From Colin Macintyre:
Dear All
Spring is here in London and we can all at once let go of winter's tail. Phew...thank f**k thats over!
I could write a load about a load but basics are that i have been anything but hibernating and the music is at last taking flight and taking off (when do you stop this metaphor now you're on it?!). I'm now finishing the album and i have a new single and a tour to offer you before we all go up in smoke and begin again (with single number 2..). There are a few guest appearances on the album...i've been taking my tape recorder to some new places..
Tour dates are listed below. I want you to hear it first here. I think a few of you got word before i got to you though.. cant wait to get new music out there. Possibly more dates to be added. But I will be doing more through the summer and as the year goes on, so i'll get to all of you.
It feels a bit like re-igniting a light saber and waving it at bats that have been circling around my head. Actually, when i started typing that it felt really nothing at all like that, but now it's beginning to and it feels good.
The single is called 'Stalker' - some of you in Glasgow & London who were there in December may remember it.
Also, this website will be undergoing a facelift for Spring cleaning purposes by chief duster Mark Fraser, it'll have new features in advance of all this LONG overdue action and the small matter of a new album 'The Water'. And all you need to know about the sinlge. Any ideas for it?? Included will be podcasts of my Grandfather reading his published poetry from a bank tower in Tobermory.
More news coming v soon..

It's in may, so there's time to save. I'm thinking about booking tickets on friday when I get paid. In fact, sod it, I'm gonna do it. I can get you one and you can give me the money some other time (or just put me up on a sofa for the night )

Hah, my shitty student flat has no sofa, so I'd be giving you the money if I do... How much are the tickets, cos I'm soooo tempted?

The cabaret voltaire has tickets showing at £9 but I can't see prices for anywhere else. I'd guess they'll be similar, seems like good value.
Of course, I might try and sweet talk some press passes as part of my idle talk duties :D

Yeah, they'll all be around the £8.50 - £9.50 mark then. Glasgow is easier than Edinburgh as regards getting back and stuff. Ooooh, I'm so tempted...
Haha, I've still got reviews sitting here for Idle Talk. I'm so unreliable thanks to all this damned uni work. :( :$

Oh god no, I'd never ever ask you to do that. A train from here to Glasgow is only like £6 return, and it only takes 40 minutes. Takes well longer to drive it. I'd meet you for it cos it saves you so much hassle.

You sure? I wouldn't mind, be safer than a train, specially late at night.

Honest. I've done the last train at ten to midnight by myself before loads of times. ;)
Stirling is SOOOOO out of your way that it would a crazy waste of petrol when it's so easy to hop in a train and then get a taxi from the train station to my flat for £3.

That's such a shame, cos it's such a cute little city, with a few really nice little bars and eating places. And the castle.
And shopping. Great, fabulous, amazing shopping.

Yeah, I'll have to come up sometime, I love scotland <3
Wick was gorgeous, as was Ullapool when I went there. That road to get to it's mad though, it's a proper rally road!

That's just a normal road in Scottish terms. Some of the roads round my village back home are rediculous. I love wee twirly roads.

They're my favourite types, but not in a fully loaded van
Even the car I have now couldn't handle them, the suspension would give up!

Haha, I'm the only one who posts in here then
Colin was once again ace, and only slightly less forgetful than last time! Stalker, Famous For Being Famous and an impromptu I Tried were my highlights. Apparently he'll be touring again in April, I'm so there

Heh, will I get done for spamming this thread? :p
Listening to some of the newer songs now, they definitely have a much more mellowed out, acoustic feel to them which is a change from the songs off The Water, and heading back towards what Colin used to release, as in quirky little pop records
