Haha, I did talk to you then crazy_mary :D U're busy with ur phone at the time. Just talk to you to ask if this is the line for Muse instead of Leehom. Hey what are ya talking about, u look young to me. *compliments :D

wah.. suddenly my back doesnt hurt anymore... ur compliment gave me strength n made me feel young again:LOL: alamak.. dont want to 'lupa diri'.. i hope i talked to u in a polite tone.. if not forgive dis old lady, i'm just so used to diciplining 'youngsters' in my line of work..*wink*

hey crazy mary! i think i was one of the ppl who went up and asked for ur help to buy me the tickets which u refused to! hahahah! well i would do the same thing if i was in ur position i think ;) but it was all worth it, the long Q! the stupid noise surrounding that place! n i still manage to get tickets for The Pitt area! no im just 'menghitung hari' till i get to see my Bellamy!

seriously shanaz, i think u would at least half expect dat kind of reply rite? it wouldnt be fair 2 d kids behind me who came earlier than u.. but i hope u wouldnt think of me as very snobbish or berlagak coz i was at d front of d line.. i came early and now my back still hurts.. so sorry if i seemed very rude or harsh..i'm a very friendly person on normal n unstressful days..:)

d myfm show was really getting on my nerves.. plus wif d galaxy's chaotic n unorganised way of handling d tickets sale..come to think of if, there mayb some lee hom fans who were also forced to que wif us muse fans..

i seriously hope they'll play stockholm syndrome as well.. n hysteria coz dat's d first song dat made me addicted to muse.. :musesign:

oh vspirit cool link!!! ur mcdonald's free gift thingy is still wif me..should i throw it away?:D

EDIT: it just crossed my mind.. buying d tickets itself was already an event for most us huh? what more d concert..

u'll be surprised, not that muse has a large fan base here in singapore but for some, they just discovered muse from their latest album and just go see muse live. i'm just afraid that during the oos/showbiz/absolution songs the crowd goes dead
that was from the Muse live in Spore thread..
what if that happens..i hope the ppl who queued up the long, long, lines arent those kinda ppl..it would be very very sad if they suddenly played um sunburn or mm and the crowd goes clueless and um..egh..
anyways, CONGRATULATIONS on getting ur tix

MIIINEEE!!! ALL MINE!!! MUAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA!! i shall take over the universe!!!

hey deb, where did u get dat from? read at microcuts that BHR is gonna b re-released in Asia (most definitely b Japan) and Oz in feb.. doubt dat it will b available here but i wanna c those Reading footage n listen to 'glorious'..

it could happen here muse_music, IF i am not a muse fan i would definitely still go 2 d gig, coz its not often we get 2 c a huge rock act performing in our country.. at least dat was my reason when i went to LP n Hoobastank concert.. i was not really a fan of them.. but i went coz i wanted to c good rock shows.. only after d concert i became hooked wif LP but was really turned off wif hoobastank..but i would rather see d stadium be full wif people (like incubus gig) regardless they're hardcore fans or not, than a half empty stad(like hoobastank).. luke-warm reception would leave very bad impression of us malaysian fans.. guess that was d reason hoobastank not making a stop here after playing in s'pore on d 28th after their lousy concert here ermm last 2 years? or last year?..cant even recall

my friend got it for me for my birthday/christmas when she went for a holiday at Tokeeyoooo! i already have Absolution you see, and its my favourite album of the bunch. but my Absolution is the pasar malam version... hehheh. ;)

they're gonna re-release BHR? what for? :S

EDIT

oh, and i juuust bought the junk mag, and i read the article. i think its a bit odd that Muse are called nerds. i just feel like they're being read wrongly! i mean, they are somehow, if i must say, nerdy, but not to the extent where they're the world's greatest nerds! and since when was Chris their bass player/keyboardist????

could anyone else voice out their opinions on this particular 'nerdy' article?

vspirit
09-01-2007, 04:17 PM
i have no gripes about it, to be honest. granted, the writing style is a little stale as some s'porean and m'sian english articles are oft to be, but calling them nerds just shows them being viewed from yet another perspective by yet another journalist. that is to say, it's just one of their many facets and i find the one of them being nerds quite charming, truth be told. the writer hadn't written it to mean offensively, simmer down... ^_^;;

=)

and wolstenholme became a bassist/keyboardist the day he decided to play street soccer and ended up injuring his wrist. they actually left out a couple more to that list. he plays the guitar too and i seem to remember him using this shakey mariachi-like thing for a song in a gig some time ago. heck there could be more i don't know about.

i knew the existense of muse and how great live band they are etc but i'm too lazy to venture into new bands for the past several years.

hello seance.. welcome to d board..

they're gonna re-packaged BHR wif a dvd of d three vids starlight, KoC and supermassive, plus footage from reading festival..tho' i already haf BHR, i'd still buy it coz of d dvd n a bonus track 'glorious'..but i doubt dat it'll be available here..ur so lucky deb, it'd be bragging myself if i haf dat japanese edition of absolution..

ahhh d 'nerd' issue. i dont actually care what mags call them. but they dont look like nerds to me compared to weezer or even beastie boys (to name a few..). but it does show la dat d person who wrote dat piece must not like/ see/ perceive muse like we do.. matt and dom are super hot for me.. not nerdy..:D

^ agree, sigh...matt and dom. Btw beastie boys *slightly older nerd* will be in town. Performing in Kiara on the 22nd, Feb. This might be one of the reason Muse will be playing in Bukit Jalil. I prefer it there too. The bigger the better.

i knew the existense of muse and how great live band they are etc but i'm too lazy to venture into new bands for the past several years.

they always play well known songs like time is running out, plug in baby, supermassive, in every gig, but somehow people some people find quite boring when they play those songs every time, so regularly some not well known songs like citizen erased , b & h are slot into their setlist, they always try to balance their setlist from the first, second, third and forth album, so its pretty much difficult for them to sort it out, and they just put some random songs at first, the middle, and so on....

but now after black holes and revelations, i always find muse commonly put knights of cydonia for their finale song and map of the problematique for the intro, and its very sad that showbiz and oos songs like filip, microcuts, cave, uno, unitended has been left out, because matt always mention they have been playin those songs for ages, so songs from oos and showbiz are not much played now in their current setlist for now.....

hm...so the beasties really are coming to town as well?

...should i or shouldn't i? i don't know enough cos i don't really dig their sound...

Yes: cos it's the dudes.

No: i'd be smelling, tasting and seeing manure for days to come. it might even linger around on sunday, still. that, and i'd be risking injury to myself 3 days before the big day.

and everything on that axcess site seems to be 'hotselling', even that rain character, whose concert tickets were available in sg. wang that day as well, at the booth south by southwest of MUSE's, which my friend (you've met her, crazy) claimed to have not even seen a shadow lingering in front of, despite the crowded condition all around...

i seriously hope that u'd go to d beasties gig vspirit... if u wanna save ur energy for sunday, u could always just sit at d concert. i've been a fan of them longer than i've been a fan of muse... no doubt that their music is quite difficult to digest. i remember lending my beasties cds to a friend and he returned 'em the next day.. but like muse they r also amazing live with mix master mike on d turn table..

yes, i agree shannaz, if they dont play citizen erased n space dementia than d show would not b complete!! bring a banner of "citizen erased" and i'll bring one with "space dementia" on one side and "hysteria" on d other...:p n another banner of "marry me matt" :$ to d concert

vspirit
11-01-2007, 09:30 AM
you can sit? cos i'm under the impression that you can't.

and it's not so much that their music is difficult to digest as it is not really the kind of music i'd listen to at all simply because i'm not very attracted to its sound. you can't seriously say MUSE's stuff is 'easy to digest'. I have a history of liking, really liking, bands that aren't necessarily 'easy to digest', not because they are experimental, it's just that they're not pop, plain and simple. cos really, 'easy to digest' just means pop to me at the end of the day. 'pop rock', if it has a rockish edge to it. don't get me wrong, tho, cos i like pop as much as the next casual music listener, which is to say, just fine. i just don't get into it so much cos like i said, it's all casual listenin'.

back to the beasties, i heard a couple from them that i kind of like but i wasn't attracted to their sound in general enough to have delved deeper into what they're about. but i revere them as a long-standing and outstanding enough band to seriously considering checking them out cos theirs might be a live show i could get into, if their reputation holds true. i get into music played live easier than i do music recorded and played back, especially for music that is essentially good, but just not really something i'd listen to on a regular basis.

that said, i seriously think i might go but only if i'm absolutely sure it won't wear me out until Sunday. it being the middle of school holidays and all, too many kids with too much energy to spare might be there to stomp small-boned people like me who are prolly small enough to not even show up on radar to the ground. and also if the tix prices are reasonable and well within my range of affordability after getting double-whammied by MUSE. and of course, if i don't have to go through too much trouble to get the tix.

petrucci
11-01-2007, 09:32 AM
have any of u guys try to play citizen erased n showbiz in the jamming studio??? both songs make me "naik sheikh" when we played those songs...those songs are sooo "berhantu"... but i doubt that they'll play showbiz in the gig here...huhuhuhu...yeah SHANNAZ...it's not a muse gig if they dont play citizen erased...let's just hope they'll play both of them... :D GO GO MAN UTD!!!

crazy_mary
11-01-2007, 09:58 AM
well there are seats in bkt kiara.. there were people sitting when i went there for incubus and hoobastank so i assume u can just sit n enjoy d show. i'm not saying that muse is easy to digest.. but with d beasties its harder if u listen to their albums.. to say that they're a hip hop group would be wrong if u've heard of 'so what u want' n 'sabotage' but to say them a rock band would only b inapropriate as they rap a lot.. but one thing for sure is that they are amazing live. well, from what i've heard and seen..

it is during d school holidays isnt it? hmm there might b some underage punks pushing especially if d tix r cheap.. i assume dat d tix will be a one price free standing/ seating thingy since that is always d case for concerts at bkt kiara..so pushing is guaranteedd!!

mynameisdebbie

so pushing is guaranteedd!!

YES pushing guaranteed indeed! and lotsa horny groping men. at SP, a whole bunch of people were pushing us and a few of my friends fell down and it was all very havoc-y! and i heard lotsa girls shouting "omg someone touched my butt!"... me being one of them -___- but one thing i liked about Simple Plan was that i started lining up at about 5, and i got to the second row! teeheehee. you can easily do that at Bukit Kiara.

i hope it wont be so pushy in The Pitt. but oh who am i kidding? of course it'll be. and i bet many fans are gonna be moshing too. i'm getting scared  i dowanna get injured. eek.

Is their anyway to get passes to meet the band? Thx!

HAH. i wish :( :( :( i hope some radio station or music channel will have some competition for backstage passes though... and maybe a free autographed guitar! omg! with REALLY HARD QUESTIONS.... that only hardcore Muse fans can answer! like name all the bonus tracks from all of Muse's albums. and name 2 b-sides! er.. yeah stuff like that. bahaha.

wow...the only time i went there was to watch that starlight cinema thingy and that was only once and aeons ago to boot. so i assumed that everything would be held at that area with all the wide open space, which is also why i thought it'd be entirely free standing, like a park show or something.

and all i remember from it was...the smell. the stink of horsie poo. if i were a plant i'd be fertilized by the smell alone. if i do end up going, i'm gonna bring along a clothes peg.

malaysian concert organizers, lol.

don't they know that making thoughtless little statements like that will only half sales, not double 'em? i guess that's also part of why concert tix never get sold out here and sometimes even fall below the band's expectation which ultimately results in them never ever coming back for another gig. another nice little example of malaysia's habit of moving three steps forward and two steps back, i guess.

i reckon we've still got a long way to go as far as holding and promoting concerts go. actually, no, let me rephrase that. we've yet still got a long way to go. period.

but what can i do, right? i still love my country.

i dunno, man but the service website didn't say anything and i remember once asking if the floods are gonna be a problem and i think the lady said the route isn't affected cos it's the highway...or summat...

you prolly won't get to read this til after the show anyway. well around the entrance right? just stay put and look as if you're waiting for someone and we'd prolly find you...maybe. xxD

i've never been to s'pore either, oh well.. d gig is like 24 hours from now..i'm not going but am excited wif d idea that they're in SEA rite now.. haf fun vspirit and noisemonkie, pliss fill us in wif details.. esp d setlist of songs they played!

ibelieveinmuse, i dont give a damn as well, but d fact dat they issued a statement like dat really annoys me as it shows a kind of discrimination to a certain group of people.. but i guess they (tiger especially) had to announce dat just to cover their own arses if there r any complaints made by anyone esp those who r in d left wing political party in our country.. u noe, it really should be US to decide not them.. *sorry.. here i go when it comes to our local socio-political issues..* but as someone said in dis board.. what can i do? i love my country..

hmm..wat should i do 2moro since my mind will b 100% about MUSE n d spore gig?
1. show up late to work
2. Read Junk mag wif muse on d cover for d 100th time at work
3. wear all black just to show i'm depressed
4. listen to ALL (well i dont haf showbiz) their albums n pretend i'm at their concert
5. eat all d chocolates that i can find..
6. go to il divo conert.. bleh.. mayb not!

uh...the show itself ws incredible, i`ll give the band that but the moshing was intolerable. the style of moshing was really REALLY bad. so bad, my friend and i, who were in the 7th row from the stage, almost died in there either by a) being trampled on, b) suffocation or c)both. we got pushed down to the ground and bodies were falling on top of us and no one would help us. no one could. we seriously tot we were gonna die. i held up my arm and kept yelling for help (with Hysteria playing in the background...how ironically fitting...i loved that song and...well, i still do but everytime i listen to it, it`ll be laced with some bad memories now. =( it got to the point that my usually good natured fren resorted to yelling "Fucker!" repeatedly in between Hysteria and SMBH in order to be heard til somehow, someway, someone realized and helped him back up. which was about the time i was helped back up, too. by then the two of us couldn't stand it anymore and had to be helped up and out. yeah, we were one of those poor saps. but we were too desperate to care to be embarrassed. i almost lost my bag in the mosh too. my bag of crackers were smashed beyond belief and my fren, who was afraid of beng pickpocketed still lost his change anyway, ironically because they fell out during the hysteria.

after that i was too disoriented to care what the next tune being played was which was why MoTP was blanked out for me. I was catching my breath on the side, fully lying on the ground.

I somehow managed to enjoy the rest of the show from a further area where i could still see them clearly enough and there was actually room to breathe but i guess sometime during then Bliss must`ve become a total blank for me. also managed to retain the presence of mind to grab a t-shirt while newborn was being played.

aaaand also managed to snap some pics thanks to my fren (i'd be crushed to death already if it weren`t for him) and i snapped a few myself as well. a lot, were of course, unusable and promptly deleted but still got some not-too-shabby shots in. will upload those when i get back and now traipsing around singapore at midnight like suspicious tramps. god, i miss my bed.

didn't meet the band tho. we tried to wait a little but then had to hightail it back before the last train back to our port of call., which is where we are now. =)

Overall i must say i wasn't satisfied with the show, with the freakin disgusting moshing. But because it was Muse, i know i had to stay on all the way man. I was somewhere like the 2nd row and i was fuckin singing while being pushed sideways, forward and crushed from above by people who needed to evacuate or simply body surfing for no good reason other than to enjoy themselves and making people esp me lose concentration of the show,

Before Knights came on as the first song, people already started to push forward and damn it, when Matt come out, made me realise how bloody skinny he is! And his blue eyes are daaammn nice. HAha i can't believe im saying this. But i din get to enjoy the whole song as much as i wanted....... I hated that.

I think the crushing got lesser after a few songs and the show was more enjoyable when the lousy security dudes started to give us water. I think by the second song (Hysteria? But i seriously can't remember the exact order of songs being played) my whole Tee was freakin drenched from sweat.

But if i take away all the crushing and moshing, last night i just attended the greatest show on earth. I seriously hope they'll keep their word and come here again.

Von, i knew it was impossible to catch u after the show. I seriously thought that there were too many people. According to yesterday's local straits times, 6000+ tickets were sold. It was such a shame to not have met up. Sorry if you had waited long afer that. What time did u join the Q? Me and a whole group of us came around 2? And we were somewhere around the 20+ person. But a little later we joined our frens nearer to the gate where it was like the 2nd group from the gate. heh heh. I felt ashamed of doing it but i wouldn't wana be left out from my group. And the first group of people arrived at 630:eek: .
Im anxious to see your photos. My sis took some with her camera phone but it's quite lousy but i have something to look at heh heh :D .

And oh yeah, the greatest moment of the show, for me, was to pop a BALLOON!! The last one i think, where Dom was stroking on his snare and just as i popped it, he stopped. I'd like to think that he was waiting for that one to pop then he'd stop. I'm so proud of meself.

Wow, some of the pictures on that site are absolutely fantastic. Not just the position, but the photographer has some l33t skills!! I prolly still wouldn't have been able to get that quality even if I were all alone and the guys posed specifically for me. -.-;;;;

And to everyone, from where I was (about 7 rows away from the stage before I gave up and left the mosh area), the pushing and jostling were very, very bad. Most of my pictures are blurred by shakiness and well, very concert-photo-taken-by-fan-ish. My friend took most of them and given his position, the shots are actually decent, though some are tilted because of...well yanno, things happen. If I were to have done it, all of them would be pretty bad. I did get some not-so-bad ones myself from further away where there wasn't as much jostling tho. I'm thankful that my camera's zoom isn't half bad. If it is, the pictures will come out looking a lot worse than they already are. But none of them are actually close-ups and the guys all still came out looking more like aliens than anything and it was REALLY hard to get Howard from our vantage point. And from that one picture of Bellamy, I must say that Nutz' ones will most certainly be better than mine. I deleted a whole bunch and these are the remaining ones that narrowly made the cut. But then again, my standard wasn't all that high to begin with. So....don't expect too much, OK? Apologies for my tardiness, btw. My entire body's one giant ache now. Er...actually that really doesn't have much to do with anything, does it? Ahahaha...

i don't think you did cos you weren't there. unless you have super farsight or something, and can see across the causeway...

yeah, quite a bit. a lot of "Thanks, Singapore!"s and he did a bit of crowd bantering (tho it's mostly dom) but for bellamy, i'd daresay he spoke quite a bit that night.

and well, i wouldn't hold my breath for the KL one seeing as the venue is Stadium Negara. If it's Bukit Jalil, rest assured the sound will at least be decent but then that's because it's an outdoor. but Stadium Negara, being an indoor type, has not-so-great acoustics. so it gets echoey...

WOW i hope i can get my hands on the full gig somehow. Thx for the link, never knew that webbie existed heh heh.

Hey Nutz! Yea, I actually shouted your name. I even got one of the event ushers to help out. We were all going like, "Leaf! Leeeeeeaf!" but you weren't there anymore. =((( Granted, I waited until the crowd thinned before I did that. I thought you'd wait til then as well. Why didn't you? *sob* Meeting you would've helped brighten up my night further.

Wow, some of the pictures on that site are absolutely fantastic. Not just the position, but the photographer has some l33t skills!! I prolly still wouldn't have been able to get that quality even if I were all alone and the guys posed specifically for me. -.-;;;;

Ahahaha...

Some pretty good pics u got there! u weren't that far from the stage initially eh? And that tee is sooo awessooome heh heh. I hate myself for not buying any merch. I shld've known better than to wait till after the show to pay a visit to the booths. They only had tiny microscopic badges left that were going for $10 for 3-5 pcs i think? And they were selling tthe ugly posters outside for $10 too.

I did me own tee with the design i made. I think it's just OK. Costs $25.90. A rip off in my opinion.

The majority of the people who waited in line for the tickets were malays. Well I think most probably they say the concert will only be for non muslims cuz they want to avoid religious groups like JAIS coming down on them because they're serving alcohol there.

Hello there. I've been lurking around the msg board for quite some time now, finally coming out of my hiding place to catch up with fellow Malaysian Musers. So yeah, hi. :)

I got my Muse concert tickets (RockZone) the other day @ Sg. Wang. Came around 12.15pm with another friend (that I dragged along) and the queue was already close to the KFC entrance. I was really surprised and impressed to see Muse fans queueing up for hours. And oh, it'll be cool to meet other 'real' Muse fans on that day. I can honestly say that none of my classmates from college know who or what kind of songs Muse plays. It's depressing.

But anyway, after reading a couple of concert experiences from the Singapore thread, I find myself vaguely afraid of being trampled all over come Feb 25th. Of course, what's a rock concert without a little bit of moshing right? But yeah. I was at Rock The World 7 recently and the crowd at the main stage was crazy. I just hope most Muse fans would be decent enough to rock out to the music and not just push people like crazy.

All in all though, I can't hardly wait for the actual event. We've been deprived of good concerts for so long! (Last main event worth mentioning: Incubus @ bkt Kiara.)

hello everyone! welcome to the board, guilt-stricken :)

ok i would multi quote most of you, but i'm too lazy.. so i'll just repeat what you guys are saying. after reading the Singapore thread, i am absolutely terrified  since i'm only 16 (going on 17, meaning SPM this year), i'm short, physically unfit with extremely fragile bones and my knee caps on both knees have a tendency of dislocating itself randomly. but it hasnt happened in a while though.

but... but... ITS MUUUUSE. and for us unfortunate beings who missed the Singaporean gig, this could be the one and only time we can ever see Muse live in our entire lives.

so therefore, i really really REAAALLLY hope that The Pitt wont be so horrible like what happened in Singapore. i mean come on, most of us are paying lotsa cash just to get into The Pitt to enjoy Muse and jump around and stuff.. not to push around like a bunch of hooligans.

so here's my er... bright idea. why dont we all go as a group, and NOT push! lol. there's a lot of us here at the board and i'm sure we'll be going with our friends too. and come on, who likes pushing? its dangerous and uncivilized. so if we go together as a huge huge group, we could scream stuff like "We're boarders" and we can help each other out if someone falls over and stuff..

good or bad idea? :D please dont flame me..

crazy_mary
19-01-2007, 09:45 AM
agree wif u deb n guilt_stricken , its not every year we get to see 'em live here so i hope people would cherish every moment of d concert in a non-violent and non-rowdy ways... jumping up n down is normal but to push other people untill they fall or feel suffocated is way insane! i really like when LP came here, mike shinoda kept saying that if someone falls u pick him up..that is actually d general rule of any gig.. people did fall during their gig like 3/4 rows from where i stood, but others helped them up quickly. i hope that kind of spirit still exist especially on d 25th feb..n even bands like fugazi always start their show with reminding their fans not to be too violent..so if there are people saying dat falling n being violant r normal in a rock gig, then there's something wrong wif that person..

do u think we should go as group? i'm sure all of us will be arriving at d stadium in different times.. so that would be difficult.

rock the world crowd is always crazy coz most of 'em r school kids wif too much energy.. so they tend to be wild and irritating.. been to a few of earlier rock d worlds.. loved d performances hated d crowd..

:D kinda like that idea for showing how civilized we are,i really cannot accept those kind of harsh pushing or bottle throwing as it definately could hurt people(that's why i choose seating tix)but as i might be free from that moshing and pushing,i felt quite responsible for bringing up good impression to muse of us malaysian musers and for that reason me myself now had started to advice those whom i know had bought the ticket not to do such badass stuff like what had happened in fort canning...well,i dont think this will definately give a good result but it's worth trying to contribute sumthing that could give us good reason for being a muse fanatic...who knows they'll fall in love with malaysian crowd and will come here more often(o lord i'd be damn glad if this happens)

anyway i got another free copy of the sun(for grabbing slurpee@7eleven) and found out that tiger's having contest where 22tickets up for grab but i'm afraid that this only open to non muslim and above 18,how i hate to mention this again but then again dont worry guys,i'm sure there'll be more contest in this few weeks before the concert and keep on announcing updates in this thread....;)

i like the group idea...just so we can reinforce one another. lord knows i don't wanna go through what i did again. i was even a little pissed at MUSE for not having the decency to even mention something onstage but then maybe they really were just that oblivious. *shrug* either way i now know that one can't depend on them for anything but a good performance (but really, what would be the point of it at all if some of the audience aren't even alive to see the end of it? xxD). guess i really shouldn't ask for more. and while it's true it's every man for himself, sometimes, when someone's at a physical disadvantage, a little caring towards the wellbeing of others wouldn't hurt.

ya know, maybe we should all just agree to meet up all at once before the day of the show. like pick a random date before the 25th when everyone (or the majority of everyone anyway) is available and have some sort of a get-together somewhere, ya know? kinda like a MUSE concert survival club thingy... what say all of ya?

Yes and i noticed that Matt used a lot of guitars on this one. My theory is he wants to test every one of em before his bigger gigs in Aus and ehem, KL? heh heh. But he's always changing guitars for almost every song anyway so I might just be fullo hot air.

sure thing. no worries at all. you guys have got a budget to speak of?

and yeah...ever noticed bellamy changes his guitars during his band's performance set as often as madonna does hers with outfits? xxD but since his has a technical reasoning behind it...

really tho...does he actually need to change them so often? xxD

matt brought to singapore a new manson guitar. a silver delorean manson with no internal effects.

I think maybe SGD$50 for accomodation? I hope to stick within a budget of $200 for the whole trip inc. tickets for myself, if it's possible.

Weird how Madonna has to change clothes. Maybe she don't like to continue wearing clothes that she had sweat in. :D

well if you're getting rockzone tix, they'll cost around RM110 so half that and i guess it's about SGD45 or so...hmm don't think it'll be too much of a prob. but i'll need to go look for a place that'll accomodate for RM100 a nite. actually, that sounds pretty good to work with. there should be decent places available around that price range. i'll look around, no worries ^_~

and yeah, noisemonkie, we're quite aware of that already. thanks for the thought of bringing it to our attention tho ^^

I was a little disappointed he didn't use his Bomber Manson. I think of all it still looks the neatest. I wonder why his new silver one has no internal effects?

...cos the rest of them do? i think it's nice he has one stripped-down-to-almost-bare-essentials one. this way, less people can accuse him of being all dependant on fuzzy logic and effects...

...tho i don't think he actually had it built with that exact purpose in mind...

If you guys don't know where it is, what about me? heh heh.. But i'm sure it won't be too hard to get to, i hope.. The other time i was in KL i took the monorail and it felt like a theme park ride. I swear the monorail's window was almost parallel to the ground below when it made a turn. So stadium negara is on petaling street?

edit: If you guys haven't checked out the gallery of the fort canning gig, go now. Pro photos.

it's not on petaling street per se. just near it. it's still a main road away, up a hill, pass Stadium Merdeka on the right, and you'll see it to your left (unless you're coming from the opposite direction, in which case it's the, well, opposite). either way, if you find yourself in the petaling st. area, you're near enough that you prolly can't go wrong.

sorry guys, didn't make my message clear in my first post! i went to singapore to attend their concert. it was a bummer coz i bought my ticket before they announced the malaysian concert.

anyway, will go for malaysian concert again. haven't buy my ticket tho!

yeah, i think it's a great idea for us to meet up together. good time to make new friends that like muse too.

any suggestions on the gathering? if the singaporean friends are coming down a day before, then maybe we can meet up and show them where the stadium is? a quick tour around that area and some chit chat.

btw, Impiana Hotel is the closest to stadium negara and it's next to Puduraya. so if you guys are taking a bus down from singapore, it's the most convenient spot.

...i don't really consider myself a hardcore...i'm more a fan of their music rather than the band themselves (and after their negligence towards the crowd in s'pore, they can go $#%$& themselves but their music...it's innocent so yeah i'll continue supporting them cos of it xP ---OK no i'm being not entirely serious but i am still more of a fan of their music rather than them...always have been...i'm this way with all the bands i like anyway but and i /am/ a lil pissed off at MUSE). and stalking's a bit much, isn't it? but hey, kudos to those of you who are going through with it and have great fun if you really get to meet em. don't forget to let them know to take more notice of what's going on in the crowd when onstage and say something, /anything/, when they notice something amiss.

but soundchecks...they're done within the venue itself, aren't they? and no way they're gonna open the gates before at least an hour before showtime. hotel near KLCC? you talking about Mandarin Oriental? *whistles* pricey, classy place, that.

You know Muse did their first soundcheck for Fort Canning on the 15th evening, the night before the gig. My bro was there and he called me while i was at work to let me listen to Matt jamming on his piano and later on doin almost full songs of Stockholm, MOTP and even Fury although they din play that for the actual gig  . They also soundchecked on the afternoon of the gig day and we could hear it from where we were sitting outside the stage area. They also did a little bit of TAB which didn't make it to the setlist   . So you guys should try to meet up outside the stadium. I'm sure you can hear previews of bits and muffled sounds which should be enough to give you goosebumps. \

I wonder what will Matt scream for the part before the rock-out part in KOC, you know where he screamed, "come on, singapore!!" at fort canning. Will it be like, "come on, malaysia!" or "come on Kualer lumpuur!" (a bit of a mouthful).

and i seriously don't doubt the restrictions are just there for show. galaxy, the /major/ organizer, has firmly said there aren't any. they're probably the ones responsible for handling all the red tape. i imagine tigermusic's role in being joint organizer is to advertise, promote and generally spread the word. and like someone else has said, since tigermusic's the one handling all the publicity, they probably had little choice but to put that restriction notice there to throw authorities off their back. no doubt the 'event' in question is merely the buying of beer from the stand located in some corner. i wouldn't worry overly much if i were you.

well it seems uv misjudged them, they pulled it off quite well and unexpectedly impressed all the judges, heres the review i read, theyr the only band got 5/5 rating, cool isnt it...

Stage 3

Last week, Brian Vinesh thought that their performance so far has been average, but been impressed with the band playing. Apparently, Brian has also said that this band has so far not picked the right songs to perform throughout the show. This week, CODA performed an outstanding show by actually playing each other guitar, 3 in a row. Dedicating to their family and friends, 'Starlight' and dedicating this song to Bunkface and United Kids of Oi! 'Plug In Baby' by Muse.

Brian Vinesh: Sat here for 4-5 weeks, and it's the first performance that

indeed wanted to clap for them

Good job on all the Muse songs

Very good performance, very impressive as Brian is a fan of

Muse

If 'Plug In Baby' was performed wildly, would have given all

the votes

Joe Flizzow: Very impressed

Very good show and good set

Very confident on stage

Good vocals and very good show

Out of 5 stars: 5/5

how do u noe that? dat's good news.. i think

good to noe that there's a malaysian band who's brave enuff to do muse cover.

EDIT: just checked galaxy's website, yes the pitt's tix r sold out.. suddenly my pitt tix seemed so precious now.

Yea you're damn lucky to have it man... u better run in 1st with the tic b4 u loose it while bragging it outside the da stadium man. I went to the Putra Stadium to get those tics, the lady told me Muse giler hebat.

I was like " Wa, aku tak sangka Muse kat Malaysia band scene kuat". :pope:

She say " Muse hebat man, tapi kebanyakan yang pegi tu Malay boys, masa Jan 7th kat Sg Wang tu, 1k+ ppl pegi sana beli ticket cos 30% off, hampir habis..."

Me again "Bagus la, kalau Msia bawak band cam nih byk lagi bagus... my friends who wanted those Pitt tics would fly over from Sarawak for them..."
:musesign:

One of my friend say that this kinda indie, alt etc music scene still do not appeal much to alota chinese peeps, its even harder to open up their mind to indulge and enjoy this kinda genre. (He and I are cinapeks going to muse OH HELL YEAH! :musesign: )
What you guys think?

 indeed.

there /are/ chinese fans...i saw quite a lot of em...but most chinese who listen to them are prollly bananas...if ya know what i mean...and i've always had the impression that malay rock fans seem partial to britrock and indie stuff so yeah, there were a substantial amount of youngish malays that day. i heard, tho not in so many words, that a lot of them (the young ones) aren't the politest of people and that even if you're a tiny weak sickly girl standing at about 4 feet in height, and one of them can easily triple you in mass and body weight, will still gladly step on your face to get to the front.

this doesn't bode very well for some of us...i'm not vain by any means but i still love my face for the biological and physical convenience it allows me. granted i'm neither sickly nor weak, and neither am i a 4-footer, i'm not very substantial in size at all...someone bellamy's size will break into tiny lil pieces in there...and i'm smaller than him.

that group idea is really sounding more and more like an extremely wise one...

lol actually every time i've been run over in an environment when the adrenaline surge is high, it's almost always a male of the young (prolly still a high-school goer or a first year college freshie) and malay variety. i never really thought much about it but thinking back on it now, i've never really had that kinda problem with males of other races...malay girls, on the other hand, are generally nicer than some from the other races that i know, my own included. so it's a race + gender thing, i reckon, tho not in the biological sense so don't get me wrong. here, let me elaborate:

i'm sure they're punks of other races but i'm willing to venture a guess that their problem all boil down to their attitudes. they prolly aren't very likeable at other times either but these malay kids, they probably are great people, so i'm not saying that they don't have hearts in all the right places, because they do. even moreso than the others but let's not go there. they do, however, in a high-energy environment, seem more prone to letting all the adrenaline go to their heads and cloud their judgment than other people of the same gender but different races. and if i have to turn analytical, i'd venture that it's the environment in which they grew up, and the people they hang with, rather than their biological makeup cos that just plain doesn't make sense, that makes them more prone to totally losing themselves. which means, i don't think that all the young malay kids of the male kind are all completely uncouth when excited. i'm aware that i may be stereotyping some but i'm also well and truly aware that it's not written in stone that as long as they're young and they're malay, they're all gonna be like that. I have met quite a few who behave in an exemplary manner...but there do seem more of the former than the latter in events like this in M'sia, based on personal experience (which i'm sure you yourself have a lot of, crazy...more than I do even, if we're talking about gigs held on local grounds). =/

in hindsight, though, most of the nice malay guys i've met in int'l concerts here were pretty stable and laidback and...they're adults. so there's no telling that when these hooligan-wannabes become full blown adults, they won't do a complete 180. sigh...or maybe i should just chalk it down to MUSE bringing out the worst in everyone. it's all their fault. bloody over-talented freaks.

and tackling that other issue you brought up, crazy, there aren't that many fans gathered in this thread to begin with, a handful only, really, if you factor in just how many turned up to buy tix on the 7th. it's just the same old people over and over again with the occasional new handles who post sporadically and then disappear altogether. that, and let's not forget that i said most chinese who like these sorta bands are bananas, meaning english is their...our...strongest mean to express ourselves in, written or spoken. the rest will go for stuff like...leehom, i guess (ironically, leehom is pretty much a banana himself but it's all about catering to the market innit xD)? whereas, like i said earlier, for malays, it doesn't matter whether or not they speak good english, they are more partial to the english rock scene (and this is totally my biasness speaking, have better taste in music) in general. so with this board and thread mainly in english, i don't think they'd feel too driven to post here. a couple tried, trying to start conversations but in malay, and well, you saw for yourself how that turned out. we answered, though in english, and they're never seen or heard from again, resulting in the only malays who remain gathered here to post regularly are ones like yourself and nuts and a few others i'm sure, who are on top of the food chain within your racial bracket when it comes to communicating in english...and, at the risk of stating the obvious, there really aren't that many of you.

Snakehead
26-01-2007, 08:05 AM
thats y they say Muse play intelligent music...;)

sometimes its not just them or us being partial to the rock scene eg indie, alt rock. If we really learn, analyzes, "listen" to their music as well as to how the band play as a band and their instrumental skills, and enjoy doing it at the same time,... being at the top, mid or bottom of any racial tree ( as what vspirit says) it doesnt matter anymore. I dont mind talking Malay or English or Mandarin because to me, language is just a medium of communication, the only means to create racial integration.:)

I really hope the Msian thread grows out to all races after the show, then we might get to know alota people, maybe hidden local band gems that are overshadowed by very, very commercial bands that sounds like some other. (I really like networking :D )

People in nature like to belong to something because it creates the sense of security. Who knows those who are here, may one day, after the show or future gigs, chinese, malay, indian and other races hang out? that'll be real nice man...

Oh c'mon! Surely you know the Absolution dvd does exist? I got mine at Gramophone in sg.. I think hmv shld have it? It's the 2004 glastonbury performance(not full setlist though) plus some extras like TOADA, the groove, fury and endlessly!!

Actually i feel that the Malay dudes in sg can be quite energetic during small gigs too. If you happen to attend an 'emo-core' or whatever 'core' nonsense gig there is, the mosh is usually made up of Malay dudes. Occasionally you can see one or two girls in it (almost always Malays too). Strange aint it.

the absolution tour dvd DOES exist! i'm having my friend's one right now.. he bought it from a pasar malam. lol. he also borrowed me his Incubus live in Red Rocks one which he bought from a pasar malam too. its amazing, what you can find in your regular pasar malam. however, the absolution dvd he got doesnt have TOADA and stuff..but it does have the ending Stockholm Syndrome though. which is really awesome :)

lol Skylar, this thread has been going on since even before Muse announced their gig at Singapore, nevermind Malaysia! lol

vspirit

i know it exists. i've just never seen it before. tho it probably shouldn't come as a surprise cos i'm kind of a slacker and don't really /look/ for things...even things i tell myself i want badly. *chuckle*

right, your question. if i was out of it enough to completely miss MoTP and Bliss (even while i was just standing there and watching the balloons being popped one after another), what makes you think I'd be paying attention to what he's actually singing? xP i was so far removed, i prolly still would've completely missed it if he sang the whole thing in Hokkien.

so i cheated and checked youtube ahahaha. bet you never thought of doing /that/, huh? xxxD er...ignore that last bit. anyway that's what i did, and the answer is....nope. followed the album version to a T. well almost to a T, but you get what i mean...right?

Rock the World crowd is certainly craaazy. But I do agree with your earlier post stating that they're mostly school kids with a LOT of energy. I sure hope the crowd in the Muse concert will never be a repeat of RTW, if yes, then I need to find a group to stand together with. Pronto. I for one, and I'm sure many of us here too, love going to concerts mainly because of the music, and not just for the purpose of trashing other ppl in the event of rocking out to the music. It's fine that you're rocking out, but please, please do not get other people involved or injured.

As for the more bananas loving Muse comment, I cannot agree more with you. Lol. I'm actually thrown in a crowd of mandarin speaking people in college, and when you ask who's going to Muse, they'll all look at me and go ?!?????. But if you ask them about the LeeHom concert, oh well, I guess you guys know the answer to that. I suppose it's the same when they ask us about chinese bands and that we hardly know anything about them, I think it's just the different culture and way that we're all being brought up.

But ultimately however, I think all of us are there and we're all connected in one way or another for one reason. That we're there for the purpose of great rockin' Muse music. ;)

Let the countdown begin. 29 more days til we see Muse!

but after BHAR was released i noticed that muse were becoming more mainstream and no doubt that those albums were sold well here so i dont have that "too worried that muse would starve if i dont buy those original albums"..how pathetic i could be if it comes to muse...

back to that dvd thing i reckon that i've seen most of the footage at the earls court but i'm dying to own that dvd so i could play it again and again(that happens to my hullabaloo dvd and now its running slower than usual if i played it in my laptop)

Well the band was called Single Track Mind... and the music wasnt that bad, but it was a bit Emo and INXS doesnt really mix in well with Emo bands. And on top of that the lead singer was disgraceful, never on pitch or anything. There were a lot of Australians there too... at Muse me and my friends will probably be the only ones...

And the tickets for the Pitt were RM382 which as a student i could never afford.... so we got Rock Zone tickets... which is the same as what we for Muse. But the seating plan was exactly the same.

29-01-2007, 09:42 AM
i'd say both but i don't really have grounds to diss kiara cos i've never attended a concert there before. i have been there for the starlight cinema thingy (pun unintended...er this one wasn't intended either...-.-;; REALLY) and all i could remember from the experience was hearing the mosquitoes shouting "free food!! free fooood!!!" in glee all night, and the overwhelming stench of horse manure. so powerful it was that i kept superimposing the head of a horse onto johnny depp's shoulders, mocking me throughout the night. crazy didn't exactly have a blissful experience each time she went there either, or at least that one time i know for sure she did, but that was more due to the unethical and overzealous young crowd rather than the terrain itself.

FC...what can i say about it. i've actually already said my fill, which i'm sure you've noticed, so i don't think i should repeat myself. and should you have read the singapore gig thread then you'd realize that the slopey terrain wasn't exactly conducive to the experience at all. i believe it was mentioned that it's great in theory but phailed big time in practice because the organizers hadn't taken the crowd's overenthusiam into consideration when deciding upon the venue. i also wouldn't entirely blame the organizers either for being overwhelmed (cos it's not something they'd expect based on past concert organizing experience) and i'm sure they know better now, that is to prepare for the worst no matter how docile you think the crowd will be. taking things for granted will only lead to grievous consequences.

you're half right tho. it's not really fair to blame the venue when it works fine at other times. there were a lot of other factors involved that night and the terrain just didn't help matters much, if any at all, that's all. so forgive me if i don't completely agree with your opinion.

^ iunno. my 8 year-old mind was asking the very same thing.

and you guys do know that if we were to agree to go as a group, it'd be imperative that we all meet there on the day at around the same time, so as not to step on anyone's toes by jumping queue. and i think i'll be going pretty early. as in sun has just risen over the horizon early. so if you can agree to that, we can make a date of it. otherwise, we could probably form two groups. one earlier, one later.

no biggie :)

maybe having a gig at slopey terrain is not a good idea after all. can't imagine the crowd of the slipknot gig. as for slayer at least it was held in an indoor arena. no slopey terrain.

well, i'm not really sure about the open area of bukit kiara, where the starlight cinema was held. never experience any concert there. been to bukit kiara once...the bukit kiara indoor arena when incubus was in town. one of my best concert experience. the worst is kl tower...dewa19 gig. stadium merdeka was ok...melawati shah alam indoor was ok...not sure about stadium negara..hmm *wonder* *wonder*

rm83 tix..la..la..la..do i have a choice? a big NO! ;)

Yeah well at INXS, I was in the rock zone, but some of my friends parents got seating and they said it was great too. It's a fairly small venue compared to my experiences in Australia (i only been here for 2 years). I'd say only hold about 5,000. So basically you'll be able to see them easily from anywhere in the complex. When i went to see blink-182 in canberra, i could only get sitting tickets way up the back and you could still see them easily... Only thing is that sitting isnt quite so fun. But get tickets quickly this'll be sold out way soon

Hey there, all.

Just thought I'd drop this here to get the ball rolling once and for all.

So meetup, meetup.

Date: February 24, 2007
Day: Saturday
Time: 1300hrs
Venue: Bukit Bintang McDonald's

Those who can make it, please include a "w00t!MUSE (http://board.muse.mu/showpost.php?p=2612934&postcount=719)" in your message and make it orange and bold, and link it back to this post like I did.

All are welcome. Even if you aren't there to form a mosher-defense group with us, or heck, even if you aren't going to the concert at all. The only requirement needed is that you're a fan of their music. Hmm...come to think of it now, antifans (in the context of antiheroes, not the literal translation) are welcome, too, I suppose. What? You have to admit it'll make things interesting...no fistfights, though, cos none of us can afford to be warded or injured in lieu of the following day's event.

As for an identifier of sorts...well, I've been thinking *real* hard on it--gears being rusty from disuse and all--and placing something on the table seemed like a fairly brilliant idea to me. A sign of sorts, ya know? *beams* As to what the sign will say I have yet to work out but I'll come out with something, I'm sure. Suggestions are welcome, too, but nothing too directly MUSE related, k? I wanna something quirky...

I'm not much of an organizer (I usually leave the dirty work to others) but I figured I'll make an exception and get off my lazy arse for this one for the sake of not being moshed to death, after nearly having been. After this, if there are any slacking duties, please leave 'em to me! *salutes*

Lucky i bought the moshpit tix earlier

btw if u guys wanna meet up.. why not... itz a good idea to meet up so we can help each other out if any of us got hurt in the moshpit.. btw i'm not sure whether bukit bintang is a suitable place to meet up due to the crowdy area.. btw i'm fine with that.. juz want to see if anyone turns up...

I actually read somewhere that the event is restricted to Non-muslims, 18 and over. I seriously doubt this is true. They wouldn't have sold me tickets otherwise... i'm not muslim but im only 15 so yeah. Its probably just applies for a certain area where they're selling alcohol...

mynameisdebbie
30-01-2007, 02:06 PM
by the way... i heard a few people bought TOOONS of tickets for 30% off, and are selling them for the normal price. talk about scammers... -__-

anyway, i'm up for the meet-up-beforehand-and-form-a-mosh-defence-group-on-the-day-after idea, but i wont confirm it yet. i have no idea where bukit bintang McD's is. i'm lost when it comes to KL. why dont we meet up at the stadium itself, and "get to know" the stadium? so that we'd know which entrance to enter from and whatnots... *coughstalkcough* and that way, some of us might be more familliar with the place and therefore, wont get lost on the way there the next day.

so since i'm only like.. half-confirming the meet up, can i type "Musew00t! (http://board.muse.mu/showpost.php?p=2612934&postcount=719) " instead?

er...i seriously just wanna meet you people. nothing more nothing less. i'm not even sure the mosher-defense thingy will work or not (there's a chance we might mosh each other to death, even). this stalker thing...well if you guys wanna go for it, be my guest. but the gathering i'm hoping will come into fruition isn't for that...so if you just wanna meet up and chat and trade enthusiasm, then the le muchos is for you. if stal--trac--trailing the band is more exciting for you, then i suppose you can form a different gathering for that...or you could go fulfill that mission of yours after the le muchos while some of us head on home.

and deb, i'm just arranging a place where it'll be accessible to most everyone. if a lot of people can agree to it, then we'll just stick to it. if a lot can't, then we might go for your suggestion. is that fair enough? (tho truth be told, i really don't wanna hafta go to the venue a day before...since i'll be spending most of my following day there, looking at the same view over and over again...sides stadium negara ain't that far off from bukit bintang...it'e pretty darn near in fact, so much so that if you can freely choose to go to the stadium, you shouldn't have any problem going to bb as well...)

and there's another reason i suggested bb. if we get too restless to stay in one place for long, we can always adjourn elsewhere without too much travelling involved, anywhere that's anything being within walking distance and all...

and so far there's only one confirmed taker, if i don't include myself. there should be more of you out there...i hope...

indeed, me like! the obvious reason why i suggested KLIA arrival hall n traders hotel as our meet up venue...but anyway..serious tone: we can always go to the stadium after the meet up (if i'm able to go to d meet up dat is..) since bukit bintang mcdonald is not that far from d stadium.. or like jerry suggested: starbucks petaling street. nearer to the stadium, right in d middle of the town.. those who r using lrt, stop at plaza rakyat n walk towards petaling street.

n jackson_asdf, i finally saw d add in the sun. that non-muslim, 18 above event thingy is printed rather small dont u think? so i doubt there'll b any restriction for d muslims or even those below 18 to be in the pitt..

don't worry..they won't care...last year i went to the W.A.S gig...also organised by tiger..they had the same non-muslims above 18 oni thingy..but i went anyway..it was at zouk..the bouncers at the entrance asked for IC, i gave mine..and they let me in anyway....and i got a free tiger on the way in;)

it's very hard to cater to everyone's need. some prefer to meet up at another location, some another date.

since we've decided to meet on 24th Feb at McD, why not everyone try their best? else.. you can also set another gathering on 25th Feb. who knows, maybe some can attend both gatherings?

i'm pretty sure most of us would want to go to the stadium early on the 25th... maybe we could meet up then too, while we're lining up.

and about the 24th thing, like i said, i'm only half confirming cause i'm still a kid and i'll probably have to take public transport.. which i am completely clueless on, btw. i'll probably end up taking the monorail to BB, which is the same route i use to go to Sungei Wang, that IS the right public transport to take right? anyway, yeah i'm only half confirming cause i intend to bring my friend(s) along too, thats okay right? it doesnt necessarily have to be a strictly-boarders-only meet up right?

"NO cameras, camcorders and audio tape recorders, analog or digital are permitted into the concert area." by the management.
but..as for us concert-goers.. we intend to ignore dat ridiculous rules n just go for it...

i completely agree with you there. but since my sister is going too (she got the Rockzone ticks. i already taught her the Starlight clap! ), she's definately gonna bring along the FAMILY digicam with her, so if i wanna take vids.. i guess i'm gonna use my cameraphone instead. :(

so if you're really really afraid of bringing your digicam, you can always use your camera phone. assuming your phone has a camera, of course. luckily for me, my camera phone has 2 megapixels.. technology these days, huh? :)

do you think i should be the one bringing the digicam since i'm obviously gonna be nearer as i got the Pitt ticks when she got the Arena Rockzone ticks? :D

saw the pics and vids taken by ppl in front at the fort canning concert? they were mostly blur and the better pics/vids were taken by ppl who were sum distance away...

similiar if not more aggressive moshing shud be expected at the pitt come 25 feb, so i think u shud let ur sis do the work..;) u can try taking pics from the pitt tho, if ur chun camera phone has those anti-handshake/jerking feature thingies..

i'm gonna ask my friend to take pictures or even record some parts of d concert wif my handphone coz she's not a fan.. i guess dat'll give her something to do at d pitt and i can enjoy d concert more.. plus i think tired.unhappy is gonna record d gig with his/her nokia n series phone so.. i hope that dude will post d recording here..

people always bring cameras to concert.. so far no problem.. but dont quote me on that..and yeah xy3038, wif d pushing and shoving i dont think d pitt is a suitable place to take pix.. unless if u'r rite infront.. but i reckon d pushing will be worse at d rockzone area coz it look bigger than d pitt..

and yeah good point... i just got my new phone and if i lose it, i may lose my life too with that :(
i've got a feeling the Pitt is gonna be more violent as the more hardcore muse fans will be the one there, as they're willing to spend more cash. holy shit i hope i dont pass out in the gig...

here's an idea. Muse performing a second date in Malaysia! wahahhaha what are the odds of that, man?
