I'm trying to find out the capacity, I know how bit the kinda area is. Probably between 1000 and 2000 poeple I'd say.
Also though, I've just thought, it might be a more 'select' gig, especially if it is the one they were offered by the council.
Presumably they'd be playing outdoors though?! What's the weather like there in August/September anyway?
I went end of August last summer, on the day Embrace were playing with Hard Fi supporting, which was funny cus my mom rlly likes Embrace, but back to the question, it was very sunny and warm.
The tropics dome was terrible, bout 27 outside, inside was 35 :( Everyone came out wet

good good. i wish we knew a date
Clunge
10-04-2006, 03:37 PM
We can pretty much guess the date.
All the other sessions are on Friday or Saturday:
Saturday 12th August 06 = The Magic Numbers
Friday 25th August 06 = Goldfrapp
Saturday 26th August 06 = Muse at Reading so it won't be then
Sunday 27th August 06 = Snow Patrol
It won't be Friday 18th or Saturday 19th because Chris said Reading would be the first English gig.
Therefore, I'd say it's gonna be either Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd or Sunday 3rd of September.

Hmm, have to go back to school on 4th. Hope it's on the 1st or 2nd, need to get back to london. That is, if Muse even play, which they hopefully will. Ah, bugger it, who will care if i'm a sleep deprived zombie on the first day back! It'd be worth it.

ok, £30 a ticket, so £90 for the 3 days.
now as its a guessing game right now, which day to buy? we could wait till after they are announced (which there would be no chance of a ticket, a 1500 - 2000 capacity venue for Muse? Look at Earls Court and how big that was, that sold out quick enough!)
muse are so big this will sell out immediately after its announced. so as its near definate they are playing, i say buy tickets now.
but for which date. speculate people, speculate.
A select gig?...is it just for local people or can everybody go to the gig.
How much cost a ticket.
£30.
but then theres travel, god knows how much a train ticket is from Guildford Station to Cornwall is! about £50? god knows.
and accommodation over night? the train trip would be 3 hours and if the gig goes into the night i dont fancy coming home at 4am. so thats another £80 for a Travel inn.
:(

it would be such a fantastic place to see them but it would be such a pain to arrange and so expensive to get to.

No, you can't just go to Eden and buy some tickets. My mate works there so he can get tickets before they're released. You all have to wait.
Just rang up the ticket office.
They are not allowed to tell although they slipped up so it definatly will be a band. Its guna be announced this week.
And no going to eden wont get you tickets.
+ i just found out my from my friends brother that works in eden, it is definatly muse.

ahh it feels like we've been waiting for ages now..so...i called to find out more info...and the lady i spoke to said it was unlikely the tickets would go on sale before the end of next week..and the way she spoke that kinda sounded like the earliest possible date..but she DID say she hadn't heard yet... but....yea she could be lying of course
also the tickets won't go on sale until a couple of days AFTER its been announced..so hopefully we won't have to worry about missing the tickets going on sale...then again..get ready for the mad rush on that day for people getting tickets..i'll be ready pressing my 'refresh' button

St Austell local bands are crap. I'd prefer someone good that's not local.
Regarding the capacity, they're waiting for a response from the council on whether they can expand or not, so it's going up, about 3,500 I think.
