I agree.
When Jimmy decided to leave SP should have ended for good.
It hurts to say that.

Most had groups line up changes etc. Too many to count. Jimmy was a huge part of their sound. But, it's a new era for the group.

Billy really needs to get a good producer in there. He really seems to have somehow forgotten how to make songs actually sound good, and his vocals are getting particularly badly done (or perhaps his voice is just getting worse, I don't know).

UK TOURRR. 7 dates in November, all O2 academies.
Will be going to Birmingham I hope. I know it's not the same, but I have to see them again to make up for the crap of Nottingham 08 and Billy's hissy-fit.

Yeah I looked everywhere last night, but they were all like £80, though today I tried late rooms.com and got myself a room for £49 at the ETAP. :D So its all booked and sorted, will be my first Pumpkins gig.

The only ones I found available right close to the O2/station were 3 big expensive ones. Didn't want to go too far away from that area as I fear I'd get lost. :p Think there were some others a bit cheaper further away but really not a lot.

I don't fancy going to a hotel too far away either... I hope to find something rather reasonable tomorrow.

I booked my hotel at last! With help from my lovely parents. It's half an hour walk away according to google but about 10 minute taxi ride so I'll probably just get a taxi. Best of all it was only £50 better than spending like £120 odd haha. But i'm safe!!!
I hope to meet Billy :awesome:...

Anyone interested in a SP meetup for Birmingham?
Saw them in Paris on Wed and it was a brilliant gig. If the UK gigs are the same make sure that you were comfy shoes if you are standing as they played for almost 2.5 hours!
Will post some photos and videos later.

Yep, gig started at about 9.15pm and we left at about 11.30pm, plus there is minimum faffing about in between songs and plenty of extended outros and riffs :awesome:

Sounds amazing :D
Although looking at past setlists they haven't been playing some of the classics but they've been finishing with my two favourite songs so I'll let them off.

There are not playing a lot of the classics and greatest hits but I can confirm that 'Zero' sounds immense live!
1st video uploaded, you can watch it in HD for the best quality.

Haha, looks like I should have checked the setlists beforehand, then I'd have been well chuffed with Tonight, Tonight!
Oh well, I was worried they wouldn't play Zero because of the special guests, but they did, and pretty much every older track was fucking awesome :awesome:

I saw them last year at Terminal 5. It was a really good show. I know some people aren't fond of the new stuff, but I really like it. It is different from their old stuff, but it isn't too bad.
Finally uploaded my pictures from the gig:

I found their new stuff to be a mixed bag. Some of it wasn't unpleasant, and I'd probably like it if I listened to it more, but some was horribly unimaginative imo. By my reckoning, they played 2 too many new songs at the gig last night.

Bit late updating on this, but I went to the Birmingham gig last weekend and it was immense, my first time to see the Pumpkins live and hopefully not the last. They also played my favourite SP song, Tonight, Tonight, which I managed to record while jumping manically. :D

I decided to give Mellon Collie a spin after quite a bit of time away from it / the pumpkins in general (Just haven't been in the mood for them). Just as brilliant as I remember it being :D. It's a shame, though, that the setlists currently are so new-song-focused, or i'd want to see them.

It's only about 6/21 new songs I think. It's just they're not playing many hits. Great show though, new stuff sounds good.

Yea this tour is much different from last year's tour. They played about the same mix of new and old songs, but they had played all the hits.
I guess this year Billy is trying to appease the hardcore fans who want to hear the under-rated stuff.
