I did a search on all three of Stephanie Meyers books and I'm surprised that no ones made a thread about them. The new one, Eclipse is going to be released on August 7th.
She also claims that Muse inspired New Moon, I can see a few Muse tracks in her playlist - http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/nm_playlist.html.
What do you think about the books? I like them despite the vampire cliche theme.

I thought that the first book was excellent, but I didn't like the second one too much (I suppose I didn't even finish reading it).

the books are a bit...predictable?

I enjoyed both books, and I hope to get the recent one soon. I can see the interation between some Muse songs and her books, the inspiration. When I was reading the book I was thinking that some of thier songs would work so well.

Some of it is a little cliche, sure. But by Stephanie Meyers closing herself off from anything vampire that she can, she has some little things in there that aren't like most vampire stories.

This is a pretty good series, but I think the best was still Twilight. The other two were just okay/good in my opinion.

Yes, Twilight is going to be a movie! :D
You can read about it here (http://stepheniemeyer.com/twilight_movie.html).

I must say that I am dissapointed that Robert Pattinson is going to play Edward... but Kristen Stewart as Bella is better.

I've read both Twilight and New Moon, I'm currently like 13th in line at the library to read Eclipse. Can't say I'm a big fan of the series, the writing style bugs me, but maybe its because its catered for YA and the fact that it reminds me (alright prepare to ship me down) like a fan fiction as well

I'm still lmao regarding the fact that Cedric Diggory is portraying Edward, oh this movie is going to be a lot of fun when it eventually releases :p

I've only read Twilight (don't care to read the others). But I loved it! Very sappy and predictable and all that but it's still good. Sort of my guilty pleasure.

I'm excited for the movie! At first I wasn't sure about Pattinson as Edward but I've seen a few behind the scene looks of the movie and I now I'm really convinced that he's perfect for the role.

He's so dreeeeeaaaamy. :p:LOL:

I got into Muse through Twilight :$ First time I read it, I thought it was brilliant. I still do, but the books liknd of lost their magic after Twilight. It has to be the bast one so far. New Moon was good because it was depressing, I love dark stuff like that. But Eclipse made me realize that the series aren't as perfect and amazing as everyone thinks they are

Same, that's how I became a Muse fan. And for that, Stephenie is my hero.

I have read the whole series including The Host - which I really enjoyed. I don't know.. it's really good and all but it is kind of a cliche and predictable. Also, it bothers me that nothing bad ever happens to the Cullen's. (Haha, I know I'm probably weird.) But it would just seem so much more realistic if something bad happened to them - not that I'm saying I actually want one of them to die, though.

Have you guys been reading the Breaking Dawn Quote of the Days?

Acknowledgement taken from New Moon:
And finally, thank you to the talented musician who inspires me particularly the band Muse. There are emotions scenes and plot threads in this novel that were born from Muse songs and would not exist without their genius

Acknowledgement taken from Eclipse:
I'm in your debt, rock god of Muse for yet another inspiring album. Thank you for continuing to create my favourite writing music

My friend told me about this book and about this acknowledgement. I totally didn't know about it. And I smiled and giggle(even worse in public) when I see this  It's so nice to know that they did inspire such a good author like Stephanie Meyers and I belive so much more people =)))

Yay! :D:D I wonder does Muse know about this? They inspired a author who actually created a great story for all of us.:happy: Thank you to Muse for all this ;)
And Breaking Dawn should be out by today or maybe even earlier :erm: I wonder did she write about Muse in Breaking Dawn. I'm sure(almost) that she did write something for them.

Argh....halfway through with the book.

Part of Jacob's story, in Book II, was surprisingly not that bad. One thing that caught onto me was Leah's character: as annoying as she was, she develops a lot this time around, especially when the pack separates. She's now one of my favorites.

If Rosalie wasn't annoying in the previous books, then good grief.......:noey:

Not much with Alice in the story, right after the wedding. LoL Bella's little mutant rascal is giving her headaches because once again Bella is a vampire-power-proof human freak.

Bella, I give up. Thank god the entire book wasn't from her POV, because....ARzJSCXLWKQJZ

I give up on finding the right thread, so this is just my two cents. [I'm done]

I liked BD. Book 1 was a bit bad, book 3 was unberable, watching Jacob suffer with Bella. My hands were itching to slap her. And I was very disturbed by the thing...

But Book 3 was awessommme! Finally, some action. I actually grew to like Reenesme [as stupid as her name is] I was very relieved towards the end when another half human/vampire showed up. Its going to be hard not to imagine Bella, Edward and Reneesme together. They're a...family as weird as it sounds. Plus we got a vampire's take on things ;)

When Alice left it just broke my heart. She's one of my favorite characters, blah blah blah.

Overall, I didn't think it was going to be as bad as the spoiler suggested *shrugs* SM did good enough...

Still trying to finish the book (sorry, I'm a slow reader :$)

Some other notes I wanna say:
First of all, the quote on page 406 that was mentioned before, with Bella saying "I guess my brain will never work right. At least I'm pretty."...was taken out of context here. She was just kidding around with Edward, when he was complaining that he's still unable to read her mind. :p

LOL favorite scene by far: Bella snapping at Jacob once she realizes that he imprinted on Renesmee. And totally lost it right when Jacob calls the baby Nessie. Yeah...so that's where the Loch Ness monster jokes that everyone's been cracking about had started at.

And...yep. This book is pretty strong in content. No wonder the publishers/editors were asking Stephenie Meyer to tone it down a bit. In fact, should Breaking Dawn be made into a movie...it should be a strong PG-13, if they stick along with the book,

With the Twilight Soundtrack thread already existing, then people can talk about Muse influences and such on that thread, and have this one be about the books (given the thread's name)..? :erm:

Silly spoilers from before the release date...you got it wrong...here's what really happened:
Rosalie didn't die. Her and Emmett pretty much fell out of the story, in terms of the storyline focus. Page 724 is the last we hear from them, and I browsed through the later pages too. Nothing bad happened to them, hooray.

Yeah, the books are really overrated now. It was nice when only a few people had heard about the books.

As for Breaking Dawn... I was really counting on someone dying. It's not that I wanted anyone to die but it just had to happen. Personally, I think all of the Cullen's have cheated death one too many times.. that's just my opinion though.

The final book to the series 'Breaking dawn' was released today.
And I think I'm one of the very few people who have noticed that in New Moon, alot of things I can tell Stephenie Meyer took from Muse songs and stuff.
Like when Edward leaves Bella in New Moon, Edward erases the memories Bella has of Edward. Like the photographs and stuff. (Outro of Citizen Erased)
And Bella has her first delusion of Edward in the city. (City Of Delusion)
And also at some point in the series Edward said '"I swear, you'll be the death of me" (Time Is Running Out) which is on the playlist of songs Stephenie Meyer listened to whilst writing the series.

Anyone else noticed any of those things?
There were more, but I've forgotten. And I'm actually kinda annoyed that Stephenie used Muse lyrics and song titles in her books..

Today, I talked to a friend from the lex who I haven't talked to in a long time. She asked me what I thought of Breaking Dawn and I told her that I thought it was ridiculous. Upon this statement, she sent me her review off amazon. I find it to be exactly what I've been wanting to say all along but she says it so much better. Here it is:

Breaking Dawn was a big dissapointment. The reviews on Amazon showed as much. It isn't a good sign if a couple of hundred pages in you're finding yourself not enjoying the book. The fact that it's the last book is saddening because it's really a lousy way to end the series. Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse were not the best of the best when it came to fiction, but at least they were a good read and had a intresting plot. Breaking Dawn is just insane. My main criticism is that everything that happens is completely out of place, and has disregarded the other three books as well as butchering the characters in the process. Compare Bella, Edward, Jacob or any of them to the characters that were in Twilight. There's a big difference. Really so far the only characters i'd feel a liking to in the book would be Seth, Jasper and Jacob, and even the latter is completely messed with at the end.

*SPOILERS BELOW*

The main theme of the books is choice and sacrifice, dwelved even more deeply in Eclipse. Bella has the choice of been with Edward her soul mate, and as well as giving up her current life, also giving up her humanity. But she also has the choice of been with her werewolf friend Jacob, and having everything she stands to lose by becoming a vampire- children, family, growing old. In Eclipse she realises this all and it's consequences and makes he descision, she chooses Edward. That was what Eclipse was for, to show Bella she couldn't have it all. Well Breaking Dawn completely disregards all of this, even ignores it and pretends such an issue never exsisted. What was the point of even having the love triangle, the chapters about the harsh realities of been a vampire and newborn, and Rosalie's story, if it was just going to ignore it? Bella doesn't lose anything. In fact she get's everything. She has her godly looking husband, she has her own baby who is 'special' and who everyone loves, she's a beautiful vampire who's so powerful she can save all her vampire friends from the Volturi, the largest and most powerful coven of vampires, and believe it or not, she get's to have not only Jacob in her life but also her Dad Charlie who also 'knows' the truth. The point is that she becomes way too perfect to the point where you can't stand the character any longer. She's no longer likeable, you won't find yourself cheering for her, you'll find yourself shaking your head in disbelief instead because you can't believe one character could be so lucky and so liked by all the characters in the book. It's just insulting the direction this book went in and how much the character was changed. She's gone from been a smart, perceptive girl who stands up for herself, to nothing more than a sex crazed housewife! She didn't lose anything nor learn anything. I feel as if i'm not so much reading the finale to a romance as I am reading about a girls transition in becoming a housewife.

That's another thing. The pregnancy issuse, or as I like to call it 'The Mistake of Nessie the mutant demon spawn'. She should never have been created. I'm certain that Stephenie is going to use the excuse "I only said vampires couldn't impregnante other vampires, not a vampire and a human", she's probably going to say that since Edward was a virgin when he changed, and still a virgin when he met Bella, he still had junk in his trunk, meaning he could impregante her. I still think the whole thing makes no sense and is ridiculous. Vampire venom is strong enough to heal wounds and enchance the human body, as well as get rid of bodily functions such as tears, but it can't get rid of sperm?! Why would a vampire need it anyway? If a vampires 'dead' with no beating heart, and a female vampire wouldn't be able to get pregnant anyway why would they still need sperm? It's not like they'd need it for humans because to them humans are food. Another criticism if this turns out to be true. A male vampire can impregnate a human girl but a human male can't impregante a female vampire? Where's the fairness in that? Really I saw the whole 'Half human, Half vampire' only as an excuse for Jacob, Bella and Edward to all have happy ends, and for Jacob to still be part of Bella's life. It was a horrible over used plot, and the characters actions revolving around it were horrible. Edward asking Jacob to abort the baby and impregnate Bella without her even knowing? Does that sound right? So he's virtous enough to not want to have sex before marriage, is such a perfect man, but he's ok with taking a baby life, and open marriage? I feel bad for Edward, Breaking Dawn really messed around with him. The only characters who even appear to have any sense are Jasper or Jacob. Jacob because he can actually see how messed up everything is, and Jasper because he's actually annoyed at 'perfect Bella' when she manages to be the best newborn ever. If I was him I would have left with Alice and not returned. Get away from the madness before it's too late and they end up like Jacob.

I was expecting a happy ending. Not because I wanted it, but because fans kept mentioning how Stephenie "loved her characters" and "liked happy endings". I wouldn't have minded it. But I seriously can't handle endings which are so happy and sugar filled that even i'm sitting there not able to take it. It didn't have to be a total blood bath or depressing ending like Deathly Hallows or Sweeney Todd but would it have killed to have a realistic one? Maybe someone important dying, maybe Jacob going his own way to live his life somewhere else, Bella finally growing up and maturing? Instead we have a cute lovey dovey chapter at the end like a fairy tale, with the two in the cottage tucking their child into bed and having a romantic moment. We didn't even have a proper climax or fight with the Volturim who were defeated as quickly as they came and then even apologizing before leaving. That's like Voldemort suddenly turning round to Harry and accepting his offer to repent, it goes agaisnt the other books. New Moon and Eclipse hyped the Volturi making them seem ruthless and powerful and instead they are made out more like a joke at the end who end up skulking away with their tails bewteen their legs. If you're going to have main villains then at least do them justice and develop them, give them more time then a couple of pages, and give them some glory. Really the book was a huge letdown for me. I feel Stephenie's liking for her characters effected the story too much, there was too much information to handle, and that the whole plot was just a copout and ridiculous.

Illuminatist, parts 1 and 3 are Bella and then part 2 is Jacob.

Mixed feelings about it, is what sums it well.

Book 2 had a fantastic build-up (couldn't put down the book during then!), but what gripes me most is the resolve. To me, the ending results came up weak from all the stretching and prolonging of the storyline.

There were waay too many new characters coming into the story, and she tried to develop all of them, but in doing so we lost touch on some of our old characters. Early spoilers suggested that Rosalie or Emmett died at the end, which now I'm not so surprised by how that was conceived. Plus, the addition of the baby and the imprinting!! ARGH!! Just wrong! And how the eff was that supposed to present closure in the end?! I know, I know Jacob deserves a happy ending...but this is just ridiculous. Clearly, SM ran out of ideas while coming up with writing this.

Although SM did say this is the last book from Bella's POV....I think she should just stop. The series isn't that great anymore.

Ugh, I just finished part 1 of Breaking Dawn. Bella is soo sex-crazed and I just want to strangle her. I'm dreading going back to read it but I know I'll finish it.. however, people have said that the Jacob part was really good and I'm starting that next.

No one liked it then? I thought it was quite good actually. All the action at the end made up a lot of the shitty ness. Plus the ending was good, when Bella was showing Edward her thoughts

I liked it a bit. It definitely wasn't as bad as I initially thought it would be.

Aw man. I got kinda sad when Bella was telling Nessie and Jacob goodbye when the Volturi were voting. I mean, I knew they weren't going to die, but still. I've learned to live with the fact that Nessie exists.I wish there would've been some action with the Volturi though. Stephenie made them out to be so bad and all. But then I remembered what Edward told Bella about the Volturi only seeming bad to the criminals, or something like that. That makes sense, I guess.

I'll write my review some other time :)

But is it just me of did anyone else feel like they're going through Twilight withdrawal after finishing BD? I was looking to see how many pages I had left when I was on the last chapter and realized that I was almost done and sighed. Haahaha

When I finished I closed it and just thought "That's it." hahahaa
It feels weird :)

Eaxactly what I did. I was like "the end. thats all there is" then I started obsessing over the damned movie because I'm going through withdraws. lol.

my review:

fyi: not really a review, just some of my thoughts on some points. I'm rushed on time, so...
I love Nessie. I think she is so cute. When Bella found out she was pregnant (which I predicted from the food cravings and the dreams) I hyperventilated. yup. I kind of liked Jake's pov. It was familiar. Like it was how I always knew jacob would think and it was almost how I would have thought of the situations. It was nice to have an outside look on things. My only problems are:
The whole build up over the Volturi over the last two books. I mean, come on! I had emotionally prepared myself for someone to die. And nope. So I wasn't satisfied.
I also felt like Bella and Edwards relationship changed. it was diferent. the whole dynamic was odd. It was almost like they lost something...
Also the whole preperation of leaving forks and never actually doing it. jeesh.
One more problem: The introducing of all those wonderful covens! There are books and books and books waiting there. I wish we could have spent some more time with them.
and the honey moon HELL. When book one ended I was like "God that was hell." It was nice and all, with funny parts (the headboard and pillows;) ) but man! lol.
NOW. After my rant. I love Breaking Dawn. Its not my favorite, and after reading it I did say "I never will read this again. I am only reading twilight. None of the other books exist." But ofcourse I'll go back on my word soon.
I think the wedding was my favorite part. It was the best wedding I will ever attend in my life. I cried.
Also the "forever and forever and forever." There was my poetic Edward I'd been waiting for the whole book.
All in all, I think Steph was trying to get the series over with. I'm not saying she did a bad job. I honestly loved it. Theres just mixed feelings...
:D

what am I going to do now?!
Oh! and the movie has been moved to Harry Potters previous release date. Yay! not 12-12, but 11-21! neways........

You can usually tell which younger users are Twilight whor-

I'm going to keep that undertitle until all of those little girls realise they hate Muse and magically disappear of the board.

You know a Twilight groupie on this forum when
a) Their join date is around the release of the latest book
b) Their music taste is shite except for Muse.
c) And when they mention Twilight in their sig/profile

Anything else? Because this sudden increase of young, Twilight fans is making me slightly depressed to be 13.

The first Muse song I heard was Falling Down... When I was 11..:erm:

But yes, that's a good point. I played TIRO for my music class last year because we were bringing in popular music, which basically is anything, and I'm actually glad to say they hated it.

Older people just generally dislike younger people because they represent themselves as young people, or are jealous, or maybe regret something they did when they were younger and just dislike the age because it represents a time that they hated.

Or it's Twilight.

English mainstream sucks aswell. The current number 1 in our charts is the X Factor finalists cover of 'Hero'.

The British public are so predictable.

Basically, mainstream is just a whole load of bollocks.

Most mainstream is woeful in any country.
Here in Oz we put up with either Australian Idol winners or runners up in the chartsm or Kylie Minogue. (in addition of course to the horrible mainstream crap from the UK and USA)

In my day, the teen girls were all into "Sweet Valley High" books. Oh those were the days...

They certainly were! I remember those books well:$

I still have a good couple of books of that.:LOL::LOL: That made my day. ACE!!!

Ah, but when was the last time you read them though?;)

Older people just generally dislike younger people because they represent themselves as young people, or are jealous, or maybe regret something they did when they were younger and just dislike the age because it represents a time that they hated.

Or it's Twilight. Just a theory.

Bit of a generalisation there- I may be ancient but I haven't got a problem with people of any particular age. Maybe that's just me though.

Bit annoying to see that there is apparently a whole load of twilight bandwagon jumpers- I read them all ages ago, thought the books were ok, didn't realise they were aimed at youngish kids (did get exasperated that they didn't just have a good shag/ get on with being a vampire and stop whining on about it though). But if that has the knock on effect of actually getting people to expand their taste and actually give Muse a decent go, it's all good by me:happy:

Anyway, loads of people like crappy music when they're young (I know I did) you do tend to grow out of it in time when they get the opportunity to discover there is decent stuff besides the pap in the top ten:happy:

The reason why so many young people like it is because

a) it was popular

b) it was cooler than Potter

c) It was the only book they'd read apart from the ones they're forced to read through school.

d) It's certainly not Edgar Alan Poe; So it's an easy read

Not many people my age read a lot, I've noticed, except for that book. They delude themselves into thinking it's the greatest because they've never read anything else.

i beg to differ. this book certainly was not cooler than Harry Potter. and Potter wasn't that hard to read -- yes, the themes were probably a bit hard for a 13 year-old to understand, but the majority of people i know will say that Harry Potter was a lot "cooler" than Twilight.

I found this quote and thought everyone might enjoy it. Sounds like Stephenie Meyer is a huge Muser! (She should visit the forum, well maybe except for this thread!) And she has met Matthew too!

What is the best thing you’ve received from a fan?

I know the coolest thing I ever got. It must have been during the ‘New Moon’ tour. I was in Phoenix and there was this little girl, who I still correspond with now and then because of this gift she brought me. She came out from San Francisco and she had driven to Phoenix for this event. At that point I still wasn’t used to that. She brought me a homemade CD of rare B-side Muse songs. I had never heard them before and oh my gosh, I wore that CD out. I loved it so much. I felt guilty though -- I had to order everything once I knew it existed because I’m not about pirating. (Laughs) But she gave me the gift of Muse songs I hadn’t heard and it doesn’t get better than that.

Resentful? C'mon, it's a vampire love story aimed at adolescent and pre-adolescent females, it's not supposed to be classic fine literature! And anything that gets Muse more of an audience, especially here in the US where they are certainly not as well known as in Europe or UK, is good for the band. So people need to stop being so selfishly judgmental and just accept it for what it is.

As tempting as it is we should resist categorising people and fan bases for music, books or anything else.
Just look at the "Other Bands" forum as to how the tastes of Muse fans varies. Yet we all love Muse. I'm sure we wouldn't like being pigeonholed as "typical Muse fans" the way people have been stereotyping those who enjoy the Twilight series.
And yes I also like capital "L" literature along with horror, sci-fi, fantasy, crime, True Crime...I could go on but I won't.
Again there's no need to pigeonhole people.

Hiya hoodoo---I certainly wasn't meaning to be derogatory to Twilight fans----hell, someone lent me the first book and I devoured it in one day, all 500 pages, and I'm a slow reader! Haven't let myself start the second one until I get some required projects completed....

My point was that people were being so judgmental that their Muse deigned to allow their music to appear in a film which the overly judgmental Muse fans thought was somehow beneath them. I just think it's great exposure for Muse, how can that be bad? Sometimes people just take themselves a bit too seriously.

Too bad I didn't know you a month ago when I was in Sydney with a Muser friend from UK---we had a fun meetup with a Muser from Wollongong that we had met on this forum. Next time we'll have a pint or cup of tea and discuss Literature with the capital L!

Don't know many guys that enjoy vampire erotica. It probably paid well and that would be reason enuff to give the book a sift through.

Twilight....it's just saturated too much...blech

Huh? Female vampires are usually depicted as incredibly attractive, sexually voracious, mysterious/alluring, clad in sexy-type garb (dark/lace/corsets etc) blahblahblah. Most blokes I know are hardwired for that sort of thing...Altho, you're right, stories from an adolescent girl's POV would prob not be as interesting.

Your point is accurate...I guess erotica was the wrong term to use describing Twilight (sexually voracious was absent from this read).

No, actually Stephanie Meyer is a huge Muse fan; she even says a special thanks to them in one of her novels for giving her inspiration. Also, those playlists are not the movie soundtracks, but rather songs that Stephanie Meyer chose because she thought they identified with her story in one way or another. Songs mean different things to different people and in no way are they "official Twilight songs."

seriously why are we hating on people for LOVING muse?
I mean its kind of hard not to...
Good on her, muse are very inspirational

Eh, we can't blame her for having good music taste. Even though the Twilight Saga is mind-numbing crap, we can't get mad at her just for having functional ears. We can't "claim" Muse and keep their awesomness from the world.

anyway I think it's all right as long as the people genuinely like Muse and not only because it's in Twilight (i.e YAY MUSE R AWSUM CUZ STEPHY LIKES THEM!!!)

At least the chicks dig it when I say I like Muse and they're all like "woah you like Muse, I like Muse they were in Twilight yay twilight 'drool'..."

One?! She mentions them:

-in the back of New Moon
-in the back of Eclipse
-in the front of Breaking Dawn
-in the back of Breaking Dawn

And in all of those places, she can't stop going on and on about how great they are. Don't you think she's big enough of a Muse fan to put a few of their songs on her playlists?

And she seems like a pretty hardcore Muse fan, too. If you look at her other playlists, she has some pretty unknown ones there, like Yes Please and Futurism.

And like everyone else said, you really can't blame her for liking a great band. ;)

My bad. It's been a while since I've opened those books. And great point.

I don't really get why there's so much hate when "other people" discover Muse and start to like them. Shouldn't we be happy about this? Spread the love people.

I have mixed feelings toward all this..

I hate the whole "Twilight SAGA" and fanbase it has. I'd hate to see any of it taint the band.

On the other hand, if I hate it, and don't pay much attention to it, then why should it bother me? Perhaps it'll make MUSE more popular in the States and we'll get to see them more often, and not just opening for bands like U2 or MCR (GAG).

I know MUSE is pretty huge across the pond, but here? Not as much. I like to see bands grow organically into stardom, rather than having some crappy tween movie shoot them into the spotlight by a bunch of emokids.

It did make me smile to hear she is such a big fan tho and gives major shoutouts to Muse in her books.

erm.. that's not the film play list  That's a play list she recommends that you listen to when reading the book / it's the songs which inspired here to write each part of the book - if you read the bit in brackets you would know that... sheesh guys, get over it

[Repeat post in another Twilight thread, wasn't sure which was the official thread for it]

I saw the film, and I'm embarrassed to say I was seduced by the whole idea, having a bit of Gothic/vampire etc. fetish

However, I've yet to read the books and will do so in order to create an informed opinion, but apparently although the story is addictive the books are very poorly written, so badly that Stephen King felt the need to bitch about it

Is it wrong as a hardcore Muse fan to even remotely like Twilight?

Ugh. The Twilight series story was great, except Stephenie Meyer had to go and destroy it with sexism (frail, helpless, weak little Bella), poor grammar in instances, and overprotective guys. I wish the story was turned around and Bella was the vampire. Then it would be way cooler.
Death...upon Stephenie Meyer.

And the movie was kinda cheesy and poorly directed. It wasn't even Twilight-turned-movie. It was almost like an adaptation. Really different. New Moon WILL be better though!! (i hope)

All right, my commentary on Twilight is winding down...

Well, can't fault her for liking Muse, can we?
Though she was either lying about using them for inspiration, or the Muse songs were very un-inspirational. The former's most likely true, since Muse is awesomeness and the Twi series, when written, was...death. (vampires=dead, too.)

But yeah, she's got one redeeming quality, at least. Liking Muse!!

so I saw the first movie before I read the books and I didn't like Bella at all in the movie. She had exactly ONE facial expression. I mean c'mon, acting talent? What on Earth happened to her, in Into The Wild she was brilliant..
During reading the books, she started nerving me even more. She's an emotional wreck...And a bitch not to forget.
I don't understand how anyone can have such an awful writing style as Stephenie Meyer has. First, She exaggerates every character and once you've read through the whole series and might wanna try to read one again, it's just so boring, because nothing is surprising anymore..
Now, if you read a GOOD book e.g. Lord of the Rings, you notice that even after 10 reads, there is always something new to discover that you haven't noticed before.
Not that I'm comparing LOTR with the Twilight "saga" but as an example..
Geez, even Harry Potter is better than that.

Lol (: sorry guys

I think it's because the old ones sink down and no one notices them until someone bumps them up again. And then we have three twilight threads.

The rage one was about silly twilight fans posting silly comments to muse videos on youtube. The next one was about the book series generally (no idea why it's in other muse topics) and the third one was about muse appearing three times in new moon, which they don't actually. They've all turned into twilight bashing threads though.

I really don't have a problem with them.. It's not that hard to skip a few twilight threads.
