Hi There!

I'm new to the board. I'm glad to join all you lovely people who have such good taste music! I myself have supported Muse for many years and I love all the albums. Their music inspires me to songwrite. I've written a few songs and have just started composing my own music. I play the piano and I am teaching myself to play the guitar.

I am welsh and I do speak a fair bit of the language. Here's the longest sentance I know.....

Cymraeg(welsh): Fy hoff grwp ydy Muse achos mae nhw'n fendigedig a mae brif ganywr Matthew Bellamy yn Ardderchog yn perfformio a mae e'n o athrylith!

Saesneg (english): My favourite group is Muse because they are brilliant and the lead singer Matthew Bellamy is excellent at perfoming and he is a genius!

I'm looking forward to speak to you all!

:D

I wish I knew some welsh. What's the welsh for train station?..it's the only word I knew and I've forgotten it.

I went to wales about a month ago to see my Grandma in Bridgend. Drove there from the south east of england and back again in one day. Tiring stuff...had to watch "Strictly come dancing" there as well, which meant we got home even later. Apparently it would have been "rude" to leave in it...

wanted to go to wakestock this year, but alas couldn't get there. Same with V but WHEHEY got a ticket to see them at MEN arena on the sat (got a ring from my sis in law to say the tickets had arrived on saturda. I was making my way up Moel Famau at the time and the wind nearly blew me over I was that excited!)

I'm from a village called Gresford, which is not far from Wrexham. proud to be welsh but very ashamed not to be able to speak it. Like most I didn't bother choosing it for a GCSE, as i thought it was a waste of an exam. Sad i did that now though. My father-in-law can speak welsh fluently, as he lived in a welsh speaking community in Moss side manchester (originally from Llangynog). He's tried teaching me a bit, but his versions of words are totally different to what I was taught at school, which seems to be a common problem.

Hey ho - one day I'll learn it but for now I must be content with being able to say the longest train station and sing the BEST anthem in the world bar non!

Anglesey, suprisingly, it's not raining here today, it's actually pretty sunny!

The Welsh weather is rather unpredictable, I bet it's sunny at 4pm :D

Yeah thats where I go. I was gonna try Cardiff or Swansea but decided Glamorgan, theres a new facility in Cardiff associated with Glamorgan Uni opening in 2007 that's doing the course im doing there next year, I wonder if people who are allready on the course have the option to move down to there next year. If so I might just move to Cardiff.

Ah right, I think you can transfer quite easily, the boyfriend's off to Newcastle in September! A lot of my mates are going to Cardif, they're down there at the moment, seem to be enjoying it, apparantely Swansea's quite expensive to go to. What course are you doing, I was thinking about doing Business management in September.

Cardiff is an amazing place, I'm there pretty much every week. Swansea Uni is probably more expensive because apparently it's one of the best Uni's around here.

Media Technology. I aspire to work in Movies/TV, If I have enough money I might go on and do film studies in Uni after my Media Technology course finishes.

I've never been to Cardiff before, I'm off down there in November to visit my mates, I can't wait, should be a good laugh!
Ah, I started doing Media for A/S level, I dropped it cos I wasn't really confident enough or comfortable doing the more practical side of it, like handling the camera and stuff.

When you goto Cardiff, make sure you goto the nightlife place, it's like a strip of road of bars/clubs and then another one near it with more bars and what not, oh and be sure to check out the panpipe players, they are badass. I got 2 amazing gigs to goto in November in Cardiff. Tool and Muse

Ooh, I'm going to see Muse too, but in Manchester! Can't wait! I should've gone to Cardiff to see 'em really, cos loads more of my mates are going to see them then, I didn't find out that 'til after I'd booked the tickets, ah well!

They sold out pretty quick, a few of my friends wanted to get tickets but couldn't. Only 3 of us managed to get tickets in time.

Yeah apparently a few people haven't had their tickets from the pre-sale yet, you'll all get them eventually.

I was on ticketmaster at 8:59pm lol. Tickets went on sale at 9am and I got them. I even went into work late :/ but it wasn't proper work, they said they would be flexible with me, I had to do it back then cuz I was on jobseekers allowance and was on this crappy scheme thing in Abercynon they send you to, where they basically make you be bored as hell and look for work. But I was starting Uni real soon so I couldn't find a full time job, cuz I woulda had to quit it in like 2 months, so they gave me a crap day job. I quit it once Uni was near.

I have a question for you guys and I'd really appreciate any help. Does "marwolaeth" tanslate into "death"? Because it's kind of important that I have it absolutely right and I couldn't think of anyone better to ask than, well, someone who is Welsh. Thank you for anyone who helps! It means a lot to me.
