Love, em, I never owned any of their albums but I had most of their songs on my old computer in the Napster days.

And a friend Copied Silence is Sexy (is that the name of the album?) for me. Good stuff...

Yay for German bands! Haus der Lüge is always a favourite and Blixa is ridiculously cool and possesses the creepiest of voices. Excellent.

LittleMUSEalien,
I met Alex Hacke when he did readings from the works of H.P.Lovecraft. It
was set to the Music of the Tiger Lillies. We admired each others black
frock-coats afterwards. Could you recommend any easily accessible cds.
I don't know where to start with Ein Nau.
P.S.
Does he always look like a cross between Edgar Alan Poe and Robert L.
Stevenson? Loved the tache and beard.

I only know some songs but they are quite interesting.
Got Perpetuum mobile and Tabula Rasa from the library once. Should get some of there albums...
I like 12305(te Nacht) most.

Has someone noticed Ein seltener Vogel was played in one episode of CSI?

Sorry I didn't get back to you. I hav'nt been able to get hold of that DVD yet.
I will try this week. HMV Oxford St, probably. I can recommend the Tiger Lillies cd 'Circus Songs'. Its got lots of accordions and bizarre lyrics. They dont take themselves too seriously, which is refreshing.
Lots of love Blackwings.

I like them, very different. Usually have to be in the mood for them though. Still great stuff. I only have Perpetuum Mobile as an actual album though, and it was expensive here.

I've got all Tiger Lillies' CD's already.... That DVD however is only available in the UK. So I'd have to order it and have it imported, which will cost me a lot of money... And then I'm not even sure if it's set to all regions..

But if you tell me the show was exceptionally good. I'll get the DVD :).

yesss haha i just listened to this song before i read this :D
damn theyre my favourite band atm, and have to be one of the best bands ever pure to their fact of being so experimental and pure with expressing different feelings so well.
damn i so love this band...
when i got to know them (recently) i thought they were relatively new but after that i got the feeling that wasnt the case. how many albums do they have it total?
And another question.. who/what are the tiger lillies?

ENDE NEU!!!

I wish.. this would be your colour.....
(:.

oh and another question..
a friend i have is vegan and i havent spoken to him in a while so havent had the oppertunity to ask.. a couple of the songs (armenia for example) sound like theyre expressing the way animals feel in cages, you know with animal testing. and i just love the way its expressed... its like the expression of nature screaming as the human race proceeds abusing while also killing itself. i also get this feeling by headcleaner, only more general. was this meant to be the expression in the songs?

Whatch the video on that page for a good introduction. Then look over the rest of their site (it's kinda crappy, but well, it's made by their bassist).

Then go to iTunes and buy all their albums. Then find out when they're playing live near you.

They're the best thing I've ever seen live. Hilarious and very melancholy at the same time.

They've been around for around 20 years I think. :erm:
Dunno how many albums, though. And with all the supporter stuff it might get a bit confusing, too.

Buuuuuut:
I am going to see them next May Whoooooo.
Finally. They're on my list of 'must see' since what feels like years.

Or was it March? No, May :erm:

And you are not the only one.
A fellow student was like: They really do exist? when she saw me on their website. :erm:
And after I was at the gig (awesome gig, btw) she mocked their name. :(
Another reaction I sometimes get: They still exist?
But at least those have heard of them before.
