90% of our bands starts as a joke OR copy of some UK or USA band.... :rolleyes: that really sucks.

It's really good. One of the best electronic albums in a while. Apparently the Brazilian version is better, so I need to check that out

Reviewed their album some time ago and wasn't impressed. In the world of indietronica only bands like Client can pull off such primitive lyrics, but CSS are nowhere near and Peaches is way better at being filthy.
The good thing is CSS have catchy, sugary tunes, but for me it's music to chew and spit out. Something I'd dance to at four am after ten million cocktails, but nothing I'd take home.

WOW - just got back from the My Space 'Secret' Gig in Manchester, with the Gossip and CSS and it was AMAZING. it was in the roadhouse, which has to be the most tiniest venue ever (smaller than a small night club) and it was just fantastic, lovefoxx was climbing on the waterpipes above the crowd, it was amazing!!!!

and why didnt you...
mind you . . . i qued for 2 hours on thursday.
and then it said doors at 8:30. did they heck as like open until 9:15. and they didnt get CSS on until 10. they did 45mins, and then theyre was a 15 min interval and another 45 mins of the Gossip! :) was good though. got free posters and glowsticks. and wristband and magical stuff.. .. . . :D

I had them as a friend on my old myspace acount, but i deleted that. If I had remembered to add them again, I could've gone :( poo :(

ye but ya needed to add the gossip and the myspace secrets gig thing, and the que up for ages in a hope to get a ticket, me n my friend hayley had an uber urban picnic, involving a subway was delicous.

I won £20 of seetickets vouchers so I got myself a ticket to their Bristol gig. It's a shame Justice are supporting Klaxons at Brixton that night, but it should still be good.

it was brilliant!
Metronomy were pretty good, but then Justice and CSS were mindblowing!
Justice were definitely one of the better bands ive seen live!
Also i got a setlist so i will post in on here later for those who are interested!

tonight CSS's sound was not that good but a bit of a downer on it. but however was smashing all the same. they had some new christmassy stage presence esque things. which you will enjoy at the shows :happy:

Justice were good but it was basically a glorified DJ set - they'd have been better off doing an after-hours club tour as the crowd was pretty shit.
CSS weren't great at all really - aside from lovefoxxxxxx, none of them had much energy or stage presence and mostly just stood on the spot playing things you couldn't actually hear.
The sound system was pretty quiet which never helps and the crowd really was shit, so I'll let them off but I was pretty disappointed with the whole thing really :(.
Actually, if CSS had been supporting Justice (with a band) it would've been great - the balance was all backwards.

i do get what you mean, Justice should have been heading it!
And now that i think back to it the sound wasnt that good, but i was standing on the left 2nd row and the keyboardist/guitarist infront of me was all over the place!

See I was on the other side in a similar place but in front of the worlds most boring guitarist and (also worst) bass player!
They'd suit a small dirty club where everyone was a bit mashed, not a big venue full of little girls and sweaty teen boys :LOL:.

It's the two of them basically doing a glorified DJ set... Some of it is them playing stuff (ie. piano in DANCE) but mostly it seems to be them using ableton with a load of rack gear and midi controllers. All hidden behind a wall of marshall cabs and some pretty lights :rolleyes:!
Quite good but ruined for me as I saw Soulwax Nite Versions recently and they do live dance so well!

Gaaah - it appears CSS have now signed a Warner Brothers contract, i just got an email from CSS saying thankyou for joining our mailing list, warner brothers records....
so im guessing, they have just patched accross all the original mail list people, onto a new warner brothers one :(

CSS is very good, they came many times to Portugal and they come again this summer but unfortunately i´ll not see them.
they have cool songs...so cool that an hacker putted a song of CSS with 100000000 on youtube a few months ago xD

im not so interested in listening to new material from them yet.... with them not being on much of a break at all from touring while recording....
