When I went to their concert a month ago he jumped off the stage, ran towards me, used my shoulder to get up on the bar, ran down the length of the bar, ran at me again and used my shoulder to get back down and said thanks and smiled. His eyes are just :eek:.

The first time he ran at me I was like :stunned:. I was wondering what he was going to do. :LOL: I've met them at nearly every show I've been to. Jared's brother Shannon is a sweetheart.

Yes, Jared has INCREDIBLE eyes, but then so does our dear Matthew Bellamy; both have unbelievably clear baby blues that seem to look right into your soul. I met Jared on a street corner before the Seattle show (spotted him walking past our car, where we were staying out of the wind and rain; those unmistakeable eyes gave him away, even with his hoodie pulled up over his head) and I can tell you he was very cordial. And yes, Shannon is a sweetheart (watch your spelling, M---he might be insulted to think he's remembered as sweaty!) and was so nice in Vegas, where he remembered having met me in Seattle. Another sweetie is Matt the bass player, who gave me a big warm hug of thanks when I gave him some live Muse performances on CD/DVD in Vegas, after he had noted my Muse hoodie at the Seattle show and told me he and Tomo were big Muse fans.

For you 30STM fans: this is a YouSendIt link, and so will only be good for a few days, but here is their new video of The Kill. There is a clip from Fuse with a phone intro by Jared; bear in mind that Bartholomew Cubbins is a character in a Dr Seuss book! Sounds like a ruse our Matthew might try!
(Jared directed the vid, with homage to several films including Hotel New Hampshire and The Shining).

i bet more than half the people who listen to their album/like them etc only do so because it has Jared "Sexyface" Leto in it. :rolleyes:

Then I must be one of the 1% to 49% that don't. I picked up "A Beautiful Lie" after a it was recommended by a metal-head mate, and I thought it was one of the more underrated albums of 2005.

And when I heard it I didn't know who was singing, I didn't know who Jared Leto was, or what he looks like. Which, if anything, goes to show that they really do make damn good music.

I just got their latest album a few days ago and I like it quite a lot.
It's not the best and the lyrics are a bit bläh at times, but it's good.

The self titled album is great, much better than A Beautiful Lie. And its definitely not emo! They seem to have been lumped into that genre now. But who isn't these days. :rolleyes:

I love their music, I like the kill, a modern myth (gooodbyyyeeeeeeee) aaand well all the others really :yesey:
but muse is still the best and my number one :D :musesign: :p

They have good songs, but all their songs are very similar.
If I listen to their songs separetly, it gets me less bored than if I listen the whole album of once. ;)

i marginaly prefer the first album, but i think they're both brilliant.
i got into them late last year after a friend's recomendation.
and in (i think it was!) February i missed out on the chance to see them live, (i was in Camden the day they were playing there, but didn't realise it until i saw Jared Leto walking past me down the high street!) so i made sure i went in April.
brilliant show, and they're nice guys!

Hmmm I thought 'attack', the first song I heard of theirs, was pretty good, then I heard 'the kill' and I thought it was 'meh' then I've heard 'From Yesterday' mm not bad, but (IMO!) the songs I've heard of theirs sound a bit similar, same kinda chorus.

But I love A Beautiful Lie, its great :D
Just as their first album.

I saw them live in May...
the gig was okay.
They totally rocked out and stuff... but Jared's singing wasnt all that good.

Went to see them at Brixton last Friday and they were great. We weren't standing in a very good spot but still, the atmosphere was brilliant. They obviously have a very strong following though, it was packed and people were really into it.

I've only got the latest album but other stuff I heard at the gig I really liked. Sounds a bit like My Chemical Romance, and Jared seems to be going for the Gerard Way look with all the make up. :rolleyes:

However, I like MCR so I don't care. I'll definitely go and see them again if I get the chance. :)

i wouldnt worry about going alone hun cos u always get chatting to ppl beside u at gigs. have u joined their forums? u should do. i am just in the process of getting to grips with it all. their fans are apparently really close-knit.
its worth getting in the messageboards. this way u will probs end up not having to worry about being alone at any of their gigs cos u'll likely have meet-ups arranged.

After going to the Muse gigs, I'm now not happy unless I'm near the front. I don't enjoy it as much.

Oh yes, the :rolleyes: look. Don't worry, I get that from most of my family and friends about any gig I go to. There is always a look of pity or slight shock on their faces.

i was two rows from the front at their brisbane gig and it was really quiet as tehy were about to do an accoustic bit and i yelled out really loudly 'jared, i'm pregnant' and everyone around me laughed, and jared was like :wtf: then rolled his eyes and kept strumming. and then we all got our tickets signed afterwards, but jared refused to hug me.

that story was completely pointless, but just thought i'd share.

yeah, they do. i'd find out where it's going to be before hand (security will tell you) and then make a run for it as soon as they're done otherwise you'll be in the queue for aaaages, cos they tell everyone they're staying, so loads of people wait for them.

Manchester has sold out so I can't get a ticket for my daughter, and I can't see either of my buddies dropping out...

Yeah thats a good point. At brixton last time they guy asked me how old I was. I said 16 and he said ...are you sure? I think he only asked cause i'm small and wasn't with my mate at the time. But if you just say she is over 14 they wont give a hoots. As long as she has a ticket they wont care;)

They performed The Kill, with a string section. It was the most amazing thing, I don't have to words good enough to describe it.

Then they did their cover of 'Stronger' by Kanye West. Fantastic, completey made i their own song.

I found out a guy called Timmy has replaced him for now. Came from a unreliable source though.

it was a good hour after registering, I looked in my inbox for the email and that's when I found it in my junk folder. I'll try it tomorrow incase there is a time thingy on it. I was pleased to see so many familiar names in the Muse thread :happy:
