I think it's funny. I've found that it's one of those shows I liked watching on DVD more than week-by-week because then I could see all the in-jokes and story lines built up in a short amount of time. Arrested Development is like that too. Why oh why did that show get canceled :(

I love How I Met Your Mother. It's pretty crap most of the time, and I appreciate that the characters aren't all that likeable, but I still find myself caring about them :rolleyes:

it really annoys me how infrequently new episodes are coming out at the moment. why the wait until april 11th for the next one?

i think the characters are pretty likable. especially marshall.

ah yay, usually no one agrees with me about this :p i don't think the actor's very good, he makes me think of the kind of acting you would do for a play, too theatrical and stuff. and the character itself is a bit annoying too.

I'm not very familiar with friends, but I think I liked Ross.. not my favourite though. It's probably just the actor (for Ted) that reaaally annoys me and now I just can't get over it. But it's not all the time.

yeah, i think barney is by far the most important one for the show. and neil patrick harris does an amzing job playing barney :happy:

how i met your mother is awesome! got so many friends into the show :D

the similarities of himym and friends are endless. it's pretty sweet that they can do away with one character in the gang (phoebe) otherwise the mapping is pretty obvious.

one episode i loved was when they had anne dudek on (amber on house). she did an episode of friends where she gets dumped on her birthday (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6f5HKqJWWg) and on himym she gets dumped on her birthday too :D

they also have all kinds of awesome guests, most of which are pop singers like katy perry, j lo, nicole schoeihfaoeihdalha and even britney spears!

but yeah good show, robin is all kinds of hot in it, weird that she was only 22 on season 1 whilst everyone else were in their late 20s and now in their 30s

My housemate is doing a marathon and just listening it makes me feel my brain-cells ebb away.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a stupid show compared to the rest and I guess it's really good to watch something vacuous while decompressing after a long day's work.

You do Wire marathons or Breaking Bad marathons. But a HIMYM marathon? Hours and hours of end just chips away at your sanity.

ahh when shake it out by florence started... it just fit so perfectly. and all the yellow umbrellas. :supersad: i reckon marshall will finally pay up when ted marries the mother, and i reckon barney and robin will definitely end up together because robin's "me and barney? noooo..." was really unconvincing imo. her ex that i cant even remember the name of because he was so terrible, was such a bad fit for her and such a shit character. why did she even consider marrying him? she doesnt even want to get married ffs!

i was so surprised how good the episode was considering ted telling robin that he loved her seemed to come out of nowhere. this show used to be really good with logical continuity but lately its just been all over the place. and teds annoying superficial relationships have got super boring so its nice to know that hes not going to say i love you to anyone else before he meets the mother.

When Marshall talked to Robin I was like :supersad: then the rest of the episode was surprisingly deep for HIMYM lately and I really liked it.
