muse requested hey ya on an australian tv show and some people booed!
anyone here like em? i've just gotten into their stuff recently, no doubt one of the best hip hop/rap groups as they are so inventive and their songs aren't just about money/hoes etc.. andre 3000 is a genius with some of his songwriting though i don't like roses, way you move and have heard hey ya! so many times now

The only music in USA that deserves my listening. They are great.

they're certainly better than most of the crappy rap out there. their songs contain more than 2 chords. Some of this rap crap contains just one chord (Nelly - Hot in Herre, for instance)

One chord or not, that song was great to dance to.

speeedballin! uberness. "Walking at the grace of god at the pace of the devil life is hard we speedballin"

As y ou may have noticed from my name i am a huge fan, lyrical perfection, andre 3000 is the most talented rapper ever, forget 2pac or biggie or eminem or jayz. Their ne w stuff isn't even (really) their best either, i mean sure it sold almost diamond quantities in america but ATLiens and Aquemini are almost flawless albums. i can't tell you how much i love these guys

He's not the greatest rapper. He's the most innovative at the moment. Even Big Boi blows him out the water.

care to tell me who then? man he is the most consistant lyrical geniuous out there, big boi can flow well, but he isnt always lyrcaly as insightfull, i have listened to pretty much every kast song ever released and andre 3k verse and he hasnt dropped ONE bad verse.

Outkast, along with Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Kanye West, The Roots, and a couple of others, make up some of the only good remaining hip hop/rap.

Along with gangstarr and akon (just discovered him a few weeks ago) :) but Kanye West irritates me. A couple of songs are well worth listening to but some of lyrics just rub me up the worng way

Ask me about preyy much any genre and I can give you the best of them.

Outkast is one of the best hip-hop groups to get played on the radio recently, at any rate.

I have only the Love Below/Speakerboxx Album, and the Love Below is great. Though its not so much "Hip Hop" anymore, and I definitely wouldnt call Andre 3000 the best rapper, but he is a musical genius, anyway. On the last album he mixes a lot of genres, and brings in new stuff, but there are better rappers out there.

Stankonia is probably my favourite at the moment, though I rather must listen to their earlier stuff which has more of the Dirty South influence.

Uhhh, no love for Big Boi's new album? Come on! I thought there were some serious rap/hip hop fans here.

Golly. Well then, I'll just have to leave this with anyone who happens by this thread...
