No-one's replied to praise this wonderful band?

Shocking.

I saw them lower down the bill at a TCTC gig in 2002.

They were brilliant. Barking, but brilliant.

Going to see them at Newcastle Uni.

Heard their album but not listened properly but their live gigs are meant to be fantastic, with model animals hanging from the stage for some reason.

Yeah, their live show is strange to say the least. Think WW2 type costumes + camoflage. Plus large drums and one of the guys simulating "shell shock", personally i thought he was pilled up to the eyeballs but hey..

Saw them live some time ago, it was the best concert of this year so far... before I saw Kraftwerk last Saturday. Really, BSP are great. The song they did with EOST (a czech band), a Lovely Day Tomorrow, is great too.

wow. . ther is a thread on this band!

they're really great! the album is fantastic. . I saw them at the Birmingham Academy about a month or two back, they got upgraded from BA2 to the full size, it was a fab gig, this guy with a war hat gonigaround with a big drum, he came into the crowd right by us!

we got some limited edition singles.

it was nice just to be able to stand and listen for once without fighting for survival :)

I noticed they're coming to Newcastle Uni again - it wasn't listed on any website but they're selling tickets at the uni. Normally, I'd just buy the tickets, but the date is right in the middle of my exam period...I'm not totally sure about it now. 3rd year exam vs a good live band I've seen before....tough one

I've been listening to the album for weeks and it's just so beautiful and elegant, HWIEFMYH? is a delightful piece, it'd make a catchy single.

True Adventures
Down On The Ground

Max

I saw them at the Bloomsbury Ballroom on Friday night. Quite a sluggish start to be honest but around Canvey Island/No Lucifer it picked up a gear.

Setlist:

Lights Out For Darker Skies
Apologies To Insect Life
Atom
Pyrex
Canvey Island
Down On The Ground
No Lucifer
True Adventures
Remember Me
Favours In The Beetroot Fields
Please Stand Up
RNF
Waving Flags
The Great Skua
Fear Of Drowning
The Spirit Of St. Louis
Carrion

The new songs weren't too different from Do You Like Rock Music? and it seems like a natural evolution from that. Then again, since they only played two new songs it's hard to tell anything about its overall sound.

And TRUE ADVENTURES! I wasn't expecting that at all and that made my night.

James.

Do You Like Rock Music? Is a pretty damn good album.

This was their setlist from Leicester:

Apologies To Insect Life
No Lucifer

They were certainly a lot of fun at the Leicester gig, since it was Halloween.

Can't see it very well here but some of the foliage was actually attached to Yan.

Valhalla Dancehall is a really good album.
'Who's In Control' is my favourite track but the whole album is fantastic.
