I saw these guys at Reading and thought they were awesome. I finally got hold of the quiet life ep today and it's great stuff.

I went to a Nine Black Alps show yesterday, in Glasgow, and as usual, I wasn't expecting anything special from the support bands (especially after seeing how shit the first one was), but The Longcut really got my attention! I don't know if these are the right references, but they kind'a remind me of The Cooper Temple Clause and a bit of Radiohead, just without the electronica.. :confused: :LOL: I mean, the way they start like maybe a regular song, and then the lead leaves the microphone, goes behind the drum set and then it's no longer a song, but a 'set', or just rhythem.... Know wa' a' mean?

And yeah, the songs are great, and I really liked the way the guitar player used a drum stick to play.

So I guess I'll have to rummage teh Interweb for their EP's now... (But I'd appreciate any downloading links :) )

I saw them back in May 2005. When they actually played together, they were really good. The trouble was, most of the time the bass and drums (when the drum kit was being used) weren't locked in, which made it sound messy. They sounded like they needed to practise playing together as a band.

yeah, his voice's shite :LOL: And he's a pretty good drummer. I went to see them last week, in Glasgow and it was excellent :happy: Even got a free vinyl.
And the support band, Shitdisco, was pretty good.

Can't wait for their album...
