Five years ago Carl Johnson escaped from the pressures of life in Los Santos, San Andreas...a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs and corruption. Where filmstars and millionaires do their best to avoid the dealers and gangbangers.

This game looks really cool. I love Vice City and thought it was huge but San Andreas is supposed to be like 5 times the size of Vice City so this should be 5 time better. I'm not too sure about the time it's set in and the character but it should be really cool.

The quicker it comes out on PC, the better. Consoles are a damn rip-off. They're just low spec PCs specialized for use with games. If PCs had a better operating system than Windows then It'd be perfect.

Can't wait for San Andreas though (even if I do have to wait 9 months or over for it). Sounds better than Vice City (I hope it is as well). IMO Vice City, though it incorporated many great features, was lacking something. I always go back to GTA3.

Football games are better on the consoles. When you have mates round, you need a console and a multiplayer game. And the consoles are just fuss free, you stick in the game, it runs. Also, they do a good job of graphics because they are not, like you point out, running extra processes, like your OS. I will be buying GTA for the PS2, because from what I've heard about previous installments they are buggy on the PC, and I play GTA for hours, and PC's just get hot and slow up.

It's because I did all the missions, and I knew my way around the cities too well. I prefer not to know my around the maps completely. When I first played GTA3 I loved the fact that I didn't have a fucking clue where I was going. I just really liked that.

Picked up a copy of it on Saturday, and I'm quite enjoying it.

I'm glad you can now steal a small jet and swim, two (rather minor) additions that were quite needed in my opinion. I'm very glad that the storyline missions are more centered around a role now, instead of just seemingly random gangs. Although, that might just be me.

The one problem I have is the lag my PS2 gets, which I'm noticing more and more. Speeding against traffic on the police motorcycle away from the bastard SWAT only to lag and slam into a car is highly annoying.

No. There are 50 oysters scatterd about San Andreas. None respawn once you've taken them. Its just like the tags.

They had better fix that thing where you see a rare car, and go "fuck, look at that fucking army tank thing" and as soon as you get in it the engine just generates lots of them.

Yeah, I've found that out. Just do it alone and stay near the health and armor pick-ups.

Im glad that the next next gen consoles are coming out end of this year start of next, cos it forces the developers of GTA to actually overhaul the whole thing. They had better fix that thing where you see a rare car, and go "fuck, look at that fucking army tank thing" and as soon as you get in it the engine just generates lots of them.
Theres nothing to fix. They put that code in on purpose. If you don't like it then complain to the about it.

I hated Just Business and it took ages to do Wrong Side of the Tracks as well. The one I really got stuck on, though, was Wu Zi Mu. I just can't do races.

But the worst is the last mission, it goes on for ages - you have to fight your way in, fight your way out and THEN follow the fucking firetruck. I just can't catch Sweet and it's really pissing me off cos it takes about 20 minutes to get that far.

yeah, my Pc can play Half Life 2 aswell.

i think it's just cause there's tons of stuff, and the processor can't handle it. there's so many things going on at once, where as with Half Life 2, there isn't that much until you get outside.

Thing is with HL2, Valve spent ages working on the code making it playable on all types of specs.

GTA SA is just a port, they wouldn't have changed the code that much, so it's not as efficient at using the resources available.

2. I know the UFO stuff is bollocks, cuz its just the airplane. And i'm not bothered about bigfoot. But is the rumor about the weird massacre guy real? Or is it just a set-up when you recrute a rare "dressed in black" ped and stand him on a cabn? lol :confused:

UFO: NOT REAL. Its the 3 green lights coming off the passanger airplanes that take off to different islands of SA.

BIGFOOT: NOT SURE. There is a pic on the wall of CJ's Mom's house and if you zoom in, you will see a fluffy figure with yellow eyes in the background. People say the have seen him around the woodland but many say its bull.

THE KILLER: SCAM! Its not real. You simply find the rare pedestrian dressed in black around the desert and recrute him to your gang. Then you stand him on the house or recrute another ped and kill them and then take screenshots. :LOL: I find it funny and do it all the time cuz it actually looks real :D You can make him do all sorts of shit and take pics!

LEATHERFACE/PIGSY: NOT REAL This is a load of lies. It was said that a chainsaw masacre pedestrian roamed the woodland North,West of lost Santos. Its pretty much the same as above except the chainsaw bit is bull.

Yeah, the one where you have to quickly sprint to the truck to catch him. I get about half way through the car park (full stamina) and he jumps. I thaught the glitch with the cheats was that you didn't get 100% game completion. Why should cheats effect a mission?

Hey ppl! I completed all the SA story missions the other day and now I need some help so I can prat around a bit :D

I'm looking for 2 vehicles.
1.SWAT Tank (the blue armored riot truck with the water cannon).
2.Hunter (the vigilante helicopter with missiles n' shit)

1. I have been told that the SWAT tank is only avaidable on the last mission so you have to get it and take it to your garage and fail the mission purposley. But I didn't know this until after I completed it :rolleyes: So does anyone know how/where I could find one? I have tried a 4 star wanted level but I doesn't work because this vehicle is for riots. I have also tried putting the ped riot cheat in and I still had no luck... :(

I have thaught of doing one of the pilot lessons where you have to use the Hunter but its impossibe to go and stow it in a garage isn't it? lol. So, does anyone know where I could find one? I'm doing the missions where you have to find the cars in San Fierro, I've completed the first list, but on the second one, I cannot find an FCR-900 ANYWHERE on the map! Rather frustrating, so does anyone know of a spawning place for this particular vehicle?

How to get: Once you have unlocked the street races go to the street race in
Los Santos and Walk into the red marker and select "Backroad Wanderer"
Start the race and drive the "FCR-900" to your location, get out of and wait
for the time to run out, Exit the race tournament screen and your vehicle will
be where you left it.
