Last night I flicked Channel 4 on and caught the ending of The Sunday Night Project where Lily Allen was performing, and I noticed that the bassist looked very like Morgan.

Yes. He's a session musician and is obviously forming part of Lily Allen's backing band whilst Muse are off the road.

well i was watching lily allen perform last week on the australian version of 'So you think you can dance' and i swear it was morgan playing the bass. Well now i have confirmation from a radio interview lily did with a local radio station

When Lily Allen wandered in to triple j during her recent promo tour she reported what went down when she performed on the Australian tv show So You Think You Can Dance.
"When I walked in it was like being at a really big children's birthday party. There were people there with their faces painted and I was like - what is going on? What am I doing here? I'll just do it, just get my head down. But the worst bit was my band who are all really cool, like half my band plays with Muse the other half play with The Streets, they've never had to do anything like that in their lives. I'm like oh my gosh, my band is so embarrassed to be with me right now."
The performance involved a couple of dancers covered in balloons circling Lily as she sang.
JUST morgan plays with Muse, and he's also played with The Streets. And I don't think Morgan accounts for "half the band". Needs to get her facts straight! haha
However, that performance is awesome!

Just imagine them backstage!! haha
