I think their guitarist could be miles better, half the guys in kit & tab would agree that we could do a better job, the vocals bass drums and keyboard are spot on but the guitar lets them down. He doesnt even play the right harmonics for Citizen Erased

edit: having listened to all the tracks im definitely gonna say they need a better guitarist to be a decent Muse tribute band

for a whole band yes, but some of the kit and tabbers put together better covers. Crazy_Bob for example

but thats just him and a computer programme....

I could do that! We should create a Kit and Tabbers Cover band. I've got dibs on drums!!

We could even turn it into a competition....oh the possibilities....

thats a damn good call, i may make a thread about it
get the best drummer, singer, guitarist and bassist...get them to somehow record all their parts seperately, then crazy bob can mix em together somehow :-s if that can be done

LOVE the absolution keyboard set up!!! :D

The frontman is brilliant - he has matts piano skills to a T. Tho it looks like you may need a better drummer....no offence....but:

"Scott, drummer, is unaware of the ending Space Dementia Piano Solo."

"Scott is unaware of the structure of the Butterflies & Hurricanes solo."

"Jonny teaches Scott, the sub drummer, how to play Butterflies & Hurricanes."

"Si teaches Scott how to play the intro (Part 1)."

On a very slightly related note, we got ourselves a new drummer last week and as far as common ground of playable songs, all we knew collectively weere Muse songs.

So we bashed out about 10 complete Muse songs within an hour of meeting each other + very hashed versions of about 6 more.

Twas awesome  + He's an uber-ised-drummer.

Hi, my name is Chris and I come from Canada. I'm starting a Muse tribute band. I think I can do the front man job pretty well. I discovered that guitar player and he got the same influence than me and I also like to play surf rock style like he does. I also play keyboard. I will send demo when it's going to be done with the band.

Hi

one of my bands plays some MUSE in FRANCE.

it's not a tribute band...
it's a rock band (with its own compositions), but we make some "muse's tribute concert", because we really love that music.
www.myspace.com/parkingprive

here is a video, medley, captured during the preparation of such a gig, in décember.

the next one is april the 30th.

hope you like the video !!!

Good stuff, onzieme diese, that was fun to listen to. The singer really needs to enunciate some more, though; Matt already stretches words a lot, so you need clear consonants or the lyrics are not intelligible.

Have fun with the show!

Yes Guys and girls I am in a tribute called Hypermused check out our site. www.hypermused.com Started about a year ago, really struggled to find a keyboard then found a great guy via the net, who has subsequently gone back to Spain, so having started building a good following we are starting again but back gigging n November with a stand in until a permanent replacement can be found. So if any of you are keyboard players and live in the Oxford / Swindon area and fancy it drop me a line via the website asap...

All ready got 2 of the new numbers sorted..come and check us out if you are in the area..Windmill pub in Swindon on the 13th November...

Hey we are from Palm Springs, California (Home to the Coachella Festival) We are a 4 member Tribute to MUSE called H.A.A.R.P. (yes I know we have another great Italian tribute band of the same name to look up to.)
We have been playing local shows out here for the past 5 months and have about 90 minutes of music in our MUSE set.
Uprising - TIRO - Hysteria - Blackout - US of Eurasia (Collateral Damage) - Undisclosed Desires - Butterflies and Hurricanes - Starlight - Supermassive Blackhole - Feeling Good - Stockholm Syndrome - Knights of Cydonia - Map of the Problematique - Newborn - Plugin Baby - Resistance - Exogenesis I

Our website is http://haarp.netau.net

look for our demo songs to be posted in the next few days..... with some video too.

We are working on our stage lighting show and are always looking for fellow tribute band members to share any suggestions. Just email through our band webpage!

Also have any of you ever gotten to meet Muse or get in to sound check or backstage at a show? If so, who in management can we contact to find out how?

Peace!

I've noticed that no tribute bands have 'Muse' in their name. It's either Mused or Amuse or Muse added onto a word to make a whole new word. Not to sound stupid but is Muse copyrighted or something... Haha.

No, but if I was, it would be called Citizen Erased (i know, i know).

It IS a good band name, whether you mean it to be Musey or not.

I am trying my hand at piano and synth and stuff and I, in one word, suck. But I suck with style .

Hey, any of you in a Muse tribute band? :D

Hi, We are a UK Muse Tribute band from The Midlands UK, Yes a British Muse tribute! - we have recently been reviewed on our last gig as;

"We were excited to be able to get tickets to see Mused which are the tribute act for Muse. I wasn’t sure what to expect as Muse are my favourite band and I couldn’t see how a tribute could do them justice. Was I wrong!!! Mused are the closest you will get to the real thing! They sang all the favourites like Hysteria to some new stuff. The lead singer is a true showman and there was a great crowd there supporting them. Great music, great atmosphere!"

I've observed that no honor groups have 'Muse' in their name. It's either Mused or Entertain or Muse included onto a term to create a whole new term. Not to audio ridiculous but is Muse branded or something...

I've listened to a few tribute band covers on Youtube, but nobody comes close to this band

I think they are Italian. Lead singer has a heavy accent but hits the notes. Musically, the band are almost perfect!

I am drummer in the band "DEHAZE" and our new song is inspired by Muse in the absolution era, what do you guys think of it?
