They played No One Knows at a club last night, I pretty much ran back to the dance floor. Some guy told me to "enjoy it" because I was in such a rush :$
I do this every night.
They suddenly played Knights in the union on monday, me and my late just legged it and danced like foos'.

I once stumbled and then aquaplaned on one knee across the dance floor after I ran to dance to a song. :$ It was worth it though.
Has anyone heard any rumours about support for the UK tour legs yet?

I highlighted the ones I've seen live because I'm bored. When I saw them play Regular John they threw in about 6 jams in the middle of it, I was so tired afterwards.
I think mine would go (regardless of lineup, as this is a dream setlist)...

Infinity
Make It Wit Chu
I know, well cheesy with Make It Wit Chu as an ending, but imagine everyone being dead exhausted, they leave the stage aftr FIG, everyone's shouting for more, even though they're half-dead, and it's all dark, and they come back and start with the riff to Infinity. Everyone goes fucking mental, and mroe exhausted, but without any pause, they just jump onto MIWC, and everyone's all like "aaaw" and breathes out. So so so good in my head. And yeah, not too fond of Era Vulgaris as a live thing, though I guess I should put Sick Sick Sick on there.. maybe before 3's and 7's..

About Brixton - what time does the doors open & gig start?
Merci.
Doors open at 7 for most Brixton gigs. Headliners tend to come on around 8:30-9pm, support is often around 7:30-8pm.

QOTSA To Make Cartoon Movie
Queens Of The Stone Age are set to make an animated film about the adventures of their cartoon character Bulby, reports GIGWise.
The character, shaped like a light bulb, has featured on the artwork to their latest album ‘Era Vulgaris’ and also their promo videos, but now the rockers want to expand this.
According to reports, the band have met up with a major Hollywood studio to push the project forward and have drafted in designer Jason Noto and musician/ director Liam Lynch to work on the movie.
A ‘source’ told the Daily Star: “The boys have been writing ideas for a film after meeting with a major Hollywood studio. It’s a really funny project. It’s going to be the new SpongeBob SquarePants or Ren And Stimpy.”

they confirm the taping of the session, plus we have to wear mining helmets and overalls for our own protection when we go down the shaft.. and the band demands that we keep wearing them during the concert as well! hahaha, I laughed so hard.. what a great idea! its going to be 330 lucky, lucky people!

Woo, just got back from Brighton! It was a very very good gig. Ace, even. I totally "connected" with troy, he kept looking at me and at the end he threw his plectrum to me but it went flying off elsewhere. But I did get one of his plectrums from his mic stand though
I also got two setlists pretty much stolen out of my hands, which is why this is now in no apparent order.
Hanging Tree
Burn The Witch
3's & 7's
You Can't Quit Me Baby (yummy extended version)
Make It Wit Chu
Tangled Up In Plaid
No One Knows
Misfit Love
Go With The Flow
Battery Acid
Little Sister
In the Fade
Do It Again
Song For The Dead
Into The Hollow
Sick Sick Sick
Turning on The Screw
(not in that order in the slightest)
Not an amazingly special setlist but it was a great gig, great energy, and the guys actually seemed to be loving it. Troy was jumping about all over the place. Pictures soooooooooon

GOD, Troy impressed me so much last night. Whenever I see footage of him he normally only does that thing where he sort of bends his knees a bit while playing, but he was literally jumping over the whole place, it was great. They were all spazzing out a bit, haha.

I wouldn't count on it being gone. The last 2 nights they've played 2 or 3 different songs. So...depending on tonight's gig, we can kind of guess what they won't play tomorrow? I'd actually love to see them play You Can't Quit me Baby again, but i'd love to see leg of Lamb or infinity. or Better Living.

Hopefully I'll get some joy at either Brixton or Reading. I can't believe that my Reading ticket hasn't been sent out yet. Can'tSeeTickets' tracker says that it's dispatching shortly. :erm:
To be honest I doubt I'll get far forward enough to take decent pictures even with a 3x optical zoom camera. I can't handle getting squished in the crowd at all as I get stressed and panicky after a bit. :noey::(

:noey::(
I'm the same...for me it would have to be barrier, or standing just outside of the main pit area, which is where we stood last night!
Had a great view though, the stage seems quite high in Liverpool, compared to what i remember of the Manc academy for the Biffy gig!! Was a bit rough last night though, my foot is killing me from a girl standing on it (she had heels on!) when she was jumping around like a loon to Go With The Flow! :(

I have to stand well back. Even people banging into me repeatedly irritates me and I need space to move or I get so agitated and want to shove everyone away. I'd have got a seated ticket but the trouble with Brixton is that it's first come first serve and you can't see much if you get the late and get stuck with the seats further back.
I've always wear a pair of chunky Buffalo trainers to gigs as they give me a couple of extra inches of height and I wouldn't feel it if an elephant stood on my foot. :D

Oooh forgot to say, as we were walking out last night, the bassist and the woman from The Zutons were walking out next to me!! Was kinda cool! :D

God knows what possesses some people when it comes to gig attire. There's nothing more annoying than a person who brings a massive bag/rucksack into the pit because they are too tight to use the cloakroom. I don't understand why people throw their drinks either, it's bloody expensive if nothing else. Damn, I should go to gigs in a bubble. :D
I never see anyone famous at gigs. :(
I get quite envious of people who have the time and confidence to meet bands. I always have to leave quickly after shows as I have an hour or more long journey home and need to get up for work the next day. Rubbish.
Anyway, um QOTSA tomorrow, wooooo! So looking forward to 80s Matchbox too.
