I was never really fond of TiRo. In fact, I thought it was overrated and rubbish.

The instrumental version shed it in a new light for me. The bassline is quite catchy, after all. Took me 5 years to realise though.

Still an average song. The second verse is superb, especially live and the bass intro is cool but the rest of the song is rather boring.

21-06-2008, 04:17 PM
Well I go through phases of this, and then end up relaxing certain songs and discovering the epicness of other ones, and so becomes a cycle through different Muse songs, at the moment probably Muscle Museum and Apocalypse Please especially and perhaps, Sing For Absolution but that has always been one of my favs, but all Muse songs are epic

dont you just shiver when he sings "wash me away, clean you body of me..." in citizen erazed on the hullabaloo live cd? gave me goosbumps.

 That's one thing that just never crossed my mind when listening to that song.

I just played Darkshines with the volume up in my car today and found a new appreciation for the way Matt sings it. It shows his range of singing soft and loud in the same song. I never really paid as much attention to the quieter part before.

On that note, does anyone know of any high quality .mp3s of any live performances of Bliss Extended? I'd love any version that has a riff like that one but I can never find one :(

Stockholm Syndrome. When I first got into Muse, SS was my favorite song (or one of them). I only had Absolution and listened to it constantly, until I discovered all their other amazing albums, and I got sick of SS. Just recently though I watched the music video for it (american version) and remembered how awesome it is.

Same for TiRO. That was the first song by them I've ever heard. So naturally the one I listened to most when I first started to like them.

Also Falling Away With You.

Pretty much the entire Absolution CD, really.

I also recently discovered(for the first time) the awesomeness of Hoodoo. I always skipped it at first but now I love it.

I actually made a playlist of all my 'reject' muse songs and forced myself to listen to them- Screenager, Hoodoo, Ruled by Secrecy, Soldier's Poem, and a few others were on there. I like all of them now (though admittedly I'm still not totally crazy about RBS)

It really is important to force oneself to listen to the songs that they didn't "click" with right away. Probably a lot of gems there to be discovered. The same thing happened for me with Queen II.

Um, more currently...
Knights of Cydonia has never really been a favorite favorite of mine [[ yes, theres supposed to be two favorites ]].
Reason for that is just because it's EVERYONES favorite. And here in the US, if someone knows any muse song, its KoC. So, Me liking Muse being my own little secret band - isn't a big fan of that so I dare to be different XD
But, the more I listened to it, it is an amzing song [thats obvious] but i still think that there are better songs from Muse other than KoC.
