Anyway My Chemical Romance rocked even though i nearly lost my shoe got head butted and sweated like a beast it was brill!! Taking Back Sunday rocked too, some dudes were singing to each other and moshing and one threw up it stunk horrible! Me and my friend were dancing inbetween to Back in Black people gave us dirty looks :indiff: maybe we should have moshed :confused: oh well i know how to boogie

so during the first song, i made my way to the front...but i wish there would have been barriers... cause my knees got crushed to the edge of the stage so badly, it felt as if i'd break in two...

so i had no other choice i had to join the others who were already sitting ON the stage...in front of the band

but it was great there!!!

Keeping with the thread though, I wasn't all that impressed with the MCR gig in Manchester the other week :( I'm not sure why, I actually enjoyed them more when they supported TBS.
AND they had better merch at that gig to say they were only a support band.

i like them, and have both albums, but i don't like how they are using their image to sell more and more records.

the whole make up thing is really beginning to grind, and how theatrical and pretentious they've become (Helena vid). most bands can't seem to let their music do the talking anymore, it's always the same. MCR were like that, until the release of theee cheers. i think fame has gone to their head just a bit. it seems that bands have to have an image to sell records these days (i know image sells to the naive, but why do they have to exploit it all the time). the music is on the back burner then, and all people seem to remember of these guys, is for how 'hot' Gerard is, and the clothes and make up they wear.

the new album is great, and quite different to the last offering. they always create some great songs, and the new album is a big step up and much better than the first i think. i think my favourite song would be You Know What They Do To Us Guys Like us in Prison. i haven't seen them live yet, but i heard they put on a good show. i'll go watch them for abit at Reading i think.

They sound to 'produced' if you know what I mean... ?

Its like they used to sound a bit more rougher and more enthusiastic but then the record company took a big bit of sandpaper and smoothed all the edges down to make the music sound dull.
To me its a bit like the music on Green Day's new album...*gets ready for face to be caved in by Green Day fans* they used to sound great and i love their old stuff but then they slobbered at the sight of millions and made the music crap..
It all sounds very fake. And thats why they can't play good live, because if they play how as a band they want to they won't sound like the album and fans will drop..

It seems MCR are one of those bands you either love or hate. I personally love them. I've seen them live 3 times, 4 in November, and I think they have great stage presence. I like their songs... I like them...

Their videos aren't much to go on because they are so shite. And back to their
first album...there were always little scenesters but the majority had been 18-22
year olds...but I went to one of their shows last November and I felt like I was

On another forum I was on, it's basically all 14-18 yr olds who like them, and from what I saw of them on Kerrang at Download...they need a lot of improvment on their live act!
