My list of fave songs would be as long as ZV's :yesey:

But what are your fave songs live? The following songs to me really come alive...erm...live.

Spaceman - such a great rocking/moshing song
Jenny... - love the bass opening
WWWY - brilliant finale to their shows. It's has stadiuam anthem quality.

I tend to totally hate the third album (not enough guitar and riffage for my own state and too much synthe) but I'm a big fan of the amazing "Sawdust" they released around the same time.

BTW My Top Killers Tracks

1.All These Things That I've Done
2.Somebody Told Me
3.Sam's Town
4.Move Away
5.Daddy's Eyes
6.Under A Gun
7.Bones
8.Why Do I Keep Counting ?
9. Bling (Confessions Of A King)
10.Shadowplay

Hey just my very opinion :)

I don't say Day And Age is "bad" and I'm all for a band trying to evolve and not doing the same stuff on each album.

Sadly I could not "connect" emotionnally to the third normal album.

Does not change the fact this band is brillant and I'm enjoying fully their Royal Albert Hall DVD :)

I'm surprised it wasn't made a Sam's Town single at has a kinda single-like anthemness to it.

Mind you so does a lot of Sam's Town. This River is Wild in particular is mental in a great way.

And to think, I was surprised when Bling made the Day & Age Tour set in the first place as I thought it was surely gonna be dropped.
Still, it sounded great live.

We got Sweet Talk and River is Wild too, which are both fantastic tracks live.

I was going to jump out and say "SAMS TOWN!!!!11111" but I guess it depends on what you enjoy the most. If you really like the synth sound, dancy sounds, then go for Hot Fuss. If you enjoy the guitars and a rawer sound, then Sam's Town should work for you.

Well that's definitively the last person I was thinking about to collaborate with them but since I like them both I'm totally fine with it !

Tom is well known for being very open minded musically and he has a voice that will compliments Mr Flowers one perfectly (like Lou Reed low pitched one did on Tranquilize).

Should be fun but my main concern about the next album is the overuse of synthes from Day and Age, and it's domination over the sound of the guitar and the bass on the last album...

Truly hope they're gonna change that, the guitar and bass are total part of their success and sound and while I do appreciate a track like Spaceman a lot live, I was bored with it on the album because of the total dominance of the keyboards over any guitar or bass...

BTW Sawdust stands more and more than an epic album , so much better than Day And Age .

A bullet in your WHAT ?

WTF? Tom Jones wasn't even a musician that my Mom would listen to (she had better taste in music).

Please do not mention Tom Jones in the same sentence as Lou Reed.

It should be spectacular. The Killers and Tom can sing Tom's greatest hits "What's New Pussycat?" and "It's not Unusual".

Then they can do some songs off Tom's new gospel album "Praise & Blame". At the intermission, a preacher can lead us in prayer.

What's New Pussycat, whoa, whoa.......

Scala is next to Euston station, where the trains out of the nearest station go to in London. So there, but I plan to be @ college when they're on sale.

Yeah just saw it. The only three people that I know would go - ones having a knee operation and the other two are at Glastonbury. Wondering whether its worth going on my own. Don't mind going on my own because theres no waiting for others for trains or anything. Saw Placebo on my own as well. Suppose it is a tiny venue so the price would be steep

Having seen Green Day alone and dealt fine I'm willing to try for either of these alone... but I'm not sure which one.

Supply and demand would seem the key but its more expensive to do Hyde Park. Though for that I presume that fee also goes to Kaiser Chiefs and James, who are playing before Brandon and co.

Dustland is possibly my favourite Killers song, it's so gorgeous. Couldn't care much for most of the rest of the album though. Human could have been on Hot Fuzz and I quite like Spaceman and Goodnight, Travel Well, but there's nothing else on there that does much for me.

I preffer Sawdust to Sam's Town, to be honest, although I don't think any of their albums since Hot Fuzz are in the same league.

They've started work on the 4th album :)
The Killers have begun work on their fourth studio album and have already written a series of new songs, according to singer Brandon Flowers.

Speaking to Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 last night (June 21), Flowers said that the band had reconvened and were now working in earnest on new material.

Asked if the band had written any songs for the follow-up to 2008's 'Day & Age', Flowers replied: "We have about four or five. We've put them up on the board and they're sounding good. We think they're strong."

'For Reasons Unknown'
'This is Your Life'

'Smile Like You Mean It'
'Bones'
'The World We Live In'
'Bling (Confession Of A King)'
'Shadowplay'
'Tranquilize'

'Dustland Fairytale'
'Read My Mind'
'Mr Brightside'
'All These Things That I’ve Done'

Pretty much the same as the last tour. I wonder if they'll play any new songs at Hyde Park?

Just back from London. Great gig Friday at Hyde Park...despite the weather. Don't think I've been so drenched at a gig before but it did actually add to the fun. Loved the setlist, a real mix...glad they didn't stick to the most recent work. The crowd were on top form and I'm sure it was down to the fact we were all drowned rats. Brandon looked great despite the fact he'd been to a bad hairdressers.

I went to the Hyde Park gig and it was possibly the best thing since Muse at Wembley Stadium! I am soooo happy they played Bling!!!! :D I really wanted to hear that! I'm a bit sad they didn't play Sam's Town and I think ending before half 10 is a bit of a let down but it was still amazing!!!

I really like it, sounds a bit like ADF at times, or a Sam's Town era song. Nothing adventurous or drastically different though, and the live recording doesn't do the vocals justice either so maybe recorded it will sound a lot better.

At Hyde Park the D&A numbers we got (Spaceman, Losing Touch, Human, A Dustland Fairytale and This Is Your Life) sounded a lot more beefed up then on record.

ADF in particular was amazing - very moving intro, huge rocking middle and a lovely performance of Moon River as an outro.

I think there needs to be less production - in a way it can be felt D&A had too much of a too electronic/pop production, whereas there's a better blend of rock and pop on Hot Fuss and on Sam's Town.

I missed them live as well, I really want to see Dustland live. It's probably my favourite studio song, at least from Day and Age and Sam's Town.

Hopefully they do go back to a more rock sound, but I'd preffer them to go back to the sort of sound they had on Hot Fuss, it was much more energetic and exciting. But I've also heard Brandon say the new record will have a sound half way between Sam's Town and D&A, which I really hope doesn't happen. It's not like their bad albums, but as D&A is essentially Sam's Town on acid, I can't see that working.

Album news.
The Killers' next album will have a more guitar-heavy sound, according to drummer Ronnie Vannucci.

Speaking to NME, Vannucci – who makes music as Big Talk – hinted that The Killers' new sound would differ from 2008's Stuart Price-helmed 'Day & Age' album.

He said: "The next album is going to have more guitars. It’s about fucking time!"

Vannucci also confirmed that the band were set to hit the studio. "In October we’re going to start recording in Nashville," he said. "It’s up in the air who's going to produce it, I can’t officially say." He continued:

We have some people in mind, but I don’t want to piss people off and say who it is. All last month we’ve been writing some great Killers songs, it’s really happening. I’m really looking forward to doing this next record, it’s going to sound fucking great.
