The entire character list has now been leaked since the release in Japan. Have a search online and you'll easily find it! :D
I also should mention that despite the heavily circulated release date of June, Nintendo have stated that it is not coming out in June, hinting that it may have been delayed AGAIN!!!
:'( Why do you mock us, Ninty?

It would be different if they were actually making the game better (since most ninty delayed games are fucking awesome), but I'm guessing this is all localisation delays. :(

Oh right, I'm confusing this with Mario Kart. That will be why.
It was released in North America today, I got up early with some friends (well, not that early but it was a Sunday, haha) to go line up at EB Games. I didn't reserve a copy (they did) but we were like, 10th in line so I got one easily :D
I feel so special, being the supergeek to have it right away.
We all went back to their house, got some more friends over and we played it for like 4 hours, was fun. It's friggin FULL of content. There's so much to do!! :D It's awesome.

I've no idea, not having played the game, but the GC is similar to your normal pad layout and is cheaper than a new wii attachment. But It can't be all that hard getting used to the Wii controls...

i tried the turning the wii control sideways way and that didn't work out at all, now im using the nun chuck style and its working out so far, i am getting the GC controller new for $15 tomorrow and ill see how that works out, i realized the classic controller is pretty much a waste, so i just took that out of my options.

Yeah the classic controller is a waste. Problem is Ninty try to make people by it by making the Virtual Console games have bad controller layouts for the Gamecube, but obvious ones for the classic. :indiff:

You can get the Freeloader from CodeJunkies website, or BMCdigital.com. However the best bet would be eBay, as it's overrun with Brawl/Freeloader bundles, and it works out slightly cheaper.
It CAN go online, but the lag between UK and USA is supposed to be crippling.

What should I expect from Brawl. I've not read too much about it but I've heard it's gooood.
Hmmm, I don't think it's the greatest Smash Bros game ever but it's still good nonetheless.
Has anyone tried going online with it? What features are there online?

Yeah been on with random people, only with brawls though.
Quite fun.
You can do the Homerun game with another person, multiman brawl (or whatever it's called) and then just the usual brawl with your friends.

Hmmm not sure I like the whole new story mode - I think I preferred just having arena battles and the odd time attack level. But it does seem much longer, which is a plus in my book; even if it may be a little too long with the same format throughout, (I wouldn't know lol I'm only 8% of the way through)! I'm also a bit disappointed with the Wii controls; they could've done so much more with waving the motion controller - like you have to press a button for Kirby to do his special slamming weight move, when it would've been more fun and easier to just slam the controller down - more Wii-ish. It's all just button pressing when it should be about the waving your hands around like a loony lol.
But those are my criticisms. All in all, I love it lol SSB ftw - well done, Nintendo! :yesey: Although I was expecting more considering the hype around it.
My rating: 7/10
I've been using the Classic Controller all the way through. I can imagine it being a hassle with the Wiimote. Story mode is actually quite good but I hate the fact that you now can't get bonus points in arcade like you could do in Melee.
Does Wi-Fi work for anyone when they try and start a Brawl or a Team Brawl?

I can never get into a Team Brawl match. Quite annoying.

As for how controls go:
Gamecube- very good, a bit chunky for some people like me.
Wii Remote and Nunchuck- Personal favourite.
Wii Remote - Impossible to play effectively.
Classic Controller- a bit fiddly.
