A local band called The Knights played TIRO and In Your World at a gig a while ago. They were pretty good actually, the music was spot on. But whenever there was a high note the singer did a low note
They did a Sex pistols cover that owned the band they were supporting.

No. I was just considering the bands I have seen and how miserable most of them would be at doing a Muse cover.

Heard an unsigned band start their set with Muscle Museum, and part wa through their second play PiB. They weren't bad. The singer had a good falsetto and decent range.

Yup, I have to agree on that, most of the bands who covered Muse tracks were awful, but hey they're young so I'll give them credit for effort.

The first gig had the best Mosh. The Offspring fans know how to do a good mosh and circle pit.
Blink mosh sucked. And there were too many crowd surges in the Muse mosh, plus everyone was jumping at different times, totaly out of sync and dodgy.

Just listened to Plug In Baby. :( I had the volume right down cause I didn't want anyone to be wondering what the hell I was listening to, but I swear that there was consistently a wrong note in the riff.

Sure, they're young (at least I'm assuming they're younger than I am), but why not do a song that you can play right? That would impress me more.

My friend really wants to play New Born, which could be cool, the only thing is I don't think I can make the solo sound any good, unless I make something up myself. But I think we'd be okay for vocals, even though we'd have to have a female, cause two new girls came this year who are apparently first class singers.

At my high school's football games (american football), the school band plays TiRO when our team is losing and there is only a minute left in the game. If you cover a Muse song, you have to rock out as much as you can and play it according to your strengths.

The idea isnt to create a carbon copy of the original.

A few months late responding to this but the thread's been bumped.

I'm sure they've mentioned playing a Muse song live, even though it might not be SS. Dream Theater are Muse fans apparently.
