This is weird...I'm at the point where I can't rediscover how awesome a song is because I've listened to everything so many times that I'm struggling to improve on them. I'll use the new album as an excuse to listen to the rest of the albums a few dozens times through in preparation though!

I haven't listened to it for a while and today I put my song on shuffle and... awwww. Definitely too long not listening to it. Now I can't stop. Today this is the most awesome and brilliant and touching song Muse have ever made.
By the way: I really love those those breaks I take... I mean I don't like taking them but I love coming back to Muse's songs after longer break (e.g. when I'm listening to another artist or sth). You know what I mean? When you don't think about them for some time and then they come and you suddenly realise how awesome they are, how much they mean to you how their music touches you and how old songs can become brand new in sound and meaning... This so weird - you knew that they are brilliant and unusual, but somehow you forgot and then... the moment of realisation is just... you DO understand, right? This is part of being a Muser, isn't it?

I love escape. It's my favourite showbiz song and I think it is really underrated (chris thinks so too according to some interview). I agree that all the emotion is powerful and how it's probably the most simple of all muse songs in terms of knowing exactly what Matt is singing about (talking to his father at the time of his parents divorce) its fun to sing :)

That was me for two years now  It was because I kind of OD'd on them, with the 5 gigs a tour and the fandom drama with the set lists (and being pissed off myself with that too). Now with the new album and tour announcement I find myself drawn back to them at a greater force. I've been lately appreciating Unnatural Selection, for example.
Happy to see (newfound) appreciation for City of Delusion here. I'm always perplexed to see it lumped as a filler track of BH&R (among with Exo-Politics, which I've also always loved).

I listened to BH&R in its entirety today, after a long break, and found myself liking Starlight! I mean, the catchy intro! The "our hopes and expectations" part which I've always liked anyway! Even the chorus is kind of pretty!

Two songs- Screenager and Falling Down. I think with Screenager I was always a bit put off by the title (which sounds odd and a bit try-hard) and didn't pay much attention to it for a long time, but I listened to it again (and again and again...) and realized just how beautiful it is. It's the Muse song I get the most Radiohead vibes from, though.
I just love the simplicity of Falling Down. I mean, I love the typical Muse OTT theatrics and but this song is a really nice counterbalance. It's rough and "organic" on Muse standards, and I think there's real raw emotion in Matt's voice.

I like how you can correctly spell Megalomania but not Hoodoo.:p
I think it's a great cover, why do you think they spoiled it?
A big part of it is the association with "great, this song taking up gig time from Muse's own songs".I might like the cover if it wasn't played so often.
Another part is that I think the song works better with the original 60's production(s), and while I generally do like Matt's voice, I think a RnB/soul voice works better for it.
Funny thing is that the megaphone originally did add something to the song and arguably is the most "interesting" part of the Muse cover, now its appearance induces a "noooo..."

This has no sense, you know that?
Sure it does.
You can get annoyed at a song for reasons that have nothing(/much) to do with the song itself. Radio overplaying a song is a good example. You can love a song and by the time you hear it six times a day for two months you start hating it. You can start hating a song because it was playing in the background when your SO dumped you. And so on.
I associate FG with all the drama that was going down with last tour's set list, and my own annoyance of it taking up space from songs I'd want to hear get played. It's quite simple, really.

Awww. This is the song my mum and her sister loved. They both weren't really fond of Muse but when they heard this song they changed their mind completely. I'll never forget when my mum's sister told me with tears in her eyes "My God, I was so sure that he would sing out of tune at some point! But he didn't. NOT ONCE! It was beautiful".
