I have no teachers, altough if I did I'm sure they would like muse. It just makes sense.

There's this one teacher that a friend of mine studies Media and Radio with and he's into Muse and other bands of the style... Once my friend told him there was a Muse vs. Radiohead hour on M2 he was like "What?! Why didn't you tell me??"
He's cool :D

Is his name Peter Halford? hehehe. I went to school at South Thames for a while in London. I had a physics teacher named Peter Halford who was a huge radiohead fan. He had a listen to the Origin of Symmetry album and loved Muse from that point on. His lab assistant Ian actually knew Matt. Ian was in a band at some point and played a show with Muse when they weren't big at all--in exeter I think.
Alas, I moved back to San Diego long ago, so I know not what happened of Peter or Ian.

The weird paedophile drug addict PE teacher at my school owns Hullabaloo. Even stranger is that the entire History Department visited Decadence (a dance club) the other day [they're all under 35, which is odd]

My English teacher hates them, she says their music doesn't have any meaning to it.. WTF? I argued back and she gave me detention for the whole Friday afternoon. I swear I could bash her ugly face into a wall. :p On better news: most of my familyt are fans. :D

Lol :D I bet she still thinks it's crap but just admits to liking it to stop you from bombarding her with more music. My teachers are too hard to convert, I think I'm the only one in my country who seriously likes Muse's music... erm, i feel like an outcast :D

Well, we are allowed a cd on in history occasionally and last week we listened to OOS... because the teacher asked if anyone had a cd, and 4 of us were like "WE HAVE ONE!!!!" haha, so although the rest of the class groaned we had that on...
My history teacher also asked me who was on my homework diary (it's Muse of course) and she said Matt is very ladylike

my maths teacher (a young one at 24) saw my diary, incidentally covered in pictures of all these bands and she inquired about them and i told her. plus, a week before they were on rage i got worked up in class and she asked what it was about and i told her to watch it and she did. i also listen to my md in class and she asks what music i'm listening to and then demands that i put it away.
well, she talks about her bf in class so it's not a very mathsy class, some may say/.

As they are still unknown here to those who don't listen to certain radio stations, my english teacher had never heard of them.
I think it was the day I found out that it was confirmed that Curiosa was coming to Toronto, and I was freaking out, and my english teacher asked why, and I told him about muse, and played him Coma. He realllly liked it, which is good. He's the most cynical person I know, but then again, I do believe he's a queen fan, also :)

My old physics teacher is a big fan. Placebo too. He's a bit of a legend. Although we rather drunkenly met him in the wetherspoons in town a couple of weeks ago and ended up trying to persuade him to come clubbing with us (just about the entire school was in love with him). when my biology teacher was at uni in exeter, he drummed for muse in one of their gigs before they were signed.
didn't know if i should have believe him at first, but.. i dunno why he would bother lying about something like that.

so i started to believe him a bit more...

To tell you the truth if there is only one teacher in my school who even knows who MUSE are it would be a great success!Sometimes I think teachers only care about what they teach. We discuss drugs, alchohol and stuff like that but we never talk about music, books or movies.

It isn't talked about. We just play it while they work in certain lessons. 8 and 9 year-olds appreciate a surprising variety of music and need to be molded at an early age to love the good stuff. My class also like Dream Theater and Foo Fighters.

I am a teacher and I love Muse. Whenever possible I play Muse to the children, tidy-up time, fruit and milk etc. They have to be converted at an early age remember we are competing with Mcfly, MCR and crap like that. First time I played Muse to them this year (citizen erased) they begged for James Blunt. So you see some of us teachers feel we have a mission to eradicate mediocre music from young children's minds forget the three r's.:p

YES. That still happens nowadays. I was sitting in RE and all the "chavs" brought in a CD and the teacher let them put it on, because I didn't like it they started calling me "emo" and "greb," lol..

the day of the Glasgow gig, my friend was at a rehearsal for a school show after school, but she had to leave early to come and get ready for the gig at my house. so she said to mr thompson, 'eh i need to leave early'. mr t: 'why?'. my friend: 'im going to a concert'. mr t: 'well if its a good concert i'll let you go'. my friend: 'eh its muse'. mr t: 'then for the love of god get out of here! run!'
apparently he likes them...

A receptionist at my school noticed me wearing a Muse t-shirt in yr8 years ago and ever since then we've swapped notes on concerts and new albums
Also, one of the music staff went to school with them, and was a close friend of Helen Kirk. But naturally I haven't really wanted to ask her so much about that; she's mentioned it a few times, first when I said I was going to see them at Wembley and she told me that they'd dedicated the album to her friend. I already knew quite a bit about it so managed not to be insensitive (a feat for me)... Still. Small world.

I think my old italian teach Mr latrano likes them, although i'm not sure. i actually can thank him for getting me hooked on the band. one day in class, in 2004, he put on a videotape of the MTV Erope awards, which was in italy that year. when the award for best alternative act came on, i was hoping for Franz Ferdinand to win, but Muse took home the award. A week later, i was in an FYE (for those of u who don't know, its a big record store chain) and saw a copy of Absolution sitting on a self infront of me. I picked it up, and thought, "hey, if they won an award, they must be good." I bought the CD, and spent the next 2 days listening to it repeatedly.
anyway, as i was saying, i think my italinan teahcer might like them, because he likes radiohead, and he was saying while we were watching the awards show that Muse was a good band.

I have had fun making some kids in my classes jealous about having seen them live (when they got over the shock that yes!! I don't know if any of our teachers are into Muse, I should ask actually, there are a few I suspect. We have a Geordie teacher (who is scary! looks like a wrestler lol) but he's really into music and offered to burn me the Ramones anthology, I should ask him. And my friend's dad said "that was beautiful" after I played Sunburn on her keyboard
But then he deleted all the Muse songs I'd given her off his computer :stunned::mad:

Back when I was at school, my old teacher used to love Muse. Almost as much as me. We both liked football teams in the same league (at the time) too so we always used to talk about either Muse or Wycombe. He admitted that my grades probably suffered a little because of that :P

Today in Ceramics as I was carving the Muse logo into a Muse mug I was making, my ceramics teacher comes up and says "Oh, you like Muse?" and I was like "oh yeah, they're my favorite" and he's like "yeah they're good. I like their first album, the one with the girl on the front." I was just like :stunned:. And we had a little mini discussion about Showbiz, but unfortunately he doesn't like the other Muse albums as much. But yeah, I was so surprised.

My Irish teacher loves Muse! My friend gave me a Muse calendar for Christmas and it wouldn't fit in my locker so I was walking around with it (not that I minded much :chuckle:). My teacher saw it in class and said ''Ah, a girl in this school with a good taste in music!'' And I went ''ZOMG, you like Muse?!'' She said ''Love them. My favourite song is either Bliss or New Born.'' :yesey:

ummm my English teacher last year said she has them on her computer (which she used heaps in class) but she never put on any music... until when we were doing poetry and song lyrics and stuff she made us listen to O.K Computer by Radiohead which I must say is the weirdest stuff I've ever heard. and the only other RH song i've heard sounded like pots and pans getting banged together so I don't wanna go near their stuff.
My guitar teacher last year let me learn whatever I wanted, I had him teach me like 4 muse songs in a row, he'd have difficulty working it out and after he finished I'd just go find a better tab on the internet. But he did comment that he thought the guitarist was good, I don't think he knows that he sings at the same time..:erm:
other than that.. not that I know of...

One time I had this substitute with a weird accent (he said his dad was from England). And he saw that I was reading 1984 so then we got into a conversation about that and I asked him about Muse and he said that he liked them! He also talked a lot about conspiracy theories which made him even cooler!

I sort of introduced Muse to my English teacher. She told us to pick a favorite quote and I picked "Best you've got to be the best...etc" from Butterflies and Hurricanes, and when I read it out loud she was interested and the next day she said she fell in love with the song.
My old band teacher thinks they stole Radiohead's image. BS. :stunned: He knows nothing about them, he thinks their most famous album is Showbiz. Hence why he thinks they stole RH's image. Dumbass.
