I think they're pretty good except the faces on the front. Just seems a bit creepy to me. The OOS artwork I think is the most effective. I wouldn't wear them myself but I guess some people would. Good on you if you can get them signed by the guys.

Not at all! I painted them with acrylics; it took about 2 days :) After that, I sprayed them with sealer so the paint woudn't come off. It didn't work so well, but for all the shoes I make now, I'm using Jacquard Textile Paint.

I saw them awhile back over on muselive and as then I still think they look great especially the Showbiz Vans. I wouldnt wear them but not because they look geekish but more because Im the collector sort and wouldnt want them scuffed up and whatnot. Great work...I wouldnt mind that Showbiz scheme on my moto fairings and helmet. You've got some serious skills dont let haters deter you. ;)

i think they are fucking fantastic, a lil advice to you would be work on the faces a bit more but i think they are great, keep it up!! :)

...and about the BH&R singles, that is a good idea! I actually only own one pair of vans for myself, and the ones I'm doing now are radiohead theme...but I can't wait for someone to order a BH&R pair :)

They're quite odd. Cool, but odd. I'd feel a bit strange walking round in a pair of them to be honest, especially the ones with thier faces on it. I mean having them staring at you all day long....I do like the OoS ones though :happy:

Hahaha I know what you mean. Some MCR fans did this too to their chucks and vans. It's quite cool actually.

yeah, to be honest, I'd never wear the pair with faces either ;). The first one I did was more of an experiment with the paint, and they've been under my bed ever since. I much prefer just a design like the OOS or radiohead ones I did for myself :)

i agree w/ what you are saying...personally i wouldn't wear them but i wouldn't take away the fact that you are incredibly talented...i wish i could paint like you, you're very gifted!:)

Loved these ever since I first saw them, but would it be possible for you to put the designs on shoes with velcro or laces, as I can't wear Vans (can't keep them on lol like flip flops :( ). Converse, perhaps? :D Please lol I'd love to get myself a pair of Muse Converse or Sketchers for Christmas this year :D I'd even pay the extra cost of getting a different kind of shoe, if you wanted me to :rolleyes:

During the summer I'm having a bit of a sale, since I don't have all of the work and commitments of the school year :happy:. I'm also trying to save up for a trip to Glastonbury 2010 (that sounds so weird!) and for next year's college tuition (the amount is to scary to type...)

so yeah, until September 15th all Vans are $150, which is about £90 :)

I think if you got rid of the lyrics on the sides, they would be even more successful than they already are!
They're AWESOME... but the lack of straight lettering, etc. on the lyrics sort of detracts from the awesome.

Other than that... WANTWANTWANTWANT. The Absolution shoes are... just... MAGIC.

Also: Resistance Vans plz? I can already see what they look like... Again... MAGIC. O_O

Edit: Just saw your website. I'm in love with the "Hail to Thief" vans. Probably my favorite Radiohead album and the lettering at the heels are ACE. I don't see why people say these are shitty or ridiculous. You see people wearing band shirts all the time. I say, let's bring it down to the shoes!
