AWESOME.
Dub/Roots/Jazz/Ambient kinda stuff.
Basically a whole fuck load of talented instrumentalists from New Zealand.

Check out Ernie especially from that last link. Although make sure you have decent speakers/headphones because it's just not worth it if you can't hear the bass.

Good to see some people outside out of New Zealand are appreciating them! There's some French show they were on with Muse at the same time, quite weird to see.
Seen them a few times now. There's lot of great New Zealand dub/roots out there and it's started to get main stream notice. Everyone back home knows Wandering Eye.

Did it do well in the charts there?
My friends have been huge fans for years, they're a bit unimpressed now because they've been playing a few average shows where they're not doing encores. I remember my friend gave me their cd at end of 2005 and I was like I'll listen to this while studying and ending up just laxing out on my bed and doing nothing.

i think it's a good thing. i think we have a really good music scene, i actually really miss it, was really getting into some great local bands back in christchurch before i moved here.
just wish kora would hurry up and record a full album, they impressed me far more than fat freddys drop at rippon festival last year.

Flight Of The Conchords ftw too.
Fat Freddy's Drop are fairly popular here I think. I got recommended them by a friend then saw them headline the Jazzworld stage at Glastonbury. The crowd was pretty big.

They played Glastonbury? Awesome.
I wanted to see them or the Black Seeds play in London but they keep playing weekdays and it's a bit of a cunt to get to London from Abingdon then. I can get to Oxford but then I'm 6 miles short.

My friend from netball is a Kiwi and she reccomended these guys. I'm so glad she did, they are fucking ace.
At the moment I'm loving Hope, Roady, Cay's Crays, The Nod, Wandering Eye and The Camel.
But it's all great, really.
