For me lately it has to be fury just adore the beginning riff
And can't get enough of the "please let me get what i want" cover too.
Also map of the problematique I sometimes used to skip this just due to it's more electronic sound but this sound is outstanding IMHO

this has happened to me heaps, there are heaps of muse songs which i used to always skip or never really gave it a chance to even hear the whole song, then fell in love with it when i finally listened to it!

probs happened most with:

citizen erased - at first i hated the guitar harmonic riff at the start so never even got past that section, but then i did and there's so much more to the song. i absolutely LOVE the chords that start at 1:28 ("for one moment") they make me so fucking happy :) :D :P plus i also love the intro riff now too!

micro cuts - i always liked the intro guitar riff but i didnt like it when matt's falsetto got all super high and opera sounding, it sounded creepy and yeh i skipped it, but after watching the Hullabaloo DVD i 'aquired' the taste, and love it now!

assassin - at first i didnt like the guitar intro and never listened past that, but once again the first time i decided 'ok i will just listen to the whole thing and see wat happens' i actually loved it and can't stop listening to it! that riff i hated at first is so damn funky with the syncopation further in the song!!!

sorta opposite of question this time, one song which i don't like but since i wanna love all muse songs, i would like to suddenly discover its brilliance and be able to love, is con-science... i have tried to like it, but i dunno it just sounds creepy haha, does anyone here like con-science?

Probably the most neglected Muse album in my library.....

 I'm neglecting Showbiz, coming back to it when it might seem more epic.

Hoodoo, although I might have posted this somewhere on here already. I don't feel like going and checking. Then Screenager, because I had it stuck in my head one day. Blackout too, especially after I figured out the piano (alright strings, but if you put the proper effect on it, it can be on piano) part was easy and so was the guitar (except I can't tremolo pick it...if that is indeed what it's called). :D

Rediscovered or discovered? Because I've discovered an awful lot lately.

Darkshines. I used to skip it all the time and now it's loved.

Dead Star. I didn't want to listen to the live version on Hullabaloo, but then I saw the video for it, and it made me love the real version. Plus the Christmas present this year.

Ruled by Secrecy. I never really stopped liking it, but I didn't feel like listening to it because I had kind of overplayed it to a point where it was nothing special anymore (kind of like KoC if you overdo it). But it's beautiful again.

Hyper Chondriac Music. Wow. I'm so in love with this song right now, it's one of their best releases and I'm SO glad that I didn't have to go searching for it. It makes me so happy.

I'm not sure if this completely stays within the confines of the thread topic question, but maybe kinda sorta, and plus I wanted to share anyways...

I wouldn't necessarily say I've rediscovered it, more heard it sung differently than on the album. I never disliked Screenager but it was by no means a favorite of mine; just "a good song" on their album. But after getting Hullabaloo I sort of fell in love with it. Well, that version at least. But it does make me appreciate the album version better although I still think the Le Zenith show is far superior.

in the 3 years since this band found me, im still finding badass songs. they really make it hard for us not to like a song
ive read that this has happened to other people, including me - leaving an ipod/stereo on and waking up to the hectic drums in blackout after not liking the slow beginning. nowadays i pump it up in my car
i also remember liking soldier's poem after a while aswell. oh and cave, especially the extra bit at the end

Hoodoo

I had to get a comment in about this song somewhere because so many seem to be dismissive of it but it's actually really powerful, the lyrics are heart-breaking. At first I was pretty confused by it, but an interpretation has come to me, possibly an unintended one, but nevertheless it makes it meaningful to me, and it's incredibly sad. :(

It seems to me to be representative of that idea that if you can't be with someone you love, you dream about ending your life with them, rather than be apart. Not saying you would if push came to shove but you might dream of it.:( The creating of a different reality being all about thinking about what life would have been if it had taken a different course and you had ended up with this person.

"I will take the blow for you" - the blow from a train - shit!

Hoodoo

I had to get a comment in about this song somewhere because so many seem to be dismissive of it but it's actually really powerful, the lyrics are heart-breaking. Mmmm, absolutely. I find Hoodoo has possibly the best lyrics in any Muse song, and they're definitely that song's strongest aspect. Gorgeous.

City of Delusion! I skipped it a lot for a while before listening to it one day and going "Why don't I listen to this more? It's absurdly epic!" I don't know, I seemed to have little patience with it for some reason.

Sunburn: I love it nearly as much as Citizen Erased.

I can't explain why I like it so much. The piano, the bass, the arrangement - it's all just perfect. The passionate chorus. I love it.

Falling with You...

I have just introduced my friend into the crazy world of Muse and being a bit of a love nut she claimed this to be one of her favourites. It really is a beautiful piece of music!
