I fear the snow has halted my tickets getting to me, they were supposed to arrive Tuesday/yesterday, still no sign of them :erm: I wouldn't mind so much if it was just me, but that's Laure's ticket as well..

Oh no... Did you get a tracking number or sometimes to find out where they are?

I messaged the seller to ask, so fingers crossed.. but if they don't arrive tomorrow, then I'm not sure what to do.

Hi, how may I help you?

Good News, the Jubilee Line will be working fully this weekend.

Now will the Snow halt Biffy getting to Manchester & London???

If it stays as it is, there won't be any problem in Manchester

Does anyone know if Royal Mail will start delivering stuff in this weather? My ticket was meant to be delivered via next day delivery on Wednesday, but it hasn't arrived yet, and according to the tracking number, it's still in transit, so will it arrive by saturday morning do you think?

Royal Mail keep going regardless of the weather. You'll find that things take longer to get from place to place though. I'd be surprised if it doesn't arrive by Saturday.

They turned up at the old address on Tuesday, nobody was in so a card was left which apparently said "Next day delivery, urgent pickup, blah blah blah". Nice of the people living there now to let me know :indiff:

I enjoyed being a little twatty this gig. During Many of Horror my brother put his hand on my shoulder, and I shouted "Take your stinking hands off me, you damn dirty ape", completely ruining the vibe for a good 30 people around me. I also got a kick out of seeing glum or bemused faces during Jaggy Snake :)

Oh, and I definitely sung the end of Joy.Discovery.Invention louder than everyone else :p

I refused to sing along to Many of Horror, it was just about the only song I didn't sing to though, as a result I now can't speak.

Well then you weren't singing loud enough before lol.

Any song after Jaggy Snake must have been sung at least a few decibels lower than before, and I was all over the place during G&T :)

I'm glad everyone enjoyed it. The setlist they've played on this arena tour has been fantastic (although they've actually had less setlist changes than Muse ) and the show and set design were amazing. I went to the Nottingham show. Was on the barrier around the middle of the catwalk on Simon's side so actually ended up behind Simon when he did songs at the front of the catwalk. I loved when after Folding Stars the mini drum kit and keyboard popped out of the catwalk, which was a surprise. It was a fantastic version of Diary Of Always.
Best moment for me: Simon shouting 'There's no such thing as a what?' and the reaction afterwards. :awesome:
Edit: I actually managed to make this post, FUUU Doris.

Ended up about 3 rows from the front, roughly in line with James. There were some pretty painful crowd surges for the first couple of songs, and a fight broke out just behind me...But it calmed down a bit after that. Jaggy Snake was mental. There were some people looking really confused, some going totally crazy, don't think there was anyone inbetween :p And Simon's acoustic version of Folding Stars was so good! :')

Sonisphere might not be the best place to play a set with a lot of OR tracks though. :chuckle:

They should leave out songs like Know Your Quarry and God & Satan at least. I do like OR though and songs like That Golden Rule, Shock Shock and Booooom, Blast & Ruin would go down well with the Sonisphere crowd I think.
They should mix it up more with the older stuff though.

Sonisphere is more like Download in the sense that the crowd is more metal friendly than mainstream friendly. Biffy would do well to play a heavier set.

Milky Joe

The thing about Biffy Headlining Sonisphere, is the type of songs that they've become big off of (Many of Horror, Bubbles, Mountains) aren't the heavy songs that they should be playing at Sonisphere, but as a headliner, they need to play the songs that got them famous. Catch 22 situation for Biffy here, let's see if they make their setlist any heavier than it is atm.

Sonisphere is the perfect time to pull out Scissorkick. It's one of their best songs, and they've been promising more B-sides live for ages.

They should consider bringing one or two of Strung to Your Ribcage, Wave upon Wave upon Wave, Some Kind of Wizard, Kids from Kibble, Now the Action or Eradicate the Doubt back as well.

1 Bodies in Flight (I swear I was thinking of this opening before it I saw it last page)
2 Get Fucked Stud
3 Who's Got a Match?
4 Bubbles
5 Glitter and Trauma
6 Born on a Horse

12 Living Is a Problem
13 Some Kind of Wizard

Read in the paper today that if Matt thingywatsit wins the X Factor, then he's going to release a cover of Many of Horror. Apparently. No idea if it's true or not, but still -

Somewhere, simon Neil has been gripped by a strange urge to kill... :chuckle:

Yes granted, 99% of Biffy's best material is on albums 1-3 but I still think its worth a short. The Jeff Buckely campaign started just before sales and that got to no2. Even if its just recognition that the xfactor version isn't the origin and the general public realise that its just ANOTHER boring ballad-ey pub karaoke cover

This is still based on rumour anyway, isn't it? And really, rather than have two Many of Horrors in the top 10, I'd rather somebody else win the X Factor instead so that we don't have to put up with what will surely be a despicable cover.
