Hey, Which RATM album do you recommend for a first time listener?
I borrowed Evil Empire, thought it was alright, but I'll give it another listen in a couple of days and see.

Anyway, wondering if anyone can suggest good songs/albums of theirs to try?

This band is comprised of legends. Their style of music has influenced a lot in the music world (ex. Morello's playing to Bellamy's).
Their song 'Know Your Enemy' is a wonderful one, and has a lot of different styles incorporated. Simply brilliant.

But question: Don't they seem kind of sorta hypocritical?
I mean, they preach peace but yet they have lyrics about people like the president being shot.
And they're strict anti-capitalists, yet they charged ridiculous amounts for the reunion shows, and use capitalism to get their word out.

mate reunion gigs are always expensive

if am correct a Verve gig 10 years ago would cost 20 pound but i heard that their reunion gig was about 80

How'd you get tickets? (only buy one on livenation.com?) I thought maybe there would be a loophole in the system, so I tried getting two tickets on monday morning, 2 tickets showed up for me, I then put in my credit card info, and I hit submit, but it knew and I was restricted. UGH!!! If you happen to have an extra ticket or know of anybody that has one and you need someone to go with, let me know.

Yeah, Zach had an interview with a South American magazine late last year where he said they're working on new material for possible release in "northern hemisphere summer". I don't know how reliable/achieveable that is, it doesn't seem very far away, but atleast there's intent :awesome:
