I was reading this review of MUSE's sell out gigs at earls courts (http://www.musicomh.com/gigs2/muse-2.htm) and it basically says that Matt is the only one. I think this is so wrong. He is the 'frontman' but without Chris and Dom then Muse wouldnt be Muse.
I was just wandering if anyone else agree with this??

I suppose that's true, that Matt writes the songs etc. but Chris and Dom must have some input into that. and they are all great musicians so i dont think that it's fair for people to focus their attention on one single person.

O.K...... I meant radiohead has 5 stage members who all live in their own little world on stage, while 3 people are performing the other 2 are delivering backing tracks so they simply have members who can deliver the backing tracks......
And this also means that muse as a threesome are more productive in proportion to radiohead..... meaning muse does as much as radiohead when they're making music.....

You as muse ?fan? may have enjoyed other bands more but the majority is surely in favour of muse..... and please do not question matt his skills and like any guitar player can play the backing track from Stockholm Syndrome and musically SS is perfect.... when the guitar is the main instrument in a song he doesn't need to play his keyboard but this doesn't mean he can't..... take bliss live as an example when he plays his keyboard the transition takes longer and this would fuck up a song like Stockholm Syndrome

Matt is perhaps the star but the music is based on the strong rhytm&bass parts, and it's because of Dom and Chris that Matt can shine. Muse to be Muse needs them all. But when I go and see them, 95% of the time my eyes are glued to Mr Bellamy!:p

I think it's easy to get mad because we're the fans..so naturally, Muse = Matt, Dommy & Chris. But I think you have to put yourself in other people's shoes. If I wasn't a fan...I'd naturally associate Muse with the lead singer. It's inevitable and I'm sure they know that. I honestly don't think it matters. It would start to matter if Matt developed a major attitude and was all like 'yeah I'm the lead singer and everybody else can go f**k themselves'. But it seems to me that the balance of power in the band is pretty even. I guess it's comes down to whose opinion is more important. I don't think that the band relies on some poncey journo for their success..whereas the fans..we matter innit. :D That is all. Goodbye.

completely with you even though matt is amazing at what he does he cant do everything. Went to see them on Sunday and Dom actually does a lot of the talking to the crowds! They are all amazing at what they do which is what makes us love muse and their music, not just matt.
