I can't physically listen to this song- It has a really horrific personal memory attached to it and just one note of it sends me out of the room (13 years later!!). Similarly can't hear Staring at the Sun by U2 as it reminds me of the day my dad died. Both too sad and traumatic to be somewhere I can go...

I don't think I've ever cried because of music unless I felt like crying in the first place, except for a couple of very notable exceptions (below.) Usually, very emotional music just makes me feel really empty and overwhelmed, like it sucks everything out of me, replaces it with itself, and leaves me sitting there with this look on: :stunned: I feel kind of guilty about that. It makes me feel like I'm some sort of shallow, heartless person that music can't make me cry.

Places by Ours and This Joke Sport Severed by Manic Street Preachers both made me tear up when I heard them live. Those two songs are on a completely different level to me than any other songs, ever, for personal reasons. I can play them both on piano, and I feel an emotional response, but... no tears. Unless I can relate to either of them particularly well at the moment... :unsure:
