One of my friends, a big Beatles fan, just saw that and said it was shit. :(
I want to see it, but I'm nervous. If any of the songs are completely butchered I'll be very upset... Hmmm curiousity will probably win out though.

Looks to be that an American girl and a British boy fall in love during the revolution.. haha, I dunno, but its set to The Beatles I thinks...looks good to me.

I am very hesitant to see this one.... I've heard good and bad things, but the trailer looks like it can't be very good.

I'll just stick to listening to David Bowie's version of the song. It's fun.

I saw it for free so paying for it wasnt an issue I had to worry about. But any how I thought it was quite good and be and my girlfriend were surprised and delighted when we saw that Eddie Izzard was in it. Though to be honest I had no clue what was going on at that point.

Random info alert: Just read an interview with Geoffrey Rush at the Toronto International Fil fest, he said he loved this movie, as well as Eastern Promises by David Cronenberg.

That is all. :$ *runs off*

I second that, and I'm a huge Beatles fan.

I hate movies made with the only excuse of using a soundtrack of famous iconic songs, but with a shitty storyline.
Does Moulin Rouge ring a bell?

i kinda liked it :(

* gets defensive *

i mean, some of the solo love song stuff was a bit cringey, because i always hate that. but c'mon. across the universe spliced with helter skelter ? that was kinda cool. and the military bit.

iunno, i'm a sucker for good choreography :$

I loved it. And the whole "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" sequence was fucking brilliant. And scary.

I thought it was great :happy: Sure the plotline was all fucked up, but it wasn't supposed to be good :LOL: The whole point was the music. I think my favorite was Strawberry Fields Forever, the colors were so pretty :eek:

INORITE? Though I think my favorite bit is the very opening. Just the way the shot closes in on him, and then he opens his mouth and sings. I was just immediately captivated--and smitten. :happy:
