I was going to say the exact same thing as Spiral. I LOVE that song, and it was the first song of theirs i got to know. Only i dont know them that well.. i've only found arround 5 songs i could download.. i love the singers voice as well.. its really expressive, only i dont know if it would get on your nerves after a while, how long have you liked them Neil?? and can you reccomend anything cause i'm quite new on them :)

yes Finn Andrews "dumped" the other band members, but they came back to NZealand and ask to two old friends, Sophia Burns (Bass guitar) and Liam Gerrard (Keys) to be in the new line up of the band. Finn Andrews is coming to London on march to begin the recordin process of the new album (not titled yet). 8 new songs has been written since June 2004. Finn is coming to London with the new line up of course. ;)

I love his voice and I already have the Runaway Found since over a year. And I still love this record although there are some songs I never liked so much like "The wild son" or "The leaver's dance". I saw the video vor "Lavinia" almost 3 years ago and this song is still fascinating me. Great band.

I think he came back to New Zealand really because he didn't get on with the other band members as much as he'd hoped. As far as I understand he was set up through the record company and, although they made a brilliant album together, there just wasn't the chemistry I guess.

I discovered the Veils when I put on this blank cd i found at my friends house. I fell in love with the singer and she told me he was busy in England recording for an album. When it was released I bought it. I almost thought I would have to import it but it was released here too. :)

I went to see him here once (I live in New Zealand) but missed his performance and got there in time only to see the last of The Checks' performance, (which was great.)

The Runaway Found is great. Anyone know where I can download any of the Veils' vidoes? :confused:

Saw The Veils play for the first time in Christchurch on Friday night. Absolutely amazing. I'm still rather disappointed Muse and The Veils performances clash at Big Day Out.

the amazing second album of the album band Nux Vomica is coming out in the United States. Have a listen to this master piece. Finn Andrews is the best !!

I must say I like Nux Vomica a lot more than A Runaway Found - has more power to it, love the guitars, awesome live. Disappointed couldn't make it to London other night to see them. Oh well, I did see them in the New Year at least.

I love their new EP. It's only a digital download but it's really good (especially improving on Sun Gangs that was relatively forgettable). I get the impression from Sophie's blog that they are back living in NZ for a bit. I guess from the paper mache stuff they are making they're making a video for "the stars came out once the lights went out".

Grey Lynn Park is my favourite new song.
