For me, it's got to be Minimum, especially live. Most people don't seem to have heard it - which was it a B-side to?

Escape, Hate this and I'll love you off Showbiz
Darkshines off OoS
I actually heart the interlude off Abso, dunno why..but its not really an album with any 'underrated' tracks as such I don't think
Glorious and Crying Shame should've been on BHaR, not even replacing any tracks, just making the album bigger.

As for B-Sides, In Your World, Yes Please, Twin and Spiral Static(my fav. Muse song atm)

Exo-Politics is definitely simple, but no more so than say TiRO, or IYW.

My only qualm is that it leaves a lot to be desired in the percussion section, but I get that quite a bit with Muse.

/agree though, it's still a great song, and IMO has aged pretty well.

I agree wholeheartedly, not sure why it gets so bashed. I find it simple, very clean and straight forward. Love the riff, the blend of guitar and bass, driving percussion and the vocal harmony...i am waiiiiitttinnng patiently. Perhaps my favorite from the album.

I'd say the reason Exo-Politics (Can't really say Exo now incase people think you're referring to exogenesis) is because on the album, it's bland, and doesn't sound as good as it did pre black holes, plus the lyrics aren;t as good in my opinion as they were either...

USoE is underrated, I agree with that, and Uprising too. Perhaps because they were heard independantly first, people heard them a lot and then got more interested in the rest of the album.

Definitely Hoodoo too and Soldier's poem. Hoodoo is so emotional and I love the vocal harmonies on Soldier's poem. You know I heard Chris say that they had been quite interested in doing an album of songs similar to Soilder's poem. Goodness knows what would have happened to them - they probably would have arrested and given the death penalty!:p:LOL:

City of Delusion is my favourite song. I can appreciate why it isn't a single, but why it isn't popular with Muse fans? No idea. It's one of the few songs where Matt really uses the full extent of his voice.

That, and probably Citizens Erased. I love the synth leading up to the chorus and the vocals. Longest song in Muse discography too, I think? 7:19.

2.- Hoodoo
3.- Take a Bow
4.- Ruled by Secrecy
5.- Eternally Missed
6.- Glorious
7.- Thoughts of a Dying Atheist

I think fans overpass these songs because theyre newer and somehow hardcore fans reject these ones and call them "pop" constantly without even getting to actually hear them properly... specially the three i mentioned from the pwoper BH&R album.. idk how people can call that album commercial basing themselves only on hearing SMBH and Starlight... its a work of art overall along with every other muse record...

I agree on HCM. It's funny, for years I found Hyper Music to be a dull track that is out of place on Origin of Symmetry, and now I'm addicted to it. Still, on OOS, I'd still only give it 4 stars.

Gonna revive this thread since the "Overrated' one has been getting so much attention. :p

Endlessly: I find it beautifully haunting. (Hauntingly beautiful)?
Uprising: underrated by Musers, not casual 'fans'
Exo-Politics: Such a catchy little song, I can't help but love it.
Soldier's Poem: Just started listening to this recently, I love the vocals.

Endlessly: I find it beautifully haunting. (Hauntingly beautiful)?
Uprising: underrated by Musers, not casual 'fans'

Going with TOADA, mainly because I see a lot of claims about it being "B-side quality". Now first, a lot of Muse's B-sides from that era are as good as many songs on the LP's, so I don't see the problem with that. And while it's far from the best song off Absolution, it has an awesome chorus and a pretty decent riff (yes, I like it).

Who knows? They just said it "didn't work". Maybe the atmosphere couldn't be translated on the quieter bit to the live performances, which would make the whole song quite dull and pointless.

City of Delusion, Hoodoo, Glorious, Escape, Screenager, Dark( )shines, Falling Away With You, Sing For Absolution.

And also NSC. Matt's best vocal performance ever! (Okay, probably not.)

Fillip.

I love how the tempo picks up again for the final chorus. Would be excellent to see live.

Almost all of those songs are loved here :erm:

I never said they weren't loved. Just over-looked...

Besides, have you seen how many new fans are on here? Most of them hardly know the back catalogue. YET.

1. Citizen Erased has won several polls for the best song.
2. Escape had a petition to be played live that got pretty big.(Not just a thread where you could vote)
3. Dead Star is in most people's top10 on this board.

And most of the others....well, they are all the most successful songs from their albums. MM, Sunburn, Cave and Feeling Good are all very loved, even though FG has been getting quite a lot of negative criticism for being played live far too much.

And who are these people on this board who doesn't know Muses back catalogue? I have hardy ever seen one. I'm actually surprised how many of the new fans are already getting into songs like CE, Sunburn and Cave.
