actually the nicest band I have ever met...(not that I've met that many!)
barry and ross were so lovely and friendly... and I LOVE barry's dancing - it's as if his legs are independent of his body!
their stage banter is so much fun - added to the fact that musically they are very tight = fab live.
great blokes.
great album.
great live show.
just great.

I downloaded the album. Quite good.
quite good?
when someone has such a rubbish opinion as that, it usually means they got the album, listened once, weren't to keen but still thought they'd let it be known they know who they are. for some kind of 'cred'
;)

Bump!
It took the new album a few listens for it to grow on me, but boy did it ever grow on me. It's fantastic! And after missing them the only other time they came round, I finally saw them last night and they were definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen by far. They're so energetic and expressive. And so sweet too.

I like the recent album too. Think my favourite song is 'Burnt', as it has a bassline which is very similar in feel to Joy Division.

Beginning of the twist is an immense tune. Decent days and nights and Hounds of love were good songs too, but the first album was a disappointment on the whole. Don't remember the second album, but if the new song is a sign of things to come, the new one should be good.
They're on an indie label now too aren't they? Which can only be a good thing.

YES!! They played Area! And the only song they played off the second album was 'Skip To The End', which is one of the only good songs from News And Tributes.
From what I remember:
Decent Days And Nights
Broke Up The Time (new song which is AMAZING - you could download it from their mailing list)
Area (that I did some clapping bit in and Ross laughed and talked about me afterwards!!!)
Stupid And Shallow
The Beginning Of The Twist (new single - AMAZING!)
Carnival Kids (!!!!!!)
Hounds Of Love
Hard To Bear (new song)
Two other new ones
Piece Of Crap (encore!!!!)
Meantime
A To B
He Knows
Man Ray
They really were incredible. It's the fifth time I've seen them, now!

Maybe I don't go to enough smaller gigs but, when they ended their set at Indigo2, it was the first time I'd seen a band member hand over a set list to someone in the crowd rather than being handed over by a person who was clearing up.

That's a real shame the sound wasn't good, I found them to be great. I saw them in a tiny club in Kingston bout a year and a half ago.
I've seen them a few times, mainly because OP supported so I could get guestlist. But they do put on a good show and have some decent singalongs.
