although nothing i say will make that happen :P)
the big pink had constant strobes, looked very effective to me, but there again it doesnt effect me that way. there were signs on every door saying that strobing will be used in the concert so no rule breaking there...
the big pink imo were good. didnt get much reception from the crowd from what i could tell, but i thought they played well to say its there first night (yeah?) and its most likely to be the biggest place theyve ever played? and did anyone there notice the lead mans muscles? corr blimey :P
ok muse came on at 8.45 ish. supposed to be coming on at half 8, but some technical difficulty (got chatting with one of the security women). im thinking this may have some link with matt and his guitar spending about 5 mins together alone like one song in?! or possibly the fact the lights on his podium were out some times?
in my eyes itwas fab. but saying that, i deliberately did not go to read the setlist, so that was a surprise to me! and also, ive only seen them once before at sheffield 3 years ago, and i was sat at THE back then, so i dont have a lot to compare to.
matt seemed more crowd friendly than dvds and stuff (again, not alot to compare to) and i thought he looked niiiiiice ;) (ok personal opinion there :P)
lasted a long time too, from what i heard it was gonna end up being 20 mins or something, but very good i thought.
couldnt tell you how the crowd reacted, with me only being at the centre barrier at front! so i have no idea what happened behind!
but all i can say, is thank you to all you lovely wankers who ruined my viewing many times by kicking me in the head as you were being dragged down by the security people for crowd surfing. much love to you darlings.
and finally, sorry for the lack of tweets, but as you probably know, front centre barrier takes a lot of hardwork to keep at, so something had to give :P

crowd surfers are dicks, theyre clearly not there for the music are they? just their 15 seconds...
i know what you mean about the strobe lighting, it hurt my eyes alot, but i put that down to being so close... and i can understand that you wouldnt have seen the signs about it, they were on the turnstyle doors, i only saw it cos i was squidged up against one for 15 mins! if you werent there at that point, you would have completely missed it, but im guessing theyre completely within their rights to just do that, its obviously all law abiding, so i doubt theres alot anyone can do about it really, theyd just say its your fault for not reading the sign :/
and yes, thank you for keeping the rabble back ;) xx

well. its all over now. best go find a new thread somewhere to go spam with all my useless crap and waste my time on! xx
Im a strong beleiver in the crowd surfers should be punished by ejection. Or sometimes death. Crowd surfing is stupid, it can cause so many unecessary injurys.
we could see olly on the barrier and it looked like he had constant crowd surfers going over him. i'm glad i wasn't there. very inconsiderate given the pain it causes the people below.

Decent gig, is always good to see Muse.
I liked the Bliss balloon (Plug in Baby balloon now I guess, mourn Bliss) popping game accompanied by music.
The visuals were fantastic.
Didn't like Matt not playing piano on New Born or the end riff being missing from Uprising.
Was nice to hear Nishe.
Matt's sunglasses.
On another note, Sheffield Arena needs to organise the queues better. Would have been better if people could queue in front of the doors to begin with, rather than sending the people at and near the front of the queue to one set of doors, only to then send another set of people, who got there many hours later, to another set of doors, therefore allowing them into the arena building sooner than some who were there much earlier.
Was queuing from about 11am, and only ended up around 4 rows back, but (foolishly on my part) I was in the middle instead of to the side, so ended up having to move, ending up much further back.
Some pictures turned out not too bad:

I had a blast last night, block 219, amazing view, I know people bicker about the set list but I was there to enjoy the night and enjoy the music, which is exactly what I did.
They just get better and better everytime I see them, last time was Wembley Stadium and I left there thinking 'how will they beat that?' and they always managed to up their performance each time.
The only bad point was a drunk man who at the start kept talking to my daughter and her friend, he climed from the row infront to behind where she was, and who made them feel very uncomfertable with his swearing, and then he climbed into the row in front during Stockholm Syndrome and was waving his arms around and really annoying people. Total respect to the lady who I'm assuming told him to pack it in when he'd gone a row infront, and the lady who he was with who calmed him down by sitting on him! He upset my daughter, and she's only 13. Her friend wasn't too happy either.
Anyway, will post pictures later when I get home from work and have more time.
Amazing night :happy::happy::happy:

Awesome concert, one thing that is bugging me now though is, there was one track where Matt stopped singing and let the crowd sing some of the lines, I know he did the usual for Time Is Running Out but it was before that and I can't for the life of me remember which it was.
Feel sorry for those that got hit by any crowd surfers, really don't understand why people do it. Also not sure which parts of the arena that was dead, I was in block 106 and everyone was having a real good time and singing along with some of the songs (specially the aforementioned two).
Thought the setlist was good, nice mix of the old stuff and tracks from resistance.
Still buzzing from the greatness of it all :D

The only partially good thing about GL is you can do some epic cheesy hand movements to the song, especially the first two lines.
/late
Sounds like everyone there last night had a great time, I'm a bit worried about Bellamy not singing much in Exo though.

Haha or you can sit down and have a rest if youre in seating, which is what we did during GL and FG :p
I think Exo should only be played in full cause Part 1 just seems a little lacklustse live (say that after a few! :D)

Yeah i was next to olly and towards the end it got quite bad... I think we missed half of KOC because of surfers being pulled out.

Hi to all europeans fans...
After the beggining of the european gigs, on the french board, nobody is agree on the setlist... And a lot of contradictions too...
There are a lot of post on this threat
So I create a little survey to see what songs fans want to have in live...
Some members of the board think it's a good idea and want to invite the others europeans fans.
You could answer on this link :
http://www.123votez.com/sondages/son...1833_72980.php
20 answers max, and for Hullabaloo in other "autre" : you tick "autres" and enter the name of the song
you tick 20 songs of your choice and click "voter"
Thanks
Mozzie

The thing people have to remember about the whole of Exo not just Part 1 is, there isn't that much vocals anyway. Its a symphony piece mostly, I really enjoyed hearing it and seeing them play it last night, although would love to see them do the whole piece (all parts) with a full orchestra backing, live full orchestra > synth

Absolutely fantastic gig!
They were all so active and played a great setlist that should please old fans and new ones alike (I have been a fan since OoS) :)
The first time I have seen them even though they are my favourite band, phenominal light show as well and great Plug in Baby balloons.
Best songs in my opinion were probably Plug in Baby and Resistance and even Undisclosed Desires that I usually dislike was good :)
It is a pity I was standing causing some disturbances with people bashing through everyone and that Overture was a tad disappointing but a great gig that I won't forget nontheless :)
You could do that too.

Me, B and Josse had a great time despite the megaphone and the predictable setlist... It was a great muser meet up :D

Just got back- absolutely amazing! Hard to pick out my best moments but it was sweet Matt dedicating Starlight to his new niece and the jam whilst they waited for all the hullaballoons to be popped. The balloons came from the back of the arena so it took a while for them to reach the front and get popped. I was in 206 and it looked like everyone on Matt's side of the arena was standing but not so much on Chris' side:wtf: Might be wrong though.
It was my first Muse gig so still reeling from the experience. Even though I knew what the setlist was going to be, still had a blast and can't wait till next Friday :D
Also, don't know if anyone's mentioned it, but on the fashion front it looked like Dom was wearing his shiny t-shirt from America and Matt was wearing a black jacket with big silver cuffs and silver on the bottom at the back.
Olly.

Pretty fun gig. Lots of cock ups... curtain fail, hysteria fail, TIRO fail, Undisclosed Fail, Stockholm Fail... lol But we had bells doing alot of the riffing right in front of us which was cool, even if we did have a tonne of crowd surfers coming over us at the same time

Just hitting wrong notes and undisclosed I think his keytar cut out, stockholm apparently chris' bass cut out.

I dunno about the vocals, he was definately singing them and playing a lot of guitar throughout. It wasn't as good as when I saw it in Berlin, cant really remember it from last night tbh.

Vocally or on the guitar? He's usually pretty spot on vocal wise. Maybe his voice is strained and that's why the Exo vocals aren't fully live???

Wrong notes guitar wise, hysteria solo and I think it was TIRO I can't remember, could have been plug in baby. It just used to be so rare to hear a bum note and pretty much every night they keep popping up. Just shows they're human I guess lol
Oh and start of resistance his guitar wouldnt work so they had to swap guitars to the red glitterati, funny hearing him tune his guitar for new born after.

I couldn't hear any bum notes from where I was. I guess I wasn't really looking out for it, but still - they seemed to cover it up well. His keytar broke too? Oh. Being small, I didn't really see most of this stuff.
And I'm in love with that red glitterati. If only I could play guitar..
Fantastic gig though. Second time seeing them, and this time round it was so much better than the Black Holes tour.
