such a fucking incredible gig. We had Vip seating but we managed to trade them for pit standing and we were in the pit pretty much the whole gig.

oh, and http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj277/aliofcydonia/P1010245.jpg

You can listen to it here, just stops during Skin and Bones and does it :chuckle:

Hopefully a video appears of it too!

Taking a leaf out of the Josh Homme book of dealing with assholes in the crowd .
You beat me to the punch of that line! But seriously, that's the only way to do it. You have to make the assholes look like assholes.
If someone starts some shit up at a TCV gig, they're fucking screwed now!

Now I want to know what would happen.

Oh yea, they'll have two--and the both of them together would be downright scary.

It's the same stage as all of the Foo's own shows :)

Dave always likes to have a walkway out into the crowd.

From the looks of it it could be like MK when we had a platform on top of the sound booth and a runway linking that with the stage.

I don't think the arenas will be tall enough for that, would they?
I bet it's just the stage layout they've had for their arena tour in Europe, ust a standard runway with a stage at the end. :D

Had a dream about Foos last night. Went to a show, and Dave filled out evaluations of how up for it each person in the crowd was after.

Oh, and they also performed What Would I Want? Sky by Animal Collective so that was a little weird.

Yeah for the arenas it may well just be a standard runway into the crowd from the stage. However the show plan posted above is for a big stadium, where it can fit. The runway certainly looks long enough. :)

Sydney Football Stadium is 45,000 (I've seen the venue on the U2 Zoo TV DVD). So the MK stage it is. :)

It's possible, seeing as a 2nd Melbourne one was announced (even though it's still not sold out). Sydney still isn't completely sold out either:

Just saw the Foos at Lolla, in the middle of an epic downpour. :awesome: I wish it had gone on for another 2 hours! Surprised to see All My Life pulled from the setlist, but it was still a roaring good time. :D Nothing like yelling out the lyrics to Everlong in a crowd of thousands of soaking, mud-splattered drunks.

Now if I ever heard them play my favorite song live, I could die happy. :supersad:

It's a toss-up between Come Alive and Come Back, although I love a ridiculous amount of FF songs, especially from Echoes and Wasting Light.

On that note, have an amazing piano cover of Come Back. I want to learn it so bad! :supersad:

Seriously, anyone out there who hasn't seen these guys live before has GOT to. I went from casual fan to declaring them my 2nd favorite band, simply after that one show  It was very eye-opening! I did not want it to end, despite the rain and mud :chuckle: They sure know how to put on a show :\mm/: (And OMG Dave Grohl, you're 20 years older than me, but I don't even care :stongue: )

Come Back is definitely my favorite. It's so different than all the others, but Everlong is second (even if that is a cliché).

I wish they still did the Everlong performance like they sometimes did on the last tour. It was acoustic and then turned electric. They did that at Austin City Limits in 2008 and there were people crying.

There might have been people crying at Lolla, even with an all-electric Everlong. :shifty: The difference is that it was raining too hard to tell.

 Awesome song, though. Def in my top 5, and the video is hilarious.

I actually prefer the version that is mostly just Dave and his guitar. Here's a link (http://video.pbs.org/video/1505979251#)to that version for anyone who hasn't seen it. It's the 6th clip.

On a totally shallow note, after watching that clip, all I can say is DAMN!, I forgot how hot Dave was with the slightly longer hair.
