Known about them for ages, only really started getting into them when I heard Ventolin today, and that was industrial-tastic
Anyone like?

They ?.. It's one guy ..Richard James..
Yeah.
It's just a habit of mine, basically Nine inch nails is one person, but I refer to them as 'they' all the time though

Probably now one of my favourite artists, he is a fucking genius. The drum loops and samples are out of this world. Sheer quality.

The double album which is called Selected Ambient Works (Vol 2, i think), is so lovely and sometimes really unsettling. Of course, I like Come To Daddy and Windowlicker but havent heard anything else.

In my humble opinion I think Aphex Twin should remix Muse.
I've always loved Aphex for his own original sound, Come to Daddy, Donkey Rhubarb, IZ US, et al, the dark nasty, toy soldiers coming to life kinda sound which can easily be transposed onto any horror movie, or Clive Barker Book.
But I just bought '26 mixes for cash' (Slack I know, considering how long it's been out), and well slap my arse and call me Mary, Aphex Twins remixes are some of the best fucking sounds I've ever heard!
His remix of 'David Bowie - Heroes' has now taken it's place in my top 10 songs, I didn't think anything could improve on the original but it did (for me).
So, now I reckon we should let Aphex Twin get his hands on some select Muse tracks, Small Print maybe? Or HyperMusic... or even Citizen Erased.
I want to hear what Aphex Twin can do with one of the best bands to ever come out of England.

The post is about remixing Muse....
That link your great search result goes to is just some bloke saying he likes Aphex because he heard one of his songs...
... what is there not enough space left on the boards for two posts with the name Aphex in their titles??
What about the 1,000's of posters who post innane shit like "I love Muse!" or "I think Muse are great" do you direct them to use the search function aswell??

Rules schumles... Old threads die and end up on page 314, while the newer (and in most cases more interesting) threads stay in view until people get sick of them... There's no rules my friend, but simply the circle of life...

MrGlitch makes a decent point... This thread is actually uses an original idea for once, unlike so many other crappy threads out there...
Hmm, a bit more on topic, I agree that Aphex should remix a Muse song... It would be very ... interesting ...
I would also like to see Trent Reznor remix a Muse song... He did a great job remix Freak On A Leash (Korn) and Judith (A Perfect Circle) ... Hmm *ponders*

Oh dear god no. Those two should not be mixed.
But he did do a great job on Judith. And Killing Joke's Democracy.

you heard '26 Remixes for Cash' ?
the album is amazing, but the story about how it was made is really funny. was just reading up on him, and there is this old rumour that he used to live on the roundabout in Elephant & Castle in london, i walk on that most days. where on earth he was supposed to be living i don't know

Haven't heard that one yet, but I'll definitely check it out. I've only ever heard him remixing his own material, which is always quite interesting. The 'Little Lord Faulteroy' mix of Come To Daddy is extremely strange, and it sounds absolutely nothing like the original, but it's really good.
I love his unique drum programming style, especially on Richard D. James and the Come To Daddy EP. The snare sound is incredibly cool.

I read one regarding Stockhausen being sent some of Aphex Twin's work and criticising it for it's lack of structure or something, and the reply that he gave was that Stockhausen should jazz up his music a bit, put a dance beat into it, and go out drinking with him and his mates.

Have you worked with anyone else on this album?
Yeah,at the beginning of 1997 I adopted 3 goats on my farm in scotland and taught them how to write music,I upgraded one of the goats at the end of 98'with a hoof mod and its fucking serious man/woman.
Are there going to be any more collaborations with yourself and Chris Cunningham?
Well I think chris is too skinny at the moment and I cant bear working with skeletons so ,he has to put on a considerable amount of weight on first"
