Does anyone on the board listen to Mindless Self Indulgence? I've been getting into them recently, and I like what I hear. The only CD I have is "You'll Rebel To Anything" and I've been playing it on repeat for the past few days. It's good stuff. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

True. I downloaded some of their songs because I knew they were supporting MCR.
I liked the songs a lot. And now, after I've sene them live, they have become one of my favourite bands. :)

I was just looking for MSI tickets and saw this...so here I am.
But I come bearing news.
From the MSI message board itself.
Rumour has it that MSI are doing four shows in the UK in Apr 08.
We don't know for sure yet but I've just been passed on to a website by a fellow MSI board member.
www.seetickets.com
Have a look for yourselves......
And yeahhhhh MSI rawks.

I went to go see MCR back in November at Newcastle Metro, MSI opened for them.
I thought they were good performers live, but they are absolutely disgusting! They were talking about messing about with 12 year old girls!
That got into Kerrang magazine, so maybe for publicity, but still!!

My friend has met them twice. She said that when the support acts come on, they normally come out in the foyer where there aren't many people. However this is only sometimes, so there is no guarantee of this. She has seen them 4 times and met them 2 times, so it's a 50-50. That's why I ask, to see if there are some bigger fans on here. The majority of fans seem to have appeared within the last year since they supported MCR. Meaning they will probably only know songs from 'You'll Rebel To Anything' which is just plain annoying.
I can't wait for Clarissa, Bring The Pain, Capital P and I'd love Backmask as well actually. All of the set, fuck it, we'll keep 'em hostage :)

13 days AND 16 days, beat you both :)
Little quiz: who can name the song my undertitle is from? NO LYRIC SEARCHING! :p
It's Robots in Disguise in Brum, don't know about Yeovil yet, it's probably the same.
lots of multiquoting there
If i'd have been online at the time I'd have answered it :D
To be honest, me and my daughter got into them through MCR, but NOT through the marriage thing. We went to see MCR at Sheffield and when MSI came on stage within 5 seconds we were 'YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'. It was the stage show that got us hooked. Sorry if that makes us n00bs, but we have youtubed them relentlessly, got the CD's and consider ourselves to be really into the band, just not for as long as you others. The most important thing is we have discovered MSI and that's all that matters
I believe the support at Manchester is Robots In Disguise too, I think its the whole UK tour? I'm sure thats what it said on the ad in Kerrang
Can't wait to share pictures and stories with you all. Hope you don't mind an oldie hanging out in this thread with you

At least you've done the research ;) that's always good!
That's what I read in Kerrang! but I backtracked when I just checked the official site. Either way, the support shouldn't be too bad! :D

I don't mind the MCR fans as long as they know more than YRTA. There was such a difference from when I saw them at the beginning of last year to the end though. When they played Clarissa in October I jumped like a mental because its one of my favourite songs, and some 14 year old on the front row wearing a MCR hoody turned around and gave me an evil glare. That's not right :(

PWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSS SSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEE don't hate me for discovering them from going to an MCR gig.
I look at it this way - if I hadn't have gone to the MCR gig I'd never have discovered MSI so it did pay off, big style :happy::happy:

that's the bit I don't get - my natural reaction when I discover a band is to just get hold of as much as I can of their stuff, but there are people out there who just stay with the 'familiar' stuff. I just go crazy wanting to find out as much stuff as I can. At my age
Thanks for not hating me for being a n00b btw

They've put previews of every song on the new album up on their myspace player: www.myspace.com/mindlessselfindulgence
I was surprised to hear Revenge! Even though I've seen the tracklisting before I somehow didn't connect it to the old song. It's nice to finally hear a recorded version of it.

Nottingham is nearer for me, but we're having to go to Manchester as they are the only 'local' venue who admit under 14's. I may just have to sneakily go without my daughter knowing :$

I like it the way it is - but maybe on the back, have it without the skull, and move the octopus/squid/whatever the feck it is more to the center, with the writing over the top of it. If you get that last bit.
Aren't they playing with IamX at some point?
